FYI:  -received a phone-message from a nefarious Collection-agency 'NES' Rep. alleging his name to be Paul'Reeves and that i need to call him back at 800/882-9325 (x-1167).  Ha, these guys work for the criminal B-of-A Bank'sters, that are part of the jewZionist-mafia operation commonly known under the phony name (-since 1913 when they hyjacked our usTreasury and installed their illegal Commie-scumm IRS-henchmen) FederalReserve Banking-system.  These criminals created the 1929-Depression, and are now repeating their same scheme of shaking-down the usa-public for their hear-earned money.  These Bank'sters all need to be 'rounded-up and machine-gunned', --so as to thereby enable honest hard working citizens to survive!  In the meanwhile, get out of the habit of answering your phone, --screen all of your calls via ans.machine as to thereby avoid wasting your time talking to these slick-talking intimidating-shakedown criminals!   The Bank'sters print their phoney FederalReserve-NOTES (-not 'real-money based upon Gold' as required according to our usConstitution) out of thin-air, and then they grab a 1,000% wind-fall based upon your signature & your credit; --known as illegal criminal-based fractional-banking....

I got a call from a Mr. Robert Mason today at my work # and then got a co-worker of mine and told her it was a Legal Matter!!!!

If they threaten you and say they are sending your account to the 'LEGAL DEPARTMENT' its a LIE! Imagine how much money they'd have to spend taking everyone to court that they are trying to collect money from... HA! Don't trust them. Try and work something out with the original creditor that you owe money too. Question them about their LEGAL process and they will stutor trying to lie!

Glad I googled and saw this site.  Just got a call from "Pauline" who left a message saying it was imperative that she speak to either me or my husband today no later.  First of all, only been married 3 weeks and we don't have any accounts together yet.  These people are ferocious!  At least now I know, she won't be getting a call back.  Had a message last week from the same number from a guy- don't remember his name- saying he was calling to "reprimand" me and that if I didn't call back I would be seriously reprimanded.  Unbelievable!!!

I too, just received a phone call from this company yesterday at my place of employment, the obnoxious sounding woman on the other end used the SAME SCRIPT all the other scam phone calls I've recieved since January of this year, the only difference is she was "American" sounding not "Middle Eastern" sounding.  Just like all the other scams, she had my social security number, my address and my husband's name, she too also made threats of taking legal action if I didn't pay them $2400 for some sort of check fraud with National City Bank.  The real deal is, 3 years ago I recieved 2 "Fraudulent" checks in the mail in which I turned over to National City Bank and filled out an Affidavit of Fraudulant activity form with them because someone had been taking $85.00 dollars per week for 11 weeks out of my account there, (yes I was nieve then, I never really looked at my account, National City was the ones who contacted me when a payment I had set up with my utility company didn't go thrru), 11 weeks at $85 per week, you do the math....anyhow, I told them I had no idea who that was and they advised I fill out the affidavit, which was also the same week I recieved 2 "Real Looking" checks from some company stating I had won the lotto.  I never cashed them, I only turned them into the bank as suspicious.  I have since closed that account and moved to another bank, however, all of my personal information was attached to that account, I suspect that's how this National Enterprise Systems, SCAM company hacked into my personal information.  These people are trying so hard to get smarter by scamming, the sad thing is, if I ever receive a legitamate phone call, I will think they too are a fraud.  I'm grateful for this website and the "whocallsme.com" website as well as the FTC.gov website to file complaints against these people.

Someone named or calling themselves "Van" called my home phone and left a message. It was a wrong number and "Van" made threats to this person. Isn't that illegal? I thought these companies were just suppose to stick to the facts, by law.

I have made a digital recording of this message, with person that was suppose to receive the message digitally removed (bad luck dudes to happen across someone in the recording industry), and copies are being forwarded this week to all appropriate agencies (and it's a long list, federal and states).

If you read this on behalf of National Enterprise Systems or "Van" - bad luck dude(s). Or you may want to give ole Van a heads up if you're in the industry at 800-882-9325 x 1679. I betting there is no one really named "Van" at the NES.

I got a call from a Mr. Robert Mason today screaming over me to talk, lol. Going on and on about how I owe a debt from Sallie Mae and I can't file for Bankruptcy and how 'serious' this was. Little did this idiot know Sallie Mae applied my payment to the wrong loan, so they were sorting out taking my account out of collections. This meant I could have fun with this idiot! Play at his own game.. so I called HIM back. and harassed HIM! I kept calling..and calling...LOL Fun times.

If they threaten you and say they are sending your account to the 'LEGAL DEPARTMENT' its a LIE! I got a call from this number today and I checked google for it.  Thank you all, of you!  My husband had a real estate business and he opened credit cards in my name for down payment for houses.  He ran up 91.000.00 worth a credit in my name then ran off with a woman 23 years younger than me.  I know it is my fault for letting him do it but I can't pay these bills.  They get to start your bad credit from the day they "talk" to you.  If I get a call two years from now and I answer my "bad credit" is 7 years from that day.  Do not ever answer a call considering your bad credit.  If you do it will take longer to get it off the credit bureau's report.

Legit collectors per section 809 of the FDCPA http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/credit/cre27.pdf *must* tell you at initial contact, or send you paperwork within 5 days of initial contact, the following:
1. $amount of debt,
2. name of the current creditor (which may differ from the original creditor who might have sold your debt),
3. a statement that that debt will be assumed to be valid unless you dispute in writing within 30 days,
4. a statement that that if you do dispute in writing within 30 days, the collector must mail you written verification of the debt,
5. a statement that if you ask the collector in writing within 30 days, the collector must send you the name and address of the original creditor if it's different from the current creditor.
If you don't get the 5 disclosures, orally or in writing (you do not have to ask for it, the FDCPA requires it), treat the collector like you would any SCAMMER. Scammers are using bought/hacked loan application data to extort payments for fictitious debts from victims and victims' families and friends.
The FBI warns about payday loan extortion scams here http://www.fbi.gov/news/pressrel/press-releases/paydayloanscam_120710
The BBB has issued several alerts on this scam, just google "bbb.org alert phony debt collector"
Report to the Internet Crime Complaint Center http://www.ic3.gov/complaint/default.aspx , the Federal Communications Commission http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm , the Federal Trade Commission https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/ and your state AG, as appropriate.

I just received a call from them too.  They left it on a PUBLIC answering system at my work.   I do have a debt to BOA, but everything is caught up with them and on time.    Are these people related to RIS?  They had called me several years ago at a different job and tried to scam me on a JP morgan chase credit card from 1993 for my husband.  Sad part is, they scare people and people give them the information over the phone and they wipe out bank accounts.  Especially the naive and older people that don't know any better.  Not sure if related, but it sure sounds like them.  (Don't forget about all the places recently that have been hacked in the past few months. )  This is how they use the information they received.

I got a letter last week saying I owed Bank of America almost 7k. Per their fine print in the letter I sent a letter back to them asking for details of this debt since I have not been with BofA for over 7 years and there is no outstanding debt to that account that was closed due to others fraud on it.

Low and behold, 4 days later I get a call at work from them (on a Saturday; my house # isn't listed and on the Do Not Call registry) - not knowing who it was, I Googled and found this stream of notes about NES from Ohio.

Maybe when I get home today they will have documentation of this bebt.  Legal action is to follow if this goes futher as the only way to get my work # was to Google me and that's the only phone you will find for me.

Thanks to sites like this I know who is calling. I refuse to deal with my personal matters at work. My work has an employee locator so I am sure they got my number that way. I get about 30 robo calls a day from multiple "persons" who are from NES. I just got to say they are relentless but I am more so.

Looks like Danita's at it again in December. The number she called from was a 951 area code, when I reverse-searched the number, it was an unpublished cell phone from Moreno Valley. The number she told me to call back was 800-882-9325 x1367. I verified with my bank that there have been no accounts opened or charged off that are linked with my social security number, so as far as I'm concerned, we're done.

Called me at work trying to collect a debt.  Requested my credit card information along with sec # as well as my checking account number.  TOld them that I would not provide them with that information.  After that a manager called back and was very rude and threatened me with a law suit.  I told him that it was illegal for them to call me at work and that I was not going to give out my personal information to a company I am not familar with.  01-07-09

I got a call from these people a few months ago.  I set up two last day of the month payments of $387.65.  They took one payment out of my account all right.  The second one they tried to say came back to them as NSF (insufficient funds)!  I work at a bank so I was looking at my account when they told me this.  I told them that was impossible.  I had just gotten paid that day & there was over $600.00 in my account.  Then the lady said that they must have keyed in a number wrong.  Now they are trying to make me pay $395.85 ($8.20 more than they said the 1st time).  I agreed.  Then I got to thinking about it & have since set up a Stop Payment.
