These people are bottom feeders. Read about them on line. Block the number so they don't annoy you.

This is a Scammer. They do not say whom they are but try to make you think they are part of Select Portfolio Services. There is an inside leak somewhere because they know some of your Personal Info.. Someone is trying to get extra cash out of you. Disregard the calls and if you need to check call numbers you know are legitimate.

They call all day, everyday. I thought harassment was illegal. I answer the phone and they hang up. If my machine answers, they hang up. It's like they don't really want to speak to you, just annoy you. I have turned my answering machine volume off and my landline ringers are off. I keep the landline for home phone contact only. Friends and family get the cell number, so at the end of the day I have five messages and five or six hang ups. They must be paying these people peanuts for this to make sense to anyone. Smart money would be to actually collect whatever debt is owed unless this company has some sort of big scam going.

Mortgagte. Yes... they call constantly... almost every day, even after I make promise to pay. Funny thing is since I filed bankruptcy they aren't supposed to call me at all as I understand the law, but they keep calling... constantly. They do start before the grace period ends. As early as the 2nd. They like to call first thing in the AM. If I actually ask them questions they seem confused. One rep even tried to get me to pay my escrow balance. That is they have $300 of my money in escrow for taxes and insurance so she asked me for another $300 to cover that amount which they already have?!?!

We recently got a letter that out Bank of America mortgage would be handled by Select Portfolio Processing. Now we get calls from this number at least twice a week. I always answer thinking there is a problem with them receiving our payment electronicly. So far no one has ever picked up the line......please hold for an urgent message.

Same number anytime, several times a day. When a human finally gets on phone, they tell me I owe $48,000. Not possible!! Loan was sold from BAC to SPS. Why?

These clowns must be paid for each phone call they make. They've been told repeatedly the people they're looking for cannot be reached at my phone number. They stop calling for a while then they started up again this week. They've called 3 times today alone.

I just started getting calls from this company. They call throughout the day. I used to own a home through B of A but it was foreclosed on well over a year ago. Why would I now be getting calls on something I don't own?

The caller ID on my phone said SELECT PORTFOLI.
This is the abbreviated name for Select Portfolio Servicing, a debt collector that doesn't honor anything you say to them about the legal status of the discharged debt!

I did a loan mod with chase and after I made the 3 monthly trial payments my mortgage was sold to sps. I read up on them and it makes me nervous. I get calls all the time from this number, and they don't leave a message.

Well the scum suckers just called again now they're asking for a Mark Jackson. They never give up. I told them I was recording them (and I did). I also told them I am not the person(s) they're seeking and they don't live in my household. I found this information online about a lawyer. I intend to contact the attorney shown below if I hear from these clowns again. They should be verifying the contact information of the person they're calling for instead of dialing numbers at random. Enough is enough.

My home has been paid off for 10 years and I never took out a 2nd mortgage. Based upon some of the comments shown, they're trying to get your private information. Ask them to send you written notification of anything they say you owe. I hadn't gotten any phone calls from them for about 4 months and now they're calling again for someone named #&*@#&$$ Margie Jackson. I get a boat load of calls from collection agencies for this queen.

These scumbags calling me asking me to verify who I am, yet they would refuse to identify themselves after being repeatedly asked to identify themselves and why they are calling, then, at the end of the call, they inform me that I'm on the recorded line (without my consent). I hang up and get a call a minute later with some moron telling me that it is their policy to and they are going to call the police on me because they claim I have threatened them. I have recorded the whole conversation, which I announced to them that I am recording at the very beginning of the call. Make sure to record their calls every time. Take them to court!

Got a call from them, missed call. I didn't recognize the number so I just turned my phone off for the day.

Went through bankruptcy and mortgage was discharged, know i am doing to loose by house due to forclosure, Bank of American then sold mortgage to this company who refused to do a deed in liue of, does not seem to honor the discharge and continues to mail and call and wont stop. From what i read above they are not reputable and use scare tactics trying to get anything they can.

these people are a fraud. I think that they should be turned over to the FBIH

They took over our mortgage a few months ago. Never heard of them. Did some research. Sounded like a pretty shady company. They charge you to make a payment on-line or over the phone. They want you to set up auto payments or MAIL in a check. I'm afraid that if I mail a check it will get "lost" or take forever to process, then it would be late. They call everyday during the grace period. I do not like being treated this way by a company that I'm paying a great deal of money to every month. We are currently refinancing with a much more reputable BANK.

This number has repreatedly called my house...when I finally answered, it took a min for them to respond, they told me they were calling to talk to me about a mortgage then asked for my social security number so I hung up.

Last month I received a letter from Bank of America announcing that the servicing of the first mortgage was being transferred to a new company. I was ignoring calls from SELECT PORTFOLIO because I didn't know who it was. But when I came here and read a previous post about this number that said Select Portfolio also services mortgage loans I went and found their letter informing me that they (SPS aka Select Portfolio Servicing, Inc.) now service the mortgage previously serviced by BoA. I called the customer service number, 1-800-258-8602, and asked why they were auto-dialing my home number (since I am not behind on my mortgage). The polite rep said that this was a "welcome" phone call which was basically to tell me how to pay my mortgage to them and to verify the contact information they had on me. My biggest disappointment with this change is that SPS charges a $5.00 fee to pay my mortgage online via their website which was FREE with BoA and FREE with the company before BoA. Let me think this through -- they want to charge me $5.00 so they get their money faster and more efficiently verses the cost to me of a first class stamp? I choose the first class stamp. Stupid decision SPS and not a good way to begin a long term business relationship.

Its Select Portfolio Servicing....they're our mortgage company. If you're a little late they call...no biggie.
| Georgia 2012-05-16 03:19:34 Debt Collector |
This loan servicing company is very aggressive and annoying. They call at least four times a day and as late as 8:45 at night. When I answer, only hesitation and then a dial tone. Will not speak, just call and hang up. My mortgage is due on the 1st and is not late until after the 16th. I get my check once a month between the 1st and 5th of the month. They won't change my due date and the money get there around the 8th, but they start calling on the 2nd of the month. any suggestions on how to stop these boiler room nuts?

Be careful! These phone calls are probably for you and you don't know it yet! When Fairbanks acquired my mortgage from Conti in 1999-2000, I was not informed. I was sending payments to Conti and the delinquency letters and phone calls from Fairbanks. All these years and I am STIILL stuck with these
