I called to get a deferment and it was a bit frustrating. It would be very nice if they had callers who spoke good english!

People there is a such thing as forbearance and deferments. You can apply for it online, and usually they do it for about a year. Try it out, it can't hurt.

That is a great way to ruin your credit for LIFE at an early age. If you want to GROW up and deal with the situation properly answer them (deal with their rudeness) and show them that you are concerned about the bill and your future credit and you want to talk to someone about finding a plan to pay back your loans according to your needs. You may also ask for deferment depending on your current personal situation. Whomever believes that you can just sweep the problem under the rug, you are only hurting yourself and anyone else who co-signed the loan for you. Perhaps you need to go back to college for further education...Good luck!

If you don't want to be hassled, there's a way to fix that. Go to Walmart and buy a Phone Zapper from their electronics dept. When that number comes up, or when you hear the message on the vm, just hit a button and the call is forever blocked.
