Received a call today from this number and no message left.  I saw the above posts, that it was Costco and had something to do with product recalls. I found out it was Costco trying to notify me of a product recall on frozen food suspected in multiple Hepatitis A cases. YIKES!!!  WHY NO MESSAGE?

Yes, Costco wholesale warning me of a Hepatitis alert on a product I did recently buy.  Looks legit.

The call is from costco. They use this number to call you in case you bought a product that has been recalled. Just got one becasue of the Nestle Cookie Dough recall

I got a call from this number today. Could not pick up the call and there was no voice message. After looking at the info online, I called them back and found its a geniune Costco department. It was about a proactive warning about a product recall we bought. I was able to speak to a representative at this number and get the information.

Call was from Costco, notifying me of a product recall of Salami that I may have purchased recently.

Nice of CostCo to warn me about bad food. Since I'm not a CostCo member...

Warning on cheese! Not to recall level yet, but stated to return any from their cheese roadshow as they are not sure which was contaminated.  

All I have to say is that Costco flipping rocks!!! They have the best customer service ever.  Love that store!  For them to go the extra mile and call us personally to warn us of a possible issue is great.  Can you see almost any other store bothering to do that?  I can't.  They'd assume if you didn't hear about it on the news, then its your own fault.

Also got the egg recall call and it did leave a detailed message....I'm 10,000 miles from home and ate all the eggs over a month ago so I guess I'm ok :D

It was costco calling about the recall on the eggs. They sell Hillandale. Ours were not on the list but they said to return them for a full refund anyway. They left a voicemail with all this information.

costco called my cell tue 6/03/2009 4:29pm AKST. Automated message about upgrading my membership...which I stupidly did a month earlier. I'm on the donocall list now, if they had recalls, that's why we have tv news, radio, and newspaper to let us know. yet, they're killing my minutes. Thanks!

Costco recall information. In my case, recall of ground beef/ribs/steak purchased between Apr and May 2009.

It's a Recall on Nestle's Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough.  Got the same call from a Grocery Store chain where we also get it from.
This is not a complaint, I'm glad they did it.

This was a Costco, recall call, left message with info and what to do with the product.  Amazing service from an amazing company.

It was Costco - I had a missed call, but my co-worker got a call from them too - it was about the nestle toll house cookie dough.  I must admit i did it raw several months ago (couldn't wait till they finished baking) but nothinng happened to me. =)
