I recvd a call from this certain number on Wednesday February 8th, 2012 at 242pm.

I thought it was a friend calling and so, I answered and the lady on the other end asked me if I was "Erica" and I said "Yes".

Then the lady on the other end said that I had won "something" and then I said "OK".

Then the lady asked me if I had any credit cards and I said "NO".

Then she said "Bye" and hung up.

Usually "my rule of thumb" is WHENEVER I get a call on my cell from a number that I do NOT even know, I NEVER, EVER answer, only because, you just NEVER EVER KNOW who is on the other end and WHAT they are even going to say to you about WHATEVER!!

Even if I had any credit cards, I would NEVER EVER even give out any of my credit card numbers to any stranger on the phone, that is just common sense here!!

This number has called me once a day for the last month before that it was just randomly here and there its getting a bit ridiculas but one rule i have always lived by is if you didnt apply for anything (which I havent) and a 1800 or 888 number calls do not answer nine times out of ten its a scam especially if they do not leave a message if it was important and someone did need to get ahold of you they would leave a message.
just getting really annoyed with them calling.

I keep getting calls from this number for the past few days and when I answered a few times they wouldn't say anything, so I'd hang up. After that they keep calling me, and calling me. In the early morning and evening I have get phone calls (on my cell phone), and I'm very pissed off and annoyed. Not to mention i also don't have caller ID, so that's when I decided to forward my call to my house phone and find out what the number was. They still won't stop!

i been get that call many times and my sister try to answer for me as i am deaf but no answers.. it been happens to me since like two months now. i am so mad and annoy!

I received a call from them and she told that I won a watch and she asked if I have any credit I said yes and now I dont know what to do because I tried to call them but it is busy signal.

I got a call from this number asking me a whole bunch a stuff about my BOYFRIEND.. and this is to MY phone..
I'm kind of confused... my boyfriend and i don't live together or share a phone.. so, i've gone to the point to have 1 800 numbers blocked from calling me but then i got another call again today.. and now im going to change my phone number..
should i be worried?
oh and i asked them to take my cell number of there call list.
same with my boyfriends name..

Called and no message.... They called my business line so I checked out the web for the their number.... Great site this is. Now I can block the number...

Twice now this number has contacted me. The multipul post that i have read majes me want to in form every signle 3 letter organization, FBI, CIA, NSA, ATF, DEA, just cover all of tge bases so that what ever this number is involved in they'll think twice of contacting anyone else.

Yeah ! i got the exact same phone call ! they said they were from publishers headquarters in Montreal. Then they told me, my full name, and my current address. I asked them how i got " chosen " and they said its for debit or mastercard users; I dont have a mastercard & my address on my debit is not my current one, its my grandmothers address. They also said something about my shipping with be about $19 something. So i asked my boyfriend about it, and he told me to hangup, so I did. And within the 5 minutes after I hung up, they called me back 3 times and of course I didnt answer. Its probably scammers, cause I googled "PUBLISHER HEADQUARTERS" ( which is what the girl Jackie said) and there was no actual website or anything legally documented about this place, so dont fall for it lol

I've had this number call me 5 times in the last 5 hours no one answers and no message is left when i apparently miss the call cause they just hangup when i answered two times

Persistant!!! I got a new credit card 2 weeks ago.. funny how all the sudden im winning all these sweepstakes.lol this number is nothin but a scam!!!!!

they called me twice today but didn't answer it .called tv station and told them about the scam and the number.next time i will let the police know about it,beware it is a scam

I keep getting calls from that number to, they call again i will find them and cave their f****ng head in.

They haved called me three times a day for the last two days...noone is ever there!!! Nothing in life is free...You will never win something you didnt sign up for!! Thanks

I got a call from 800-943-1455 said they were from PUBLISHER'S HEADQUARTERS i thought they were publisher's clearinghouse... so that's why i stayed on the line.

They're trying to give you a free gift, diamond watch for a female, and in exchange for you to buy their magazines like READER'S DIGEST, and a fashion magazine, and about four more various magazines.... roughly twenty dollars she said.

Now if I had one of those cards you can just buy at 7/11 then I would check it out, but as they want your credit card number...

I was then connected to the supervisor, and interrupted her sales speel to question her about how they put the order through but when i discovered that they don't direct bill, I said I wasn't interested as I don't give out credit card numbers over the phone to strangers, or to unknown businesses.

I was informed it was just a one-time-transaction, then I can chose how or what method to pay.

ummmm... no thanks.  Direct Bill, or too bad...  sorry.

i was called by 800-943-1455 and answered it, a woman said that you won sweepstakes like diamonds, something... i couldn't really catch what she said. and she asked me if i have credit cards. i felt strange so just told her that i don't need it, then hangup.

i was called by 1-800-943-1455 5 times in the last 2 days but i havent answered it .they dont leave a message and when i call back its busy. does anyone no who this is please reply thanks

I was called from this number twice, once, well the first time I ended up speaking with them. The lady with a weird accent was telling me that I have won a sweepstates lottery or something. This is mostly for US Residents, but I live in Canada.

They will ask you if you have any of the following credit cards:

Visa
MasterCard,
American Express

She sounded desperate to an extent, when I replied I have do not have a visa, nor mastercard nor Amex, just wanted their reactions on this. She is like do you have a Bank Card like an ATM Bank Card that would have the logo of a VISA? I felt like telling her, what are you on CRACKS? So I basically rejected her offer.

This offer is nothing but a SCAM stay away from it. What happens is that she collects your information and states that you WON a 2 WEEKS PAID TRIP to Puerto Rico or Costa Rica for 2 people and when you give your details knowing that you are going to fly there for free and stay there for free comes out not to be the case. They will give you a weird location that you will have to fly from, it will not be your home of residence or city in which you reside but it will be thousands of miles away so that you will have to purchae another ticket to get there which you will have to pay for it from your own pocket.

Secondly, there is nothing for FREE. Put that in your head, there is nothing for FREE and so when someone comes to say that ohh you won a trip for 2 for 2 weeks to bla bla bla, that is nothing but a scam.

I have requested that I be put on their DO NOT CALL LIST but somehow today January 26, 2012 at approximately 11:39 EST I was called again but I never answered and it wont to VOICE MAIL but no message was left as described by others here.

The company is based somehwere out of California I think, it has something to do with Somona Valley, California because the lady was saying something about Somona Valley and when I searched the number I was given direction to a Somona Valley Community Health Centre? Could it be that this hospital is conducting a "sweetspates"???

I do not know what this is but whatever it is, PEOPLE SHOULD STAY AWAY FROM IT they have the scars of all the SCAMS written all over them.
