These people (Cardmember Services) are credit card thieves. They have asked me for my credit card number (which is why I think they are credit card thieves), and they emphatically refuse to give me a number where I can call them back. With good reason, because then law enforcement would be able to find them. They also break the law every time they call me because my number is on the Do Not Call list, the call is recorded, and they refuse to identify their real phone number.
If you want to jerk them around and waste their time (but not yours), pretend interest. Tell them you owe upward of $10K, with interest of 14% or more. Then, when they ask for your credit card statement, tell them you have to go find it. Then eat your meal, read the newspaper, or whatever. String them along to keep them on the line. Then end with the bum's rush where you ask for a number where you can call them back. When they refuse to give you one, pretend surprise and ask, "Are you a reputable business? I don't do business with people who don't have addresses or phone numbers. Maybe you are really a thief; if so, never call me again."

The worst thing that we can do when we receive these never ending calls is to answer them or to click on the call and off quickly, that just prompts them to try again later. Secound, when we file a DNC complaint, it's my personal belief that our name then goes to the top of the DNC list (that scammers can buy for a buck) then these unregulated, uncaring callers have a current new caller list to use and instead call us regardless of any law. I've stopped filing complaints, and as such my daily unwanted calls have dropped considerably. The ringer on my phone stays shut off and will stay that way until these calls are no longer a problem. Call ID is my salvation.

I have a phone that can block these kind of calls, but now I have run out of the amount allowed! In two months, I have gotten more than 20 calls!!! I am going down the list and see who hasn't called back in a month.

I asked the caller to put me on their do not call list and he said "absolutely not" and hung up the phone. I added the phone number to my phone book and listed the name as do not answer.

just started out of nowhere. Some has to be selling cell phone records. I not get atleast 5 cals weekly from the same numbers.
| One Solution 2012-02-11 00:47:41 Unknown |
Solve this problem with a SILENT ring tone.
To do this use the record option on your phone. Record SILENCE for 1 second. Save the phone number that you want and assign the name "Do not answer". Assign the silent ring tone to this number.
After that when they call you will not be bothered because you will not hear a ring as it is silent. The only way you know they called is when you look at your phone and see that you missed a call. When you see the missed call was from "Do not answer" you can just laugh.
Does not block the call but otherwise solves the problem.

I just love to talk to these ppl when they call. I tell them that I have @ least 15 credit cards & that they all have balances. Then I try to chat them up a little just for the hell of it while I'm searching for my purse *of course it takes me several minutes 4 it 2 appear* & then I tell them I've got long nails so it's going to take me a few min to get all my credit cards out *they fall for it everytime* and then to I have to get my reading glasses to be able to read the no.'s. I keep giving out false info about my life & finally I start reading off the first card as follows:4567 1234 & they usually hang up b4 I get to the last 4 obviously fake no's. If not, by the time I get to the last 4 I'm laughing my a** off! What a way to take up their time 4 a change. I got a call today from 800 854 7642 & I just left them 2 nice voice mails. Google them & see how many pages of fake names for this no that are listed. They sound more legitimate & pretend that someone else is rerouting their no. This is a LIE. So if ud like to waste some of their time call them up & leave them some messages & that way it might save someone else that they didn't have the time 2 call *someone that may fall for it* their $! I don't really consider telemarketers to be exactly the same thing as these type of SCAMS, but they probably are anyway. But the option below should say SCAM instead.

This company calls me every day or every other day or even sometimes twice a day & when I actually try to talk to them they slam the phone in my face if I try to ask them questions. So I want to file a HUGE complaint on them. Please disconnect their phone lines, I tried to ask them what credit line would they be calling on this morning, she continued on with her spill, so I said 1 more time Ma'am which Credit Card are you calling on (as I know I only have 1 & it's paid off) she finally said your visa, mastercard & discover. She said do you owe over $5, I said No Ma'am I don't. She said do you owe over $4k, I said no Ma'am I don't. She said oh, you don't qualify then, then she just sit there, I said my card is paid off. Then she just slammed the phone down in my face. That's at least the 3rd time I've had that happened. Once it was because all I ask the guy to do was to take me off their list. That really pissed him off because he was determined to get his little speech out-so I just kept over-talking him since he wouldn't listen to me & he was being rude & he kept raising his voice-so I finally just yelled at him & well I tried to yell & as soon as I said take me off, he slammed the phone down on me. So please block or totally take away these people's privileges rights to have a phone.

This number called 4 x saying it was to lower credit card interest. I told them every time we didn't have any cards , on last call I said you have called here 4x & the guy said F-ck you B-tch. then hung up. My husband was Home & heard this since I had speaker on. How do I turn this number in to police for harrasment?

I got two calls from this company today. I called back to see who it was & I got a recording that said this is your final chance to pay your late credit card payments & to get lower interest rates. When this man answered the phone he started asking for my credit card numbers. I said which credit card is later? I said I know I have no late payments. I then said who are you & I'm not giving you my account numbers & he hung up on me & when I called back they won't answer & just let it ring until I get a recording saying the party isn't availabe to call back later. It's obviously a scam & I want it stopped!

I got 2 phone calls from this number today. The first one a girl called Lydia, Number 2044, when I asked which credit card, she hang up. Then, another one, this time a male. When I asked what was this all about and that it was the second time, he told me it was about my immigration status, that it was cancelled, and then put me on hold.

If they get enough complaints, they'll use a different number. By all means, complain. But have no illusions. The spammer will just find another way around it.

I received a call from 1-800-847-2900 at 9:24am on 1/17/2012. The phone call lasted 2 mins and 38 secs, and it was the most upsetting call I have ever received. When I politely requested the male callers supervisor he said he was the supervisor. I then requested to be taken off the call list, after I have requested the same thing over 15 times. The male caller then asked me if I had a dog... To which I replied yes, but why does that matter...
He advised me that he was going to come to my home and RAPE my dog. He used explicitly foul language and explained sexual acts that he was going to perform on my dog. He upset me to the point of vomiting. I am over these people calling. I don't want them to call. I have asked nicely time and time again to remove me from their list, and they have not. I don't know what else to do. If I don't find resolution soon I am going to hire an attorney and file charges of harassment against them.
I have filed with the FTC

When the answering recorder picked up the call the caller had hung up. I got the number from the phone log. I made several attempts calling the number back. The line was either busy or it was interupted after 9 or 10 rings that the caller could not take my call at that time.
I have reported this number several times but they continue to call. What good is the No Call List if these telemarketers are continuing to call. In the past

I ask the person who they connect me with a bunch of questions to keep them connected and then after about 5 minutes i start screaming at them, telling them how studpid they are by calling the warden's private line and that I am in prison. I start begging for them to come over and have sex with me. It gets VERY interesting at that point; ESPECIALLY when there's a GUY on the other end. LOL!

The message they left said,
"press 1 now to find out the terms, conditions, and associated changes before the next billing cycle. Again, this is your final notice as it relates to the financial stimulus. So, press 1 now to take advantage of this today."
What a joke. What stimulus package has a billing cycle? That's a loan isn't it?
It is obviously a scam. It is some immoral S.O.B. that hunts down people that are having financial difficulty, preys on their desperate situations, and adds to their hardship.
There is an especially deep place in Hell for people like this, and I hope they arrive there soon.
