I got a call from this number last week and a different number today - 877 388 6436, found out it was also the number of a charity in Ohio (not the scammers). What can we do about it? It seems to only be affecting t-mobile customers.

I received a text message from these con-artist and it's the second time time this month. The text message reads as follows:
"onlinebanking@alert.bankofamerica.com/VISA (Card Blocked) Alert. For more information please call 1-888-750-6845"
Advice to all who read this message, Do Not Respond or provide any personal information as these people will stop at nothing to gain access to your money. The sad part is that there are some people who fall victim to these parasites which is why they continue to send out these text messages. If you care about your friends and family, warn them about this scam! My other piece of advice is to call T-Mobile and let them know that you want these text messages to cease immediately. If you've been charged for these messages make them comp you!

The same message from 3509 woke me up this morning, i'm not a BofA customer, otherwise I might've bought it due to being half asleep! The number they wanted me to call back was 1-888-750-6845
I'm with T-mobile as well.
Just found this on another forum and really liked the idea, let's do it!
It's a scam, I opened up my skype and because it's a 1888 number I don't have to pay for it, skype won't show a phone number, and Now I'm just leaving it running ALLLLL day and night. Someone is going to have to pay the bill for the toll free service, and it won't be me. I would suggest everyone do the same, just dial the number, don't enter in any numbers or anything , just let it sit. hahahaha...

I am so dumb. I called the number, put in my info and of course immediately realized what I had done. That's what I get for reading texts half asleep. Drove straight down to B of A and canceled my account and had to open a new one. It is completely a scam 100%

Got the same text. Called the number. Mailbox full. Highly unlikely that the "real" B of A would have an 800 number with a full mailbox.

I am also a T-mobile customer. I do not have an account with Bank of America. This is a scam, as is the zillion texts I get sent with their service, which jacks up my phone bill!

I'm also a T-Mobile customer and got the same message. I have a BoA account but have not used it in months. Do not call.

Got the same message as all of you. I have a BofA account and have signed up for email alerts, but did not remember signing up for texts. I assumed it was a scam and am glad to know it was.
