"Card Services" has been anoying us for several months now. I presume that they are a scam collection agency preying on the fact that most people owe money and are unsure exactly who has the legal right to collect it. These companies hurt real collection efforts; I would think that real agencies would try to stop them.  

I finally blocked the number. There should be a law that all businesses must post their correct name and phone number, and another law requiring telephone companies to only allow calls from correctly identified businesses. This would end a lot of abuse. It is so simple. Why doesn't congress do it?

If you have AT&T (SBC)then my BEST suggestion to all of you folks, is to get their "CALL SCREENING" feature for a few bucks a month.  With it you can BLOCK UP TO 10 NUMBERS just by punching a few phone keys... After a call: *60, then #01#...which BLOCKS THE LAST # that called you EVEN IF YOU DON'T KNOW THE NUMBER!  Or you can follow the automated instructions to enter a number, review what numbers are on your "LIST" or delete a number ("07") after hearing it from your List.  I've had this feature for several years and believe me, it's worth every penny if you get a lot of calls from annoying people over and over again. They may start using an alternate number, but just 'add' them to your list also.  Get some peace in your life!  It's a shame to have to spend a few bucks to stop these calls, but it's better than listening to their crap, getting aggrevated and upsetting your day.

It also helps to write your BLOCKED NUMBERS down; I use a 3x5 index card with the date also, so I can edit my LIST after a period of time, to make room for another idiots' number. Hope this helps you all.

Call from Clearbreeze Solutions, except that they were Capital Law Firm in Atlanta, GA to help me lower the interest rate on my credit card.  Stated that do to Fair Credit Act I was able to have my rates reduced and get a refund of $4000.00 in past interest paid. They were always transferring my call.  When I wanted more and more info.  Finally they started recording my end of the conversation not there's.  I tried to have them remove the $990.00 from my account and they stated that I had give them the OK to bill this amount.  They stated that I was recorded and that they would make sure that I was be held for the charge.  They would take me to court to prove the charge to be legit.  I have contacted the BBB of Georgia and this company has 96 Complaints about this company on record. Mine made 97.  These people need to be locked up and soon.

Called me also three times today and I didn't answer because they were calling my cell phone and it's a private number.  Not even sure how they got my number.  Left no messages

they finally stopped calling me. they called daily for two straight weeks, over 80 calls total. still have no idea who it was.

Has called about 6-10 times a day for the past week. calls 4 times in a row right after each other. Can't figure out who they are from the messages, which are always cut off. Not sure if this is legit or a scam.
I have had to turn my ringer off!

I would also like to add that two days ago I signed up for face book, which posts contact info on your page for friends to view...maybe theres a connection. IDK, just a thought.

The phone calls began yesterday and I also have the same problem. Who ever or whatever is calling, does not leave a message. Freakin' weird and very efffin' annoying! I called the number back and got a recording of what sounds like an elderly women woking for a card service.

Has called a few times saying they were from "card services" then "FSI card services" for my husband, when my husband called back, they asked about a card not in his name. They wanted him to call back to 877-957-8399. Seems like some type of scam.

Called 5 times in one day (no joke) and would not leave a message. Has called my house every day for a week. I wish there was a way to block ALL 800 numbers.

they left a message and could not understand a word except "...Mrs. Jones from card serivces..." interesting "Mrs. jones" seems to be very busy calling alot of people

Caller identified as Mrs. Jones from Card Services and asked for a minor in our household. She would not identify what card or why she was calling and shouted at us when we pressed for more information.

The scam-busting web site www.heatherwithaccountservices.co has a lot of useful information about the true identity of these criminals and who to report them to in order to get the illegal calls to stop.

DO NOT report them using any of the information that shows up on your Caller ID because it is ALL fake (which is why you can't call it back).  Their computerized auto-dialer that called you and hundreds of thousands of others (including ones on the DNC list) is programmed to place spoofed numbers and fake names, and they name Card Services, Financial Services, etc. that they use is also fake.  The authorities cannot take action based on this fake info (which is why the criminals use it in the first place).  So go to www.heatherwithaccountservcies.com to get the real scoop.
