I Got A Call From 1 800 9736229 Asking For Some One That Never Lived Here. Saying His Name Is Mr.Peir. Does That Sound About Right To You Guys?

I too have been getting calls from 727-556-5772 number at least three times a day (even on Saturdays and Sundays!) since January 2, 2009. I too, have reported the number to the National Do Not Call Registry and the Federal Trade Commission. My number has been on the Do Not Call Registry ever since it began and I STILL receive these calls. The few times I picked up and the person on the other end hung up. The hundreds of times after that the phone would ring about 2 rings and hang up on its own w/o ever leaving a voicemail. By searching on this site, it looks like it is from out of the country.  The accents are foreign, i.e. India, etc.  I checked my credit report recently and it is in excellent condition w/no delinquencies. It is frustrating and annoying to be called so many times and not have a block caller option on my phone. I totally agree that there should be a class action lawsuit against whoever is behind this number.

Just received a call from my phone company, Embarq, and they suggested to report this anonymous phantom phone caller to the Florida Attorney General.  Here is the Florida Attorney General's phone number for your convenience: 850-414-3300 as provided by my phone company.  If we flood his office with complaints, then maybe somebody will do something about it!!!  Good luck!

Received 6 calls today from 727 556-5772. One message left on my machine, a foreign accent calling himself "Chris Brown". Asked that I call him back at 800 973 6229 to "discuss a foreign business matter".

I have called Macy's and Bloomingdale's directly and they confirmed I do not or have ever had an account w/them or have any delinquent payments. I called Macy's about this (knowing my account was zero balance) and they do use a collection service that includes a call center in India; in my case the collections people --who used the 800- 973-6229 number as well--had me confused with someone with a similar name and they were "hunting" for that delinquent account by phone. So it's an evidently legit business but with a primitive, sawed- off shotgun approach.

I just received a call from this number as well.  We're on the DNC list.  It was a message asking me to wait because all their reps were busy.  Total BS.

Out of the blue, ELEVEN calls from this number to my cell in less than twenty four hours.  I don't give out my cell phone number, don't have credit cards, and am PISSED.

Caller FACS 727-556-5772 claims to be Robert Wilson. Is seeking payement over to phone for my Macy's account. When I told him that I didn't have a Macy's account he then claimed that it was a Bloomingdales account that was $500. in arrears.

This is for delinquint accounts.  If your account is past-due, they ask that you call and pay.

I get multiple calls from these numbers every day. The caller ID says 727 556 5772. The message is to call Macys about a personal business matter and to call 800 973 6229. I never answer it.  What is this about?

All i'm gettin is the #6229 on my phone screen, I havn't answered the calls because it seems weird.
I'm a victem of identity theft so I wouldn't be suprized if it has something to do with someone buying something using my name.
Does anyone know where I can file a complaint online about this?

Received a voicemail from this number stating calling from Wells Fargo regarding a personal matter.  However, I have no account/credit cards/ or loans with Wells Fargo.  Called Wells Fargo and is informed by the service rep that that's not their number.

I was skeptical when I got a call from this number. I called the number off my credit card instead. Turns out the call is legitimate - was advising me I had an overdue bill.

You probably want to check and make sure someone didn't open a macy's account  in your name...

Easy fix for these pain in a** calls.
I pay verizon $5.00 for a "Block call" plan. Everytime I get
any unwanted calls, I put them on the list and never here from them again!

Also got a call from 727-556-5772; simply said, "the number is 1-800-973-6229." Male voice gave no more information nor did he even request I call?

They call from 727.556.5772 and leave a massage to call back 800.973.6339.

They keep calling, claiming to be from Macy's/Bloomingdales, but I don't have an account with either, and they didn't seem to have a name associated with my phone number. I suspect it's a phishing scam to get account numbers, but it's pretty sophisticated. They sound very professional.
