same as above. how do we stop them? it's been several weeks now

These people called my cell # on Jan 7, 2008 and asked me to call them, I want to take a class action lawsuit aganist them, is there any lawyers out there?

March 12, 4:30pm ANOTHER Brian Dongle Wit (Dung Beetle) on my cell! They just don't stop! They don't have MY name on the reference. They already gave me another person's name and soc. sec. nr. But they won't stop calling ME! I wish I knew HOW they got the nr. and where I can report the breech if confidentiality.

NCO REP: Brian Dongle Wit. TRUE! That's the name from the recorded message. I didn't speak with a "Dongle Wit". But I DID speak with a "Dim Wit" who gave me the personal info.

At least twice a week, on the cell nr. I just got. Same story that's been reported. BUT they gave me the name of the person they're looking for AND HIS SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER! So now I have a name AND a SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER of a stranger! NCO is giving out this information! IDENTITY THEFT? I think so! Where are the Feds<

Received yet another call from this company.  I did not give them my phone number but had them track through the reference number i was given.  Needless to say, the name on the reference was not mine.  They refused to kill the record without my phone number.  Thanks for the "do not call registry" idea!

I also have been getting recording messages on my cell from this #.  I don't answer my cell when this # comes up.  I'm on the no calling list.  I'm thinking of calling my provider and telling them.  I had another # calling my regular house phone all the time, called my provider and complained.  They gave me tips on how to trace the caller.  Luckily, the caller never called back.

Numerous calls from this number on my prepaid cell phone. I call back- no anser mailbox full. I don't think I owe any debt but how the heck would I know anyway? They cannot legally attempt to collect a debt. by incurring a further debt. This has to stop. Anyone have a suggestion? These are evil people!

I have received calls on my cell phone from 800-810-0590 several times. They leave automated messages and when I call back they hang up on me. I do not owe any debts and I am tired of these people wasting my minutes. I have had enough and I will file a lawsuit against them if they do not quit calling.

"DO NOT CALL" doesn't work!!!

We as well received a message from NCO financial and gave us a reference #.  I tried calling the number numerous time and just got  passed around on their automated system.  I actually googled the name of the company because we as well do not have any collections, but thought maybe it may have been one our employees because they did indeed contact our business line.  I left a message to NC Financial and threatened to contact BBB, agencies regarding fraud as well as law enforcement agencies....Here is the number that came up on our caller ID #1-888-831-6994.....This is the # the representative left for us to call back at #1-800-550-9619....TOTAL WASTE OF TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

More of the same.  Twice now I've told them I monitor my credit report and owe no one.  Twice I've told them that I've never heard of the person they are supposedly seeking a Brenda S.  Today, 9/12/08 and 9/8/08, I have been assured by NCO Financial Services that they have removed my phone number from their collection records.

Was called repeatedly through the day. I have a prepaid plan and when I get calls from 1 800 numbers I still get charged .10 cents per minute if I answer them. I got my voice mail turned off so they would quit leaving messages, because I tried to call them back on land line to tell them to stop calling me and they asked my cell number, when I told the woman and then she asked my name, I told her she should know because they are the ones calling me and my name should come up when she typed my number in the computer, she did so and a different name came up. I asked her what this was concerning and who she worked for, she stated she worked for a collection agency that usually handles hospital bill claims and doctor bill claims. So.... if you owe doctor or hospital bills, this is what it's about. Also, don't give your name, just the number, ask them to identify who they are trying to reach before you volunteer any info. If your name is not the one they are trying to reach, tell them they have the wrong number and persona and if they call you again, you will press charges and report them. I guarantee the calls will stop.

I keep getting calls from them about collecting on a debt, none which I owe.

Same here I have been getting these calls for a few months now. I tried calling back but nobody replies and I dont owe any debt.

800-810-0590 about a month ago too. I don't know how they got my number. I do not owe any debt. I called them and asked them who they were and how they got my number and they hung up.

yes, me too. I first received today. I bought my phone just a month ago.
How did they get the #. what is an objective of them ?

There has to be some way to stop them!!! I finally got through to someone by calling  1-800-550-9619 and they told me they were looking for someone else!!!!! They need to be sued!!! how do you get information like that wrong!!!!! This type of thing can really screw up someone's credit and life!

I got a new cell phone and started getting calls from 1 800-810-0590. I only had my phone where I could answer it on the April 2, 2008 call and it was a recorded message from a debt collection agency asking me to call them back. But I owe no debts that have been turned over for collection so I thought it would be easy to get them to stop calling, but when I called back there was no answer. I am going to report the caller to my wireless provider.

Same here ....... just started getting calls 2 weeks ago.  Once a week.  Nothing but a recording and nobody answers if you call back.  Anybody find out what can be done?

They have called me a million times.. They never actually find my number or name in their system but somehow this damn recording keeps calling.

The reference number given is to some bogus name.

same as others..only no one on other end when answered. called company at 800-220-2274 and got transferred 4 times while complaining. when the 4th person got on phone i asked if i was going to be transferred for the 5th time...was told no. so i again complained about them calling my cell, leaving no message or talking when answered. told them they are wasting my minutes and wanted it stopped. when i gave them my cell number they asked if i was someone else! told them no. and didn't know them either. and the calls had better stop. i heard her do some typing then asked if i was going to get another call from them. she informed me that the account was corrected and the number removed from the system.

then i emailed them to express my desire to have them stop calling my cell for someone i wasn't or didn't know.

we'll see if this stops them! if not...i'll be filing a complaint with my attorney general and fcc and bbb and anyone else i can think of!

Got a voice mail on my cell phone.  It is registered to my boss.  People are calling for the person that used to have this phone.  How can I get them to stop without revealing my name.

I got a call from them keep on leaving msg on my cell phone. I don't owe any debt. Please let me know if there is anyway to stop them. They ask me to call them back and put me on hold for a long time finally this lady answered and said she will take my name off the "list" ask me to give her my number again.
so I did. Now I think this is a wrong move.

MCO USED SEVERAL 800-866-877 PHONE NUMBERS, THEY ARE TRYING TO GET PERSONAL INFORMATION SUCH AS SS# AND DOB AND YOUR ADDRESS IF YOUR DUMB ENOUGH. I TALKED TO THEM TODAY AND THEY WOULD NOT VERIFY ANYTHING TO ME SO THEREFORE I WOULD NOT VERIFY ANYTHING TO THEM. THEY COULD NOT GET OFF THE PHONE FAST ENOUGH, SO I CALLED THEM BACK TO SEE WHAT COMPANY NAME THEY GAVE OUT, AND THEY WERE STILL TRYING TO GET INFO. BE CAREFUL AND DON'T GIVE THEM ANYTHING. IF THEY WERE A BILL COLLECTION AGENCY THEY WOULD HAVE YOUR ADDRESS, BUT THEY DON'T! THE NUMBER THEY USED ON ME WAS 800-786-9330.

They are keep calling me to ask me a bill i never know with this number.

this people are scum. period. I owe no debt. they call a few times and leave msgs to call back. never asking for me by name. I have a tracphone, which is relatively new and I think they are phishing for information.

They call multiple time in the am and late after 7 or 8 PM presenting themselves as a debt collection agency.  We dont have any  outstanding bills, so I am unsure why they call.
