Calls from 800-839-5031 started same day as I got my Toyota Prius serviced. 800 directory lists this number as belonging to "Media Direct Marketing Consultants" in Knoxville, Tennessee, and "DME Teleplay Direct Sales" -- presumably the same company. Caller hangs up 5 seconds after I answer, whether I say anything or not.

Calls several times day, and when I pick up there is no answer.

I purchased a new car about a month ago and this number called with only a beep and disconnect right after I answered. I called back the number and it was to schedule my car for its first service and inspection at the dealership I bought it from. No big deal to me.

Sooo if the dealership gives you s****y service you don't want to have the opportunity to complain about it? I prefer phone calls to junk and wasted trees in my mailbox.

I haven't got my car serviced recently and I've received calls from this number. The one time I answered, there was no one on the line.

I have received these calls as well for about a week.  If your phone number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry, you can file a complaint on their website www.donotcall.gov against the number 1-800-839-5031.  If your number is not registered, you can also use the website to place your phone on a list that telemarketers are prohibited from calling (good for 5 years).

I got my Toyota Prius serviced on Sep. 29, 2007 in Orange County, California. Each day since then, I've received calls from 800-839-5031. When I answer, there is no one there. Then the call disconnects after about 5 seconds.

I serviced my 2007 Camry from Libertyville Toyota and started getting calls from this number like 3 times a day. No answer when you pick up !!! Grrrrrrrr

I just called the number back.  They are a customer satisfaction company that the repair facilities contract to ensure customer satisfaction.  

The concept of pissing off customers to ensure customer satisfaction seems self defeating.

I've also am receiving calls from this number.  WTF?  I recently had my truck serviced at a Chevy dealership.

I have been receiving these calls also with no one on the other end. I have not had any vehicles in for repair or anything. So I have no idea why they are calling me. Can we not sue them or something. I am on the do not call list but still getting the calls. I called this number and they had me as someone else. I have had my phone for at least 3 years.

Call today, didn't answer.  Had wife's Focus in Ford Dealer on SAT for yet another safety recall.

I received a call from this number today.  I had my car serviced at a Toyota dealer on Saturday.  They called on Tuesday.  It was a recording asking me for a suvey of the satisfaction of my service.

I've been getting calls - the same story - no answers. I got my car serviced at Hyundai-Mazda dealership in Denver, Colorado just this past week so it is not just BMW. They told me they would remove me within 12-24 hours.

I've been getting these calls once or twice a day since having my car serviced at a FORD dealership - not BMW.

Sarted getting calls from this number after we had a car serviced. No response when we picked up. Today I called the 800 number and was informed they wanted to do a cust. survey for the car place. Told the lady to put us on the do not call list and was informed it could take them a couple of weeks. I imformed her we were on the National Do No Call List and that if we received any more calls I would be reporting them and that they would be liable for a hefty fine. Hopefully this will stop them :-)

I had my Mercedes serviced on a Friday and started getting calls from this number on Monday; seems I get called everyday at the same time from this number...I don't answer.

I have been receiving this call for over 1 week.  When I pick up there is no answer which was very irritating.  When I called back it was a customer satisfaction survey for service work I had had done on my vehicle recently.  Apparently this is done for makers of a variety of vehicles as they identified my phone number first THEN the place of where I brought my vehicle to (which happened to be the dealer as well)

I called them back and they are representing BMW of Encinitas.

So this number is a customer service number that many car dealerships and other companies use.  If you call the number back - someone will pick up and tell you why they were calling.  You can also be put on the do not call list.

I've been getting calls from this number daily ever since I got my car serviced at a bmv dealership. No answer when I pick up. Irritating. I guess it's some kind of satisfaction survey.
