Calls several times a day and night!

Highlights....if you think that calling people like that will get you more sales you are wrong...I just called and told them if I get one more call..I will cancel..and then I will block you from my phone so I NEVER see you call again....that does not win customers.

Looked up caller as surmised highlands child was the highlights mag calling.  Took advise and opted out per the information another complaint ant had posted.  Hopefully it will work.  Found out wife had subscribed to a mag. For the grandchildren.  We won do that again ever.  I hate telemarketers who annoy us to death.  Will keep a shrill whistle handy next time it happens.  Yes they have a job to do but when we say don't call...DONT CALL.  Best have your ears ready for a whistle!

Called me 20 times today!

Got 16 calls from this number in less than 5 hours! This telemarketer is totally out of control.

Highlights has highly unscrupulous sales tactics. They call using varying phone numbers to avoid being blocked. They call multiple times in one sitting and frequently. We got two simultaneous gift subscriptions to Highlights and tried to resolve into one subscription, which they flatly refused to do. Consequently, we got double copies for months. Now, we get daily calls from these cheats. It'll be over my cold dead body when they get a dime out of me!

Actually, the law states you can call someone who has done previous business with you *until* they ask you to stop calling.  If you have been asked to stop, you are required by law to stop.  I have run Telefund programs for private, higher education institutions for seven years.  501c3 organizations are exempt from the do not call list (regardless of whether or not a person has done business with them) but are still required to stop calling when someone requests to be taken off the list.
If you don't follow this, you as an employee can be fired, and your company can be fined.  I did ask tone taken off the list today, and the lady I spoke with was VERY nice about it and let me know the system generates numbers a few days in advance.  There is a possibility of another call for a few days, but then they *should* stop.  We'll see.

They call every night and when in answer the call, they disconnect. I am in the do not call list, but that doesn't  do any good.

Calls several times a week.  Never leaves a message.  Apparently a subscription to Highlights for Children that we purchased some time ago for a young relative triggers this calling.

I have subscribed to Highlights since my granddaughter was about a year old. She is soon to be 7. However, this last Christmas was the last time! I'm tired of the calls, 4x in 2 days. Thank God I have a phone that blocks 250 numbers!

Caller has called twice and I am on the do not call list

They keep calling.

I receive calls from this number at least twice a day.  The phone stops ringing after 3-4 rings.  If I answer, there is no response.

After looking the number up on-line, I found it was Highlights Magazine.

I called customer service at 800-255-9517 and complained.  I was assured that my number was being placed on their do not call list and the calls should stop within 2 days.

I am on the DNC list and have received numerous calls from this phone number.  I recently ordered a magazine because a friend's son's school was selling mags to receive money for a sport.  After reading other's messages, this is what is prompting the phone calls to ask me to buy more mags. They do not leave a message, and I don't answer the phone unless I know who is calling.  It's been going on for over a month now, so I hope they stop calling!

STOP CALLING ME!!!!!! I called them back and told them to STOP CALLING ME and the guy said that he would remove my number for their list. A few days later I get ANOTHER CALL so I call them back (they are calling during my work hours when I can't answer the phone) and had the lady remove me from their call list AGAIN and she told me it could take up to 30 days to remove me ... they called AGAIN Today!!

STOP HARASSING ME!!!!

Nusance calls and hang ups and when I called back a denial of who he was and why he called.
He lied? and said it was his cell.

Bought highlights for my niece, big mistake, telemarketing and junk mail galore

Have had this subscription for my grandkids for many years. May not renew if they keep calling me. Always renew by mail or on-line.

Same to you get a REAL job only people who can not get a real job call and disrespect who is on the other end! If you had any morals you would not work for a company that CANNOT take NO for an answer!

Omg realze now.  Someone got the mag for my 2yr.  Ignored it   billing and ph calls.  Sent back DO NOT waNT fiVE TIMES.  DID NOT KNOW WHO THE DAM CALLS WERE FROM    come on , no one has a plan for payback?  Start posting on fb,twitter and blogs and call police and atty general  called about bills and they stopped bills,  the calls continue but now we know who to punish    DO IT

I had to go to their website and 'search' for the section on to unsubscribe from various forms of contact, phone calls being one of them.

I forgot to say up there in my other post that when I started answering I asked who it was and they told me some mag company from Utah or something, and there are MANY more! The companies that call are NOT HIGHLIGHTS Mag. themselves- but another Magazine distribution Center trying to get subscriptions. Just like I used to get calls from Cooking Light all the time until I found out it WAS NOT Cooking Light but another company who had them on their lists. It is easier to just answer the call and pick them off one at a time. Its annoying but it works. Now, I just don't even answer if I see unavailable. You KNOW its a sales call!

You can also use the FORM on https://www.highlights.com/contact-us    as it worked for me very well. A lady told me that it is NOT them who is doing the calling at those random numbers but Mag. Subscrition companies trying to bump up business by using telemarketers and their number gets passed around just as any other business does. Businesses (especially young businesses) pay a huge sum for certified "lists" of contact numbers but if you let the company know who you are and that you want to be taken OFF they will do it. Unfortunately, I found the only way to stop them is to actually answer the call and the minute they start talking say in a VERY pleasant voice- "Hi, Can you please put me on your DO NOT CALL list?" They say in a subdued voice-ok... and I say "Thank you very much! Have a good day! Good bye..." and hang up. I went for years not answering, but now that I DO most of the calling has stopped! It just works better. I have picked tjem off one caller at a time! Lol.

I have NEVER had a sub to Highlights magazine and never will, but I get a call from this number at least once a day. I am also on the Do Not Call List!
