I just noticed this charge to my account and when I call the number 800-793-2318; it's disconnected. I'm definitely disputing it. I don't even remember ever buying anything from 1800Flowers, but you can bet I never will. How ironic that 1-800-Flowers is an ad for this site.

Thanks to all for the info.

I just found out that I have been being randomly charged 38.99 for over a year.  I have a lot of recurring charges because of my business and I don't check as often as I should but when I saw this one in a recent check, I went back and checked and have been being charged since 2010.  Yes it was 1-800-Flowers.
Did you get your refund?  I have been advised by my bank to report it to consumer fraud!  I AM MAD!!!!

Someone needs to organize a class action lawsuit. They have been scaming me since 2007! That's so much money. Merrill Lynch gave me back my money for 2011. Livewell never got back to me. 1-800-FLOWERS never got back to me. I thought it was a credit card fee and I never really examined that account's debit card section because I usually only use the checking and savings aspects of the account. I'm beyond angry. Merrill canceled my card and gave me a new one and paid me back for 2011 charges so far. I'm still disputing the rest of the charges. What angers me even more is that on top of taking my money without my permission they actually rased the fee without my permission too!

I have found that is a company called LiveWell.  My guess is they are out of Florida just like every other Scam Company in this country.  I never signed up for anything from them but I guess some how they are connected to 1800Flowers.

Nice gift guys.  I by some flowers for the wife then you give my credit card info to a company that charges me for a membership to some place I cannot access and never gave them my card information.

I have stopped the charges from my bank and now I have to wait 7-10 business days to just to use my card again.   Never again 1800Flowers your business model is flawed.  STOP WORKING WITH THIS LIVE WELL COMPANY.

I just called the number and spoke to a livewell rep.
Apparently when I purchased flowers on line at 1800Flowers, there is a tick box for a $20 rebate and if you click on it, they sign you up to their membership program. Very sneaky. Apparently it's in the fineprint somewhere that they'll do this.
Regardless - it is an unethical way to rip people off. Just call them at 800-793-2318 and cancel your subscription.

I just found a transaction pending for membership but i purchased my flowers from 1800flowers.com as a bday gift in Feb.  I called and they demanded by personal info first.  I sort of refused but it was the only way they could look up your stuff since the transaction does not give you a membership number.  So this a discount coupon place charging $11.99 a month.  I must say...they were extremely rude when they found out i wanted to cancel and then they kept offering the membership.  I told them no over and over but they did not want to take that as an answer.  They claimed they would refund me of my charges if they dont then ill have to go thru the headache of closing and reopening an account.

Now begins the challenge to recover my several monthly of $11.99 fraudulent charges.

I bought something thru Plow & Hearth, and apparently somehow got signed up for Live Well, who has been billing me for $11.99 for 5 months.

The only way I could cancel was over the phone with this number from my credit card statement.  And a month after cancelling, I am still getting charges!

I emailed Plow and Hearth and got the following response which was useless, no website listed.  After a 2nd email, they just gave me the phone number.
Supposedly they say we should be getting savings coupons!!!

I did notice the Plow & Hearth is associated with 1 800 flowers in their catalog.  What a scam, there must be a secret box you are supposed to uncheck.

From Plow & Hearth:
We apologize for not responding sooner to your e-mail. As LiveWell is a seperate link with three changes to cancel, we did not sell any information of yours to anyone. To unsubmit please click on the "unsubmit" button.
If you have any other questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us at the address listed below.

I saw the same charges, $11.99 on my credit card.  I called them up, and although she tried to sell me on this program, I was firm with her.  Make sure they don't just cancel any future charges, but the current ones as well.  They said that when you accept some rebate on 1800-Flowers.com that you accept a free 30-day membership and that after the 30-days, you will be charged $11.99.

Man!!!!!!  I hate this kinda stuff! Makes me never want to do business with 1800-Flowers.com again!

Former Employee of 1-800-Flowers (and their subsidiary Plow & Hearth) Speaking.  Yes.  You received these charges because of my old employer.  Everyone who works the phones at these companies knows that it is a scam, and most cannot stand it.  Offering to transfer you so you can get a rebate on your order is a *required* portion of your phone call, and the employee will be punished or terminated if they do not do so.  Livewell is essentially a way for you to get the same coupons that you could get online or through the mail (or by one of those high school band discount cards that your local school sells every year for $20 to raise funds), but will continue to charge you until you cancel.  Management sees that the company makes a pittance off these referrals, and so ignores the obscene numbers of people calling to complain that they are being charged by a 3rd party.  A hint:  if you do order from 1-800-Flowers, make sure that it is delivered by a local florist.  The other items come via UPS and are not refrigerated during their trip.

i have just found another charge on my am ex.  they are closed now so i can't contact them.  this charge is $11.99 a month.  i thought, for some reason, that it was my gym membership.  i want this off my card now. i did not order anything from 1-800- flowers, but i did from cheryl& co.  that was cookies. so they must sell the names and numbers also.  pretty petty.

I called this number and spoke with a great representative. Live Well (Dorinda id 33699 ) Call in with your # that shows on your bank statement its like a 7-9 digit acct # ... and explain your situation and that you want your money back... it is a 100% percent guarantee money back if you are not happy.

I do agree this is a very sneaky attack... but I also believe that we all don't read the fine print ... We got a discount on the flowers and thats how they get you to enroll... I understand my situation because of a death in my boyfriends family so I got the discount didn't read thoroughly.. and I haven't checked my emails and so it was kind of my fault.

But Dorinda with Live Well... I just let her handle the call. Just listen to there spill they have a job to do. If you still dont' want it than ask for your credit back.

**** Reminder **** You do catch more bee's with honey than you do with vinegar!

I just called, they refunded 2 of my payments out of 5 that I made.  I've already written a letter to LIveWell customer support as well as 1800flowers.  I'm forwarding the letters to the MA state (my state) attorney as well as the Better Business Bureau and the Board of Directors.  I doubt I'll see the rest of my money again though.
