i actually got a call from this phone number and after researching the phone number I was a bit hesitant but I decided to answer the call and in fact spoke to this Ted Williams guy...at first I thought it was the man with the "golden voice" but its not. He actually worked with me and answered my questions so Im okay. I did see a small decrease in my monthly bills after making the changes. I think all telemarketers can be a little pushy and I dont like wasting time answering the calls but Teds a pretty cool guy if you take a minute to listen.

A woman called saying she was from VERIZON (but it really wasn't Verizon). She said and that our business phone was up for renewal of contract. She was very nice and professional, and I was completely duped until I decided to check and called the number back and didn't hear the word VERIZON in the customer service  recording. I asked another person what company this was and she said "Verizon renewal services." Then I called our state Verizon number and that representative said there was no such number in their Verizon system.

I encountered the exact same situation as the person above. First a woman called stating that our Verizon contract had expired. I asked her to fax me something in writing and she said no problem. The next day another idiot called reiterating the first idiot's claim. I told him that I asked the first idiot to fax me something in writing; however, she did not. He said that he would send me a document indicating our phone usage, along with a new contract that would maintain the same rates. Of course, I have yet to receive anything because the whole thing is a farse. The last name of the second idiot who called me is Perry, and his extension is 114. There must be some exceedingly incompetant people out there for this pseudo-Verizon companies to have a business.

The same thing just happened to me!  I received a call from Ted Williams with "Verizon" extension 113 offering to renew our business contract.  I asked him to fax me his business card, and he said that he couldn't do that.  I then tolh him that I would call him right back at this number, and he was quick to discourage me.  Persistent me insisted on calling back, and when I did I only heard "You have reached Customer Service", nothing about having reached "Verizon".

I then asked for a fax regarding his offer - what I really wanted to see was the company letterhead.  While I was waiting for his fax, I called Verizon directly, and spoke to three different reps, and no one could confirm that this telephone number was associated with Verizon.  The last rep said that Ted Williams is most likely an agent who tries to renew contracts before customers do it directly with Verizon.

I did receive the fax about two hours later with the Verizon logo on the letterhead.  Looks like they cut and pasted information onto Verizon letterhead.  Also, "Verizon" was not pre-printed on the very top of the page where it shows the telephone number and name from where the fax was sent.

Ted Williams had a lot of information about our company and phone service, so don't let these outside companies convince you that they're legit by giving you a few pieces of proof.  BE SUSPICIOUS!

2 Weeks ago we received a call from 800-801-7192 ext: 114 regarding re-newing my contract with Verizon. They gauranteed that my line charges would be $18.00 per line. 8/25/10 we received a call from Verizon stating that our line charges are up for renewal??? Who are these people that called us from 800-801-7192 ext 114???? I don't believe that they are with Verizon.

We recieved a call on November 1st.  Same thing your line is due for renewal.  Talked with person who answered the phone......all she did was answer their questions and repeatily told them she was not authorized to make changes they would have to call back and talk to me.  The did send over a fax.  I called Verizon the next day and told them I did not authorize any changes.....please be sure my account is not changed.  They made a note in my account and gave me a confirmation number.  Today in the mail I got a welcome to Verizon letter.  Not only did they renew my contract they also added a line of service....all with a 2 year contract.  I contacted Verizon and they were able to cancel the order.  Be care.....they are representatives of Verizon and can change your account.  I filed a complaint with Verizon and will now call this number to file a complaint with them.

After getting several calls from this number by a Ted Williams, we called our Verizon Business office and were told "Never change a plan unless you have called the business' office yourself to initiate it."

If you want to change your service, call Verizon directly. Do not take a sales call.  As for the "extra line for free" deal,  the true Verizon Representative said that it would be for one month.  After that, Mr. "Williams" gets his commission, and you get stuck with the monthly fee for that "free line".
