PARANOIA TO THE MAX DUDE!
It is a "survey of bond issue results." People stand on street corners, and write down license plate numbers and ask you straight up how you voted on the local issues. MAJOR invasion of privacy! Don't answer. It's B S.

Amazing what you can find on the internet.
They called me tonight.
The guy said he was with Key Research and he was doing a radio station survey.
I told him I was not interested and to take my number off his call list.
He asked if there was someone else that would take the survey.  I yelled at him, telling him to take my number off his list.
He said they pay $20 for the survey.  I told him I'd be reporting the call to the attorney general, which I did.
I realize each AG's office probably gets hundreds of these complaints from the many crap companies like this per day, but I report them anyway.  Maybe, just maybe, my AG might actually do something.

You bonehead.  Liberals are the ones trying to stop this kind of crap-- Mormons own this company, the President is a Mormon, and almost all Mormons are dirtbag RepubliCANTs who do nothing but exploit, steal, and obstruct. There hasn't been a real Republican since Eisenhower, and he would have been considered to be a raging liberal by today's WRONG-wing standards.

I had the same problems with them.
I sent an email to the administrators and copied the FCC comissioner, Ajit Pai.
I figure if I have to put up with it, so does the Government that isn't helping stop it.

The calls stopped !!  Redacted email follows..

Subject: Do Not Call

To: www.key-research.com administrators.
I have had repeated calls from Key Research 801-377-7003.
I instructed them not to call back.
Got another call within 45 minutes.
I asked for identification of the caller and he hung up.
This is a flagrant violation of FCC rules requiring callers to identify themselves.
My number is 703-xxx-xxxx.
Take me off your call list.  Do not respond to my phone number for communication.
Your phone number does not take any more messages (Full).
This should be a sign to you that your ?Research? calls are unwanted and obtrusive.
This is harassment and I will pursue charges if it continues.

A copy of this email is being sent to FCC Commissioner Ajit Pal

My message is kind of jumbled but you can see he responded to me this day, and I sent him and email telling him that I would not give him my phone number, that I was on the dnc list and he or his company should not be calling me.

So maybe everyone can call Ed's cell phone and bug the hell out of him. Not advising one way or the other, it is up to you all to stand up to these pigs and stop them from calling us. The governor of MS has the right idea he is taking on the telemarketers head first that is what all of us need to do. STAND UP AND BE COUNTED PEOPLE!!!!

Political Call
They're not trying to sell you merchandise -- they're a sham political polling company.

I decided to answer questions from them to see if they were legitimate -- they are not; at least the poll I was presented with was clearly not a real poll and had a strong partisan bias. Before the "meaty" questions even started, there were polls about political affiliation and candidates that foreshadowed the right-wing bias of the poll -- for example, using the term "Democrat Party," which is widely perceived as pejorative, rather than the proper term, "Democratic Party."

Once the "real" questions came -- about the ACA, which it persistently called "Obamacare" (a legitimate poll would just call it by its real name -- the Affordable Care Act) -- the questions were prefaced with editorial statements lifted directly from right-wing talking points memos. Most of these "facts" were simply lies, but most Americans are so uninformed that they would likely be taken by most of those polled as legitimate facts and their answers would reflect that.

So, it *is* a polling company, but obviously not a credible one. The only thing they're trying to "sell" you is TeaTard snake oil.

I thought solicitation/polling calls were to take place prior to 9 pm. (whatever timezone is being called). I had a long week and am up very early. I did not appreciate this call waking me! No message was left and when I returned the call the next morning I received a very ambiguous message that really didn't identify the company.
