Receive multiple calls daily

For the past week this number has been calling me at least 3times a day every day at varying hours. Nobody is on the other line and now I am worrying about my bill and/or who is/isnt on the other line.

I am getting 2 or 3 calls a week from this phone, when I answer, no one is there.

I have been getting this number calling me once a day for the last 4 days. What's worse is they are calling my cell phone. I answered the first time as I am financing a new car and figured it was the bank. No one was there when I answered. I haven't answered since. I wish they'd stop calling.

I continue to receive calls from this # several times a day. I just bought a new verizon phone and thought they were calling to check on the service.  I finally became really fustrated and called the number back.  It was a company that supposedly checks quality service on products????  They imediatley said they would take put my number on a do not call list which I am already on

I have been getting more calls from this number almost daily. I ignore them now.

In the last few days I test drove a Camry, Hyundai and Chevy.  Started getting these calls a few days ago.  Amazing how inconsiderate these people are.

If I may make an addition to that previous statement, I wouldn't suggest giving bogus numbers. You would just be hassling someone unrelated, unless you know the number you give is disconnected or something. Apparently, asking to be placed on a Do-Not-Call list while on the phone works well too. But these are just people doing a job, they don't mean to trouble you. When I called back, I was on hold for about 3 seconds, so I guess I called at a good time.

It's not spam, per se, it's more along the lines of a company that gives you a survey on how the performance of the company you went to was. Yesterday, I test drove some truck, and I was called by this company this morning, around 11 AM. I quickly answered a few questions, told them honestly what I though of the service of that particular dealership, (Which, irrelevantly, might I add, was lacking.) and they told me to speak to somebody higher up next time I went there. If I were to go there again, I'd talk to a manager, I'd inform them of the phone call, and I would expect not only better service, but I might also specificity tell them not to give that number to the company that asks these questions. Granted, I don't mind responding to a 6 minute survey, it's still a slight hassle.

Hope this helps anyone else. It's not about spam, it's just a survey. If they call, call them back, and you won't be bothered by them again.

800-977-0764 it's a car survey company. Call back the number and ask them to put you on the do not call list. Not that hard...

It ended up being a survey co. It does survey's for different co. to see how was the service. The salesman told me that I'll be receiving a call from them. It ensures his commission because of his service to me. I didn't mind helping someone out to ensure their commission. It was brief.

There are a few bright lights left on the string.  Wonder why everyone doesn't take your advice, DON'T GIVE OUT YOUR INFORMATION unless you are asking for the calls,  give bogus numbers like Pat did, works wonders.

great idea Rob,  don't give out any information at all unless you want these calls.  Many ppl don't realize if you provide your information, you are asking for the calls, spam, etc....  Be wise DON'T GIVE OUT YOUR INFORMATION!!!!!!!

Visited a Chevy dealership yesterday and tried to get a quote.  No quote, but have received two phone calls today.  Called the number back and asked to be removed from the list.  Also said the dealership sucked.

3 calls in last 3 days, when I answered there was no on there

I've recieved three calls from this same number and now reading through this site, it makes sense! I just bought a car the other day and the car salesman took my license and ran it through a machine for "a chance to win a free car" and gather other info for the dealership he said. I remember him saying specifically that they dealership does not give out phone numbers for soliciting phone calls, but I bet that's EXACTLY what it was! Dang, I love getting a new car, but I DISPISE dealerships and car salesmen!!!

Reading the comments above is now getting me worried. I have not ordered furniture or been to a car dealership within the past 3 years. This number started to call last week and calls 3+ times a day every day all at varying hours.

I keep getting calls from this number.  No one is there when I pick up.  I get a call from them 3 times a week.  I've just stopped picking up.  Don't know how they got my number but would appreciate it if they would quit calling.

I recently test drove a car at Toyota of Augusta in Augusta, Georgia. When they ask for your phone number, perhaps you should not give it to them, or give them a bogus number. I also keep getting hung up on, but now that I know, I will be sure to call back and ask to be put on their do not call list.

I've been recieving a call from this number 800-977-0764 for 9 straight days.  Everytime I answered I heard no one on the other end.  Today I finally called back and they asked for my number.  It was Savon Furniture asking how the service I recieved from them was.  That's the last time I give my cell number out.

I have been receiving phone calls from this number(1-800-977-0764). On five different occasions I answered my phone and there was no answer. I was became very frustrating because I am a very busy working mom and wife and my personal time is very important to me. So I decided to google the number and found out I wasn't the only one having this problem so I decided to call the number. A gentlemen answered the phone I asked who he worked for. He told he was taking surveys for car dealerships. This made sense to me because I had recented visited several car dealerships. I imediately asked him to add me to their do not call list. He said no problem, asked me for my telephone number and explained to me that it could take about 24hr or even 30 days for it to go into effect.  Fact: Want Answers Just Google.

I have been getting calls from this number for about a week or so and no answer when I picked up.  I called the number back and it was a survey, I told them not to call anymore and they said they would put me on the do not call list.  I to have taken my vehicle in to a toyota dealership about two weeks ago.

Got a call from this number.  The lady was quite polite, upfrontly stated why she was calling (Satisfaction survey for a car dealership I had visited a few days ago).  When I told her to put me on their do-not-call list, she said she would do so immediately and graciously ended the call.

Annoying, but, I suppose vaguely understandable.

I've been called a few times after taking my car into a local Nissan dealership.  I had the same problem with whoever it was hanging up.  They are conducting surveys for car companies after you visit dealerships.  I called them back and asked them to put me on their do not call list.  This seemed to solve the problem.
