It's a fraud. If you've ever taken out a payday loan then the loan company sold your information when your account went into arrears. They claim to accept your debt on behalf of the loan company, but they never pay them. I would report them to your local FBI and you can also file a complaint with the Civil Mediation Bureau at www.econsumer.gov.

Bogus call and caused emotinal distress to the entire family.  If they call again I will forward call to States Attorney's office.

I got a call from "Mr. Smith" saying he was with the lawfirm of Staley, Lawhorn, and Lebowski.  It sounded strange to me so I called the number at 5 o"clock on a Saturday morning and a man answered.  I called directory assisstance to see where the number originated.  It was a cell phone number from Georgia.  I was able to find out it was from the vacinity of Griffin, Georgia.  I then called the alleged law firm and a woman answered the phone as "Mr. Smith's number".  She took a message and he called back in about 15 minutes.   He said it was about a payday loan I had taken out a year and a half ago.  He said he wanted to take my "statement", but I was never told anything was being recorded.  He said they would file charges if I could not pay then.  He wanted a credit card number.  I told him I was out of work and he told me papers would be filed and issued for me.  I am sure it was a scam.  I have not gotten any papers.  He acted like he was upset when I said I did not have any job or money.  He hung up quickly.

got a call from sheree glover, same old song and dance. going to send you to jail, put you on the rack and lock you in the tower of London!!!! Lord Help Me!!!

I asked them for their complete mailing address and requested they send all information that they have on me via us mail. Would not give me the address and told me to "google it". They have got to be kidding!!!

The internet search for Staley, lawhorn and lebowski in atlanta area. It is a construction company that is having its address and info hacked for a quack, dirty debt collection company.

They use many different numbers and fake names of "investigators". They will say a complaint has been lodged for depositary check fraud.  Get real folks.

Pay not one dime, email or mail the legit Staley, Lawhorn company and let them know what these scumbags are doing in regards to the mailing address. Do as I did, file a complaint with Federal Trade Commission, the state attorney generals in your state and georgia. Blast the internet with these complaints and able to warn future victims.

Are you serious? If you'd willingly give your credit card number and private information to any Joe Schmoe that calls you, you're an idiot. An idiot probably working for this company or some other scam artist. Never give your credit card info over the phone if the company is unwilling to validate the debt for you. The second they threaten you, they're breaking debt collection laws. It also means they're using fake numbers, fake names and you're unlikely to find the company online. Trust me, I've tried. Don't listen to this fake.

You would think that but I am getting calls from these same people and I don't owe anybody so maybe I don't deserve this abuse and maybe nobody else does either.

I am ready to sue them for the same thing. I'm not sure where they are located or a physical address to serve them at. Where did you find this information? When I google the name i get a location in georgia for a construction firm that also does "business and financial management". Is this them? Any information would be wonderful. Thanks, Trevor

Save your messages , I am a debt collector for a prestiges company an fell on hard times an had to get a paydayloan as well! Well sara called my relative an left last four of my social states she investigting me for check fraud an a whole lot more on a vccml! This is all violates the fdcpa! Educate your selves google fdcpa! contact the attourney general for your state an also call morgan an morgan like me! LOL now who's laughing all the way to the damn bank over a 200.00 loan! I called the investigator back but she wouldn't answer the phone. Saw I called back and left a message stating that I had bought the prepaid card she asked me to buy to pay the debt thinking if I said that she would call back but she never did. I wanted to let her know that you can not have a person arrested for not paying a debt. I don't even know what payday loan she's talking about. Maybe she will call back. I think they are fraud.

I recieved a call from an investigator Sara Brown and she stated that she was isuing a warrant for my arrest if I did not pay a payday loan.

I received a call from a lady named sars brown from staley ,lahorn and labrowsky stating that they were going to send my name to the magistrate off for a payday loan. the number she gave me was1-678-383-4372.

I have been receiving calls from a Angela Turner saying she was from this law firm if I dont make these payments that she was sending a summons to my local court system for arrest but never sent me confirmation that this law firm was real and then sends me an email without a letter head these scams need to STOP.

I received the same harrassing phone call several times.  They threatened me with arrest and refused to give me anything in writing.  They hung up on me twice.  Very rude and abusive over the phone.  They said they were prosecuting me for fraud on a PayDay One loan.

They called me and said some of the same things they told the other people about how if i didnt pay i was gonna be served with a warrant....the ironic part is that some posing as a sheriff from my counties sheriffs dept called me this morning claiming they had the warrant....come to find out it was someone who had hacked the phone number and called me from it...i called the sheriffs dept myself and there was no such warrant and not only that they told me u cant be arrested over a debt u owe only sued  Also, the thing is i did have this payday loan but it has been paid in full so these people are some real scammers to say the least....i called the police dept from where they were calling from and i called the federal trade commission to file a complaint.

Called trying to get ahold of my husbands ex wife saying she had a service warrent for deposit account fraud.

i keep getting these same calls and they call my mom's cellphone, daughters cellphone and its very disturbing. who are these people? is there any way to stop them.

A man by the name of David called,  stating that he is from Stayley Lawhorn Law office and that he was trying to reach me in reguards to a payday loan I took out 3 years ago and never repaid he said. He then said if I didnt pay $400 by next week that there would be a warrent out for my arrest and that it would be a criminal matter. So I called back and asked how to spell the name of the law firm and a very rude lady asked who I was and then was reluctant to spell the lawfirms name and then quickly hung up on me.

They called my work and left a message stating I needed to call them back. Upon researching the company on the internet, I came across people stating these calls are fraud. They need to be stopped from calling people.
