Received several calls from this number. I answered this morning and there was dead air, so I called it back immediately. I got a guy on the phone and asked who they were, he said Identiguard. I asked for his name but it was refused. I then advised him I was on the State of Missouri NO CALL list and asked to be removed. He obliged and I hung up. Not more than 5 minutes later I received another call. Again, dead air. I called back again and got the same guy. I told him I had just called and wanted it stopped immediately. He said "Well sir you just called us about this" I told him I didn't care when I had called, and that once should be enough. I advised him I was reporting to the State and all he said was "whatever" and hung up.

Hey everyone, and anyone checking this page...

Here is what you all need to report this to the OWNER of the toll free that is calling us all. Keep in mind that the OWNER which is RNK communications is not the same company that is calling and attempting identity theft... -But, they are NOT doing a THING to stop it. I've called them for about a month now asking for updates and all I've received is the same story about how they can't prove the company the lease this toll free to is doing what I am saying.

So, please call and report all your experiences to the following customer service number... here are the details:

the toll free calling and harassing people for checking information: 8009532092.
The "resporg" for the toll free that is attempting to steal information is RJT01. You can tell them you got this from your cellular or home phone provider (att, whoever.) Then tell them you looked up that resporg id on google and got their information.

Company name: RNK Telecommunications.
Website: http://www.rnktel.com/
RNK customer service number 8773232486
Angelica is the weekend manager at the above toll free to RNK customer service.
The day shift manager is named Eddie and I've found you can call him directly at 7816136253.

PLEASE report all experiences to these guys and, if you care enough, report RNK to the better business bureau for failure to follow up on reports of fraud using their services.

You see, RNK ownes the toll free and handles traffic for the company who uses that toll free to rip people off.

-At the very least the identiguard service is using poor business practices and lieing about fraud to get you to buy their services.

Just recieved a call from representative of indentiguard proservices requesting similiar information as above mentioned individual.  I did not provide this individual(Mike Fisher) with any detail because my warning sign informed me otherwise. Having checked snopes.com and dogpile it has been discovered that ISP is a bogus organization. Therefore, I will be contacting my bank to inform them of potential identify theft for future ramification of stole identity

They just called me today saying that somebody had charged $395 to my account and they were trying to block the charge so they needed my checking account number. I told them that they sound like a scam and told them to mail me something and he said he would call back if he could.

I just received a call from 800-953-2092. Identity Protection Services. I didn't catch the name of the fellow on the line. He wanted to "verify my information" and when I told him I wasn't buying anything and didn't understand, he started talking about how he wasn't selling and I needed him, and how I was a victim of fraud or identity theft, and I interrupted and started to tell him I didn't understand why a victim of fraud or identity theft would give a total stranger any information over the telephone but he hung up on me. Good riddance. What I found disturbing is that I just placed a fraud alert on my credit last night. Was this a coincidence? Or are they getting our information from the credit bureau?

I just got a similar call. They stated they are with Identiguard and that "most people don't even know about us! -But we uh, help you block fraud and get you your money back!" I asked how I know they're legit and he just repeated the same BS. He then started to give me my address but never gave a name of any kind (mine or his) other than a guy by the name of "Christopher Williams" who I should call back if I want to "resolve this issue." -Yeah right!

I called my bank and they said it was bogus and went over my last several transactions including giving me my current balance. Everything sounded just fine! -I suggest anyone else who gets a call from these guys do the same and DO NOT GIVE any information to them.

They keep calling me too, I've recieved different calls over the past two years from a similar sounding guy, they always want to know your account number which is something you never give out over the phone unless you called your bank.  Think about it.

Geez. These people just called me today. He said he would call tomorrow and that if he didn't, that I should call them. 1-800-953-2092. He said his name was Christopher Lloyd. (odd...isn't he from Back to the Future) Could just be a coincidence. Anyway, the rep was very unprofessional. He did sound like a New Yorker. Sort of a Bronx accent I suppose. What sucks for me is that I just lost my wallet recently. He asked me for my address and other information. I didn't not provide him with anything. He talked about giving me a confirmation number, but never gave it to me. The company he said he was from is Identiguard Pro Services or IPS.

these idiots also called my house saying someone had taken money out of my account. they then wanted the name of my bank and account number.
stop and think, if they knew someone had taken money out of my account, then they damn well shold have known what bank it came out of. call the number back, tell them you have contacted your local authorities, and you appreciate there concern.
you shouldn't call a cop and try and scheme them. just be careful and stop and think before you give out your information.

They called me too!  From IPS or Identiguard services...only twice, the first time (a  month or so ago) I didn't give them anything and they were supposed to send something in the mail.  They had the same story:  "someone stole money from you(my husband and I's joint account)... we want to help you recover it"  They gave me a confirmation number that meant they were sending me something.  They called again today and gave me "MY" information (an old routing number and account number, my date of birth, and an old address!!!!!) they wanted $399 dollars to send me paper work so that I could collect my STOLEN MONEY!!!!!!!  UMMM NO!  I have already closed all my accounts and opened new ones, they aren't getting anything from me!
What really tipped me off:  the first guy gave me a date of '06 for when the money was stolen.  They second guy gave me the dates of '98 and '02 --my husband and I weren't married yet or over the age of 18!!!! and neither one of us would have had an account without our parents names on it at either of those times, and certainly  not an account TOGETHER!
ALSO:  when you call the 800 number that's given as a customer service number, some very RUDE man answers the phone "HELLO"  not professionally at all.  Can't or refuses to help you and has no idea what he's talking about when he does answer you!

I got a call from 800-953-2092 on 3/25/2008 stating that the bank had gotten over $3,000.00 out of my account in the last two years. Wanted my bank's ABA number to stop them from doing it again plus get my money refunded.  I questioned his name and address and he said he was Sam Douglas with IPS at Champaign NY at 1176 Main Street.  I did not give him ABA number.  There is a pattern

I just received the same call.  They stated the were I.P.S  Identity Protection Services.  The stated that I had been a recent my identity stolen and they were here to protect me from it happening again.  They told me if any one was to try to take money out of my checking account they would stop them just by giving them a call.  I just hung up on them.

Some "company" known as IPS or IDS called me and said they could protect me from phone fraud, or just fraud in general, but that they needed my account information to do so. They never stated their name, and were talking fairly fast filling their sentences with a lot of "ums" and "you knows" like they weren't entirely confident in what they were saying. I know it may be next to impossible to find out who is calling me, but stay aware!
