I got a call from this number, and because I am a minor and didn't recognize the number, I didn't answer, but I don't want them to call again.

How retarded are you that you think anyone from there would read this or, for that matter, do anything other than laugh at you?

Received a call from this # and the following exchange ensued:

Me: Hello?
Caller: Uh, um hello may I, uh, please speak with *name redacted*
Me: That depends on who is calling.
Caller: Uh, is this *name redacted*?
Me: That also depends on who is calling.
Caller: Is this *name redacted*?
Me: No comment.
Caller: Uh, Okay buh bye.  

called me at 815pm and was very rude.  asked for me by a name I haven't used in 10 years.  I wouldnt confirm the name and asked who was calling.  The woman said Natalie and then demanded to know if I was known by the former name.  I told her I didn't know who she was.  She again said Natalie.  I told her I didn't know a Natalie and she get nasty saying she wasn't going to give me any information unless I told her who I was.  I told her she called me and I wasn't giving her any information unless she told me who she was or why she was calling.  She said if I won't tell her who I am, there is no point in us talking.  I can't believe the nerve of some of these people!

I checked out the number on here before I called them back.  I had an idea what it was about.  The first person I talked with was "Jermaine."  He was rude, obnoxious and hateful.  He yelled at me.  Frequently stated, " You've refused to pay.  You've refused to pay. You've refused to pay."  

I stated I'd not received a letter from them regarding the debt I owed.  He was once again rude, and when I asked about having a letter sent to me repeated stated, "You've refused to pay in the past and I'm going to put down that you are refusing to pay now."  

I asked to  talk with a supervisor.  Jermaine refused to allow me to do so.  He said , "i can give you payment options or put you down as refusing to pay.  Why won't you pay.  You're a deadbeat."  He kept threatening to hang up on me and mark me down as "refusing to pay."

I asked for the options, and he told them to me.  He then wanted me to make a decision.  I told him I needed to discuss this, and think it over.  He said, "I'll mark you down as refusing to pay."

I had him make sure they had the right address, they didn't.  

Once again I asked to  speak to a supervisor, he refused.  He said he was going to mark me down as refusing to pay... I told him to do what he wanted.  I hung up.

I immediately called back, and  talked with "ASHLEY" who was very helpful and kind.  I told her about "Jermaine."  She apologized for his behavior and said she would mark it down.  I decided on the 12 month payments and we got it set up for that.

My question is why would anyone (Jermaine) talk with a customer the way he did if they were being recorded?

I do plan to mail a letter to the company later today and tell them what  happened. Jermain was rude, and no one deserves to be badgered like he did me.

I've been getting calls from Various numbers associated with this debt collector. Finally I got this number and was able to call them back and asked why they were calling me. They asked for my name and when I gave it, they told me I'd be taken off their list.

This is a scam!
In the past several weeks, I have been receiving calls from this party.
First @ my home and now on my cell phone; how they acquired my cell phone us unreal!
They have so caled aquired information form a few creditors who, of which, I filed for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy in 2002.
They also want the paperwork regarding the case numner of the bankruptcy too.
As a point of reference, they use the following phone numbers:

Two tricks:
1) Inform the caller that you are conducting a legal investigation & you are recording this call{Legal in CT}.
They usually hang up because they have something to hide or they get nervous.
2) I have been giving an alias name. I inform the caller that there was no one ever at this number and they hang up.
Either way you look at this, this is a scam.

I received several calls from them today on my work number and cell number.  I finally answered and they said that they were a creditor by the name of Portfolio Recovery Associates.  I told them before I do anything I wanted their federal tax id# and they refused to give it to me stating that they would call me every day until I resolve this.

I have been receiving calls from800-722-1413 and they are asking for my older sister but using her maiden name.  I am curious as to how/why they are tracking her through me.  We haven't shared the same last name in years.

Call twice everyday for nothing. Like a harassment call. Extremely annoying. Don't know how to terminate this kind of call. Is the telephone company supposed to terminate their phone service?

I have been receiving calls from these people.  The odd part is they do not leave a message.  They leave what amounts to static and modem like modulations.  Talk about an ineffective message.

I have gotten a couple calls on my cell during work hours.  They do leave a message to call Kim at 866-909-0529 and that they are from Portfolio Recovery Associates.  I have no outstanding bills, so why are they calling me?  On my cell phone AND during work hours!  What can you do to make them stop calling?

I finally Googled "800-722-1413" after several formal complaints to the FCC. All I see is other victims of this automated harassment and vendors who want to sell us the I.D. info which we should get for free. Doesn't the FCC have an internet connection?
    The telecommunications industry and the Federal Government are the enablers who allow these selfish, greedy bastards to harass the public with unwanted or automated dialing systems.

This call was scary.  They called and ask for a person I know but have not talked to for years.  However, I did google this person recently.  WTF

There was a message on our machine for my husband's brother in Louisiana to call Eline? at 866-909-0529.  I had a problem with another number like this with someone asking for someone else everyday and had to keep up with the calls and time because I told them I would turn it in and take them to court which you can.  I guess I have to look that up again.  It all stopped after we got on the do not call list, but here we go again.  Very weird though they asked for a family member.  Wonder where they are getting their information from.

The woman on the other end always asks for someone named "Priscilla Allen." I keep telling her over and over that this is not her number and to take me off whatever list they have me on. They never do.

Called both my daughters. Had both home numbers and both cell numbers. Don't know how they got the numbers. Left messages on all phones saying they were trying to reach me. "If this is not "me" then please don't listen any further"....then went on to say they were trying to collect a debt! Illegal to do! I wonder who else they've called? It's also illegal to try and collect a debt when they can't tell me when I made the debt or give me any details of the debt. These people are bottom feeders. They get nasty if you ask them any questions and tell you the burden of proof lies with you!!!!! Then have the gall to tell you to "bone up" on the law!
