I just received a message saying I'd won $2.5M today. This scam is STILL going on!  I'm not going to even bother responding to his call;  I didn't answer his call since I didn't recognize the phone number.

I have had the same thing happen in fact he (Alex Alberto, Manager of the Mega Millions) is e-mailing me informaton and the FBI agent name to contact for legitimacy who is named Dean Perri. They claim they are with Readers Digest, Publishers Clearning House and Mega Millions! Putting these other companies names is going to cause a problem with their legitimate sweeps. I was scammed a few months ago and wound up losing money, my business credit card to boot and naturally my credit score went down over 100 points, I am unemployed and the extended unemployment benefits in NJ were discontinued as our lovely Govener told DC that in NJ the unemployment rates were fine so everyone on extended lost benefits and we were told a week prior to them stopping. These benefits we were already approved for but they dont allot the amounts it just flows through like a faucet being turned off. Then the news paper headlines within that week stated the NJ unemployment rate is at an all time high since 1977. That's politics for ya! These lottery people feed on the people in need....God only knows how they get our info, probably from the government! Dont get scammed, I was and they are trying to do it again to me and i may try to call their bluff, keep you all posted.

I just received a call from Alex Alberto and claimed that I had won 2.5 million dollars and that I had to send $759.00 through Western Union as  1% tax cut and that I will be receiving the money back within 24 hours. he even told me when I send the money through Western Union to call him and give him the 10 digit account number. he told me he worked with The Clearing House.

I am a Criminal Investigator from the PA State Police.  I just took an incident with suspects from this number.  IT IS A SCAM!!!  If someone contacts you and says you won money, you should NEVER be required to send them money to claim a prize.  The old adage, if it's too good to be true, it likely as not is.  Be smart and be safe.  Thanks.

Just got a call from "Mr. Peterburg" asking to speak to my mother about her MegaMillions winnings. My mother doesn't play the lotto, never has. Sounded fishy from the start. He gave 1-800-787-3498 as the number to call, or 702-347-3205 as his office number. Riiiiight.

Okay, guys don't know if they're from Walmart, MegaMillions or Publishers Clearing House.  Talked with Mr. "Robert O. Jones" and Alex Alberto or Peter Brown.  Will pay off all of my debt if I send $350 via Western Union to

Man, these guys can't even speak English very well (accent sounds West African, go figure).  "We will illustrate (sic) $100,000 cash to your home and give you $1.5 million."  Which is it?  Pay off my debts or give me the money?  "Remember Mr. Frank, the FBI code of conduct says you must keep this confidential.  We have an FBI agent listening in."
