I didn't answer this phone call as all it says is Utah on the caller i.d., the area code of 801 is indeed from the Salt Lake City, UT area. However, this is a scam in order for them to extract credit card information from you. It has nothing to do with viruses on your computer. These people are taking a chance that you will fall for their Microsoft calling because you have a serious virus and they need to help you take care of it right away.
    There are articles that I have found online regarding this Microsoft scam. One malware tech was able to figure it all out by following their directions so they could try to catch these nasty creatures.
     When they call, answer it, tell them do not call back to your home because you are aware of their scam and that you do not have a computer at all.

Called 11:56am, left no message.

Heavy Indian accented man informed me something was wrong with my windows program asked me to tell him what is currently on my computer screen. He told me I have viruses on my computer and he works for windows. his Utah tel. number 801-025-4689.

Heavy accent called again today . Wanted to get into my computer to check for a virus.  Told him was on to his scam.  I have three honest sons to be proud of and to bad his mother can't say the same about him.  Don't call again.

Keep getting calls from 801-025-4689 when answered they hang up. Receive calls daily with multiple calls.

Had the same idiot twice. Said my kids were playing video games on the computer and I had a virus. The same heavy Indian accent. I said give me a returnable phone #, your name and the company name and connect me with someone that I can understand.  I also told him I don't have kids at home that play video games on the computer. He stuttered and then you heard the phone hung up. Another scam. Hang up. By the way, someone mentioned report it to authorities. What authorities?

I keep receiving calls from 801-025-4689. First few calls they would hang up. Today a man with a heavy accent starts talking and says he's with Microsoft and I have a Virus.

Today I received a call from a guy with a horrible accent of unknown origin. He wanted me to turn on my computer. His english was so so bad I could not understand much. But the caller id was 801 025-4689. He told me that my computer was sending out data and he could help me once I turn my computer on,  I told him that if he knows my computer is sending out data unknown to me then he should have known It is on already and then I hung up :) I'm sure he wanted to access my personal information or my computer information.  Don't Fall for this.  I hope Someone can catch these guys and prosecute them if they have damaged anyones computers.

Well at least the people in Bombay have jobs....but the same thing as all of the above happened to me and I filed a complaint with the FTC.

Got a phone call from a male with a heavy Indian accent today. He kept trying to tell me  some kind of error message showed up on my Windows comptuer. I told him, "I don't know what the heck he was saying" english was so BAD. He kept repeating himself and I hung  up on him. Phishers I believe. They need to be stopped.

Six calls from this number today. How can I stop them ?

They are calling - when I answer 'hello' then they are silent and then say 'goodbye' or 'goodnight' in a strong accent.  They call after 8:00 p.m.  The calls are happening every day!

Got multiple calls from (801) 025-4689. VERY annoying. Been filing complaints with the National Do Not Call Registry. If they get enough complaints, they'll look into it & take legal action.

I also received an unwanted call from this number to our unlisted number.  A weak English speaker said there was something wrong with my computer. I told him our computers were fine and hung up as he was insisting that I had a virus on mine. He has called twice today.

They called me four times in one hour and never say anything although I can hear a bunch of people and noise in the background.  Not sure what they are up too but I am 100% sure it is a scam of some sort.  It would be great if people like this would get arrested or at least shut down.

Ridiculous. Scammers have tried calling me 3 times since they spoke with my husband. Claimed to be from Microsoft and that people were trying to hack our bank accounts. Just blocked them.

Some guy called claiming to be from Microsoft and he was going to fix my mother's computer "because we're getting error messages sent to us from your computer." When I told the scammer that the computer wasn't even hooked up to the internet, he hung up. SCAM 801-025-4689

Either this guy is a hacker of a new employee of the National Security Agency testing out their new spy center in Utah. Someone should investigate the owner of this phone number, assuming it isn't bogus also.
Maybe a Visa worker will skills Americans don't have -- that we have provided jobs to so they can enter the U.S.

called twice within 10 mnutes of each call.  Man both times with heavy India accent.  Said was from micro soft.  First time I told him to kiss a duck and hung up.  Next time told him had no problem and leave me alone hung up.

A caller with broken English called stating I had problems with my windows computer..Then asked if i had a computer...well I can fix it  your windows  is bad  I asked him not to call again and hung up

Called and said he was from Microsoft in broken English.  Asian man.  Told him I didn't have a computer.  He kept on with the rhetoric.  I finally told him to look up the correct number cuz it wasn't me.

Received at call at 4:09pm today from this number. The gentleman spoke with an accent and told me this call was about Windows on my computer. Immediately, I let him know I'm aware of the scam they have going on and don't call me anymore with that mess! I hung up on him!

My first call was a few days ago, the accent was asian, both a man and a woman.
But no phone number on my caller ID.  They wanted me to turn on my computer and....
But when I asked what then ?  She never answered my question. I hung up.

Are we expected to go to an unidentified web page or what?  They under estimate us.
