Daughter received text from credit union about usage. I have no account there so I called for fun and they wanted 3 pieces of info card #, name etc. Looks like a very bad way to get card info.

I received the same information only I have now had a credit card for 8 years.

I received the same message of "suspicious activity on my credit union account" from 1-800-670-4308.  I called for grins, since I don't have a credit union account.  The automated attendant answered as Capital One.  Funny, I don't have an account there, either.  But this is how many people are sucked into identity theft.  Leave your name, date of birth, account number, SS#, and they have everything they need.  DON'T CALL THIS NUMBER.

I find it funny that Capitol One would alert me of fraudulent activity on my account when I don't have an account with them.

I just received a text message asking me to contact this number regarding "Urgent security notification: unusual activity" from the Credit Union Department.  Well don't fall for this B***S***! This is only a FRAUDULENT attempt to acquire personal bank account information.  !!!!!WARNING DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS MESSAGE OR CALL THIS NUMBER!!!!

Text message similar to others from no.ad@ncuaservices.org indicated unusual account activity.  Direct to call number.

Called number and indicated "Capital One" and asked for credit card number.

oh yeah, the original text came from darren@anestel.com .... i plugged in www.anestel.com and got some computer chip repair company's web site.

Recieved a text on my cell phone: "Credit Union Department urgent security notification:unusual activity." I of course thought this was suspicious, and there was no activity in my bank account, but I called the number anyway.  The only identification by the automaton was "Credit Union General Department" and in order to access my account they needed 3 pieces of information in addition to my credit card number.  I was unable to get a real person on the line.

I received the same text, but when I logged into my account, there were no messages and no unusual activities reported. I'm reporting this to the company's security department.

The phone number listed was 8006704308 and the email address proved was no.ad@capitaloneservices.com.

Got text messages from random email addresses refering me to this number. The text mentioned unusual account activity and to call immediatly. I did out of curiosity only to find that it was a bad attempt to phish cc numbers from thwe unsuspecting. On the phone they say they are with Capitol One. They are not.
