Calls are being sent to my husband's cell and how they got it is illegal and HE has nothing to do with the person they are calling about. They are harassing me, my husband and my daughter-in-law's mother as well!  How can they do this?!!!!  IT BETTER STOP NOW!!!!! REMOVE OUR NUMBERS IMMEDIATELY!!!!!!!!!!!

Sterling Jewelers has a wide range of phone numbers that are used instead of coming up as "blocked" "unknown" etc because most people don't answer those phone calls. When buying jewelry, it's a secured line of credit. Therefor, if the balance and other things meet the state requirements, you are able to be sued on bank/wage/property. There are different programs used to find numbers or even past numbers and people put down wrong numbers for references. No, they should not be fishing for information about yourself. Should simply ask if you know the person that is being looked for. Legally they are allowed to call relatives etc etc. Sterling is very big on laws and while some people slip up and make a mistake, that's simply what it is, a mistake. Some people no, don't follow the rules. Every call is recorded and there is a department where they listen to your calls and you get in trouble basically if they listen to a call where you do something you are not suppose to be doing. So basically, if you're sick of the phone calls and you're the person they are looking for, answer the phone, they are there to help you. It's not a scam, and you would be able to tell if it's a scam. They read a script after any payment, they don't give out any of your personal information until you verify it yourself. If you don't know the person they are looking for, simply answer the phone and tell them so. No, the number might not be taken out right away because it needs to be verified. Specially if they talked to the person a week ago on the same number. The best thing, people need to start paying their bills or no one would be stuck in this situation. How do I know all this? I was a collector for the company.

A lady from Sterling Jewlers called from 305-682-8709 saying to call 800-877-7350 about a urgent business matter.
I have no clue who they are. \Called back and got voice mail saying closed, after business hours????????

They called my job.

Bill from Kay Jewelers called asking for me and then he mentioned my brothers name and said he couldn't give out that much info, he wanted to make sure I wasn't the wife or girlfriend as if he didn't want to spoil a surprise or something. Then he asked me my relation to him.  Bill said that they had been trying to get in touch with my brother and mentioned the last know address he had.  I didn't confirm.  Then he tells me he as our mothers number and that she was next on the list to contact. I told him I would take his number and give it to my brother if I was able to contact him. Bill told me that my brother would be very happy when he talked to him.   I hung up called the number he gave me and asked the person who answered what was this number to.  She said it was Sterling Jewelers and they are the main company for many jewelry companies.  So I don't know if it is a scam, collections or whatever.  

Received call on my cell from 404-222-9006 Atlanta, GA  from Jarrod's Jewelry asking for my husband/and or son.  Did not give her info and took her name and number for a call back at 1-800-877-7350 to Debbie @ Ext 1828

Just got a called from Tayler phone # 559 587 2516 asking for a family member. Wanted her phone number but didn't do it. So he left his phone number to call him 1800 877-7350. Pretty Weird

collections call from Jared The Galleria Of Jewelry.  apparently Sterling & Kay Jewelers use the same collections harassment service.  They also call from dozens of other numbers from around the country.

I received a voice mail from a "Marissa with JB Robinson Jewelers" saying "this message is for [said my full name].  Ms. [___], I need to speak with you.  Please return the call when you get this message. I will be available in my office until 8pm.  Call 1-800-877-7350 ext 28.  When returning the call, please ask for Marissa"  The call came from (559) 587-2516  

Here's the funny thing - she sounded kinda short... and snotty... like a bill collector would sound.  What the heck?  Obviously not calling her back.

you should still pay your bill... matter of fact, if you were they wouldnt be calling you at all... Dont spend money you dont have.

Keeps calling our home asking for someone who doesn't live there, digs for personal information & when we refuse to supply this info, they get very nasty like we have done something wrong. If these people are going to call your home, asking for people who you don't know or do not live at your address, they should be more polite about the constant pestering of innocent people who have nothing to do with who they are looking for. This is outragious & they call at all hours hoping that maybe by magic this person who you have no idea is will appear.

We got one today for the first time, so I immediately googled it.  Sounds like a scam, maybe a 'phishing' scam, where they are 'fishing' for information to scam your identity.
Said they were 'robin' (a man) from Kay Jewelers looking for a john amos??  Except that we've never heard of a john amos!!  That's what alerted me to the fact that this has to be a scam.  Any way that they can get you to call back and then the "phishing" begins!
I say, just never call them back, eventually they'll give up (may take years though).  It's like emails: once you reply to a scam email (by requesting to unsubscribe), that alerts them that they have a "live one", and you'll gt even MORE emails.

So, when you called Kay jewelers directly, were they helpful? What did they suggest to get these people to stop calling you?  Did the calls stop, or did they continue.  Because if calling them does nothing, then I think we're better off just ignoring them.  Once you call, and they are a scam outfit, then you go on their list of "live ones", and you probably never get rid of them calling!

I got a similar call for the first time from "kay jewelers", and immediately looked it up to see if this was a scam, because the man they were asking for "john amos" is a name we've never heard of, so that's what made me think this was a scam!  Or they're phishing for information.  Like, if you call them to tell them they have the wrong number, then they start asking alot of personal questions (your name, address, number, etc.) under the guise that they are verifying something, and promise "they'll take your number off the list", but they're lying and the info they've just gotten from you about yourself, they then use it on you and start coming after you.  I've read about this happening, so I am apprehensive to even call them and tell them we never heard of this person they're looking for, because I'm thinking they ALREADY know that.  This is just a scam to phish for information.

Collections for Kay Jewlers, the rep that called me was frustrating and insisting that I pay immediately.  He transferred me to his supervisor who was extremely helpful. She dropped my payment by almost half and told me as soon as I make that payment my account would be out of collections.  On Monday I'll go into the store to pay my lower monthly payment and we'll see what happens.

Again... we'll see.

exact same "woman" called my cell talking about my boyfriend and i was his reference. asking him to call back tomorrow. sounded like a man to me. ridiculously creepy.

Just tell the person you KNOW it is a scam...and hang up!

Just call them back and they will stop callling you. It cracks me up that you complain they call 40 times a day, I'm sure they "try" 40 times a day, answer and talk to them and they will stop. You did leave their store with the "promise" to pay them back, now apparently you don't have the money to follow through, yet you still have their jewelry and want to complain that they call, lol.

Down right stalkers. Its Sterling Jewelers,(Kay's, Jared, JBR) they call about 40 times a week. I owe like 200 bucks, its ridiculous, i will be sending a certified cease and desist letter, I may be past due but I do not deserve to be harassed.

Got a call for someone I never heard of, saying it was very important to hear back THAT DAY; I heard it as "K-JORS."

Couldn't understand the name but said they were from Corporate office Kay Jewelers

Someone call from a 205 area code but leaves this as a contact number; however the message is intentionally garbled when the person gives his name and the company name.

I got a call for somebody with the last name of Fatima...and I don't know anyone with that name from a Connie Fatima at the corporate office of Marks and Morgan Jewelers saying it was very important to call back today. I don't know that person and don't do business with Marks and Morgan and have had my phone number for a very long time. Don't know what it said on caller ID, I can't find anything close to the number she gave to call back which was 800-877-7350.

My 13 y.o. son got an urgent call on his cell from "Stacy" calling for some guy we never heard of.  Stacy said she was from Corp. Ofc at "Shaws" Jewelers, not Kay Jewelers as mentioned in other complaints!  When I called to tell them to get my son's # off the record of that guy we never heard of, the man I spoke with then asked what our account # was!  I said we have no account with you... we just want our # off this guy's account!!

This is the Corporate offices of Jared the Galleria of Jewelers or at least their financing company who handles their lines of credit. They will call from an unknown # and tell you to call the 800# then 20 minutes later the employees call from various cell phone #s as well.

No corporate company will have people call back on their cell phones.  Can you say scam.  I called the number and if they were corporate HQ they would say that when they answer not some girl on her cel phone.  Come on how smart are you all.
