Make a game out of it - when they call just start talking like a fool babbling on about nothing - after a few times of that they will remove your number or just answer the phone as a business phone would be answered such as Liberty Travel agency etc etc then they will remove your number - Good Luck

keep getting calls from this number. they won't stop.I am on the do not call list. also have caller ID. no name is listed.

I've been receiving these calls, too. Three this morning. However, after seeing that it was Highlights Magazine through these posts, I called and politely asked that my number be removed from their call list. The CSR was friendly and polite. She said she submitted to have my number removed, and it could take up to 30 days to get it out of their system.  The call was painless and hopefully, worth the effort.

I get at least 3 calls a day from highlights, i tell them i am not interested in other services. I didnt even subscribe to the magazines, my mother in law did for my children as a christmas present. Our number is on the do not call list, i file a complaint everytime they call.

They call us all the time during dinner time.  We just hate it!!!!

Well said and very good point.  We all (myself included) tend to get angry over these types of calls.  We just need to remember that these are people that are working hard to make a dollar and we need to show them respect.  If we don't want to be on the call list, we simply need to explain.  Thanks for reminding me.

It's called a "Block Caller" Function. It works wonders!!!! Once you block the number they receive a message that the number no longer receives calls and the computer will usually remove your number. Then it's only a matter of a few years before it comes back around to your number in the autodialer series or you re-subscribe to the magazine & if you do, tell them "If you dont stop constantly calling me all the time, I will not be doing business with your company and re-subscribing to your BS systems"..... Viola!! Problem solved either way!!!

I had this person call during the night time waking up a baby.  Well I answered because I am always getting calls from them and I wanted to know who was calling and if I did not know who they were to ask them to stop calling.  I am tired of multiple calls from this phone number.  I answered and she was asking me a question if this was so so.  As I was attempting to answer her she said I will call back at another time and hung up.

For real, because you heard a baby cry (who you woke up with your late night phone call) you hang up as I was answering you.  You think I'll do business with you people.  I loved Highlights as a child but the company had better get some better phone operators who call at a reasonable time and who do not hang up after they disturbed my household.  

Another thing multiple calls a day and so late at night is NOT acceptable.  I may do business with your company in the future but they had better be some better communication from your company or you can kiss it goodbye.

I just called their 800 number that was on my caller ID, and told them to put us on their do not call list. The rep was very nice, and said she would forward it to their telemarketing department. Hopefully this will work.

Yes, they have called me three times already today.  First time they did not leave a message on my answering machine.  THEN they called TWO more times within an hour or so and just let the phone ring one time!  That IS harrassment.

They have been calling for the past every day leaving blank voicemails.  Since requesting to put me on their "do not call" list hasn't worked for others, I am putting them on my blocked list.

I looked at my call logs and this number shows up as Highlight Child.  I wonder if it has to do with the Highlights magazine that I subscribed to for my child.  I don't understand why they keep calling just to hang up.

They keep calling nd leaving no message. I read above that it is Highlight magazine. I order years ago for my grandkids but they are older and aren't interested it it any longer. How do I get them to STOP calling. We have talk to them and told them we aren't interest but they keep calling!

Hey, just because I may have ordered Highlights magazine, doesn't mean I want these guys calling my house daily and trying to sell me other things.

CALLS WITH NO MESSAGE LEFT ON MACHINE. I AM ALSO ON THE NO CALL LIST ALREADY....HAVE BEEN FOR YEARS.  CALLER I.D. SAYS 800 SERVICE.

After weeks of these annoying calls, I just called their customer service number.  After several minutes the numbnuts finally admitted it was there telemarketing department.  I was put on their do not call list (I am on the federal do not call list).  Guess they don't have to abid by the federal do not call list.  Told them if they call me again I'll sue.  The guy said "Is that a threat?"  My response "You betcha."  

What idiots!  Stop calling me and making me run for the phone just to hang up on me.
