I have been on do not call list for over a year.  After telling a student this, the next week I get another call for money.

With all of the money they make from sporting events how can they have the nerve to ask students to call people for donations. Give me a break look at the millions they are paying some coaches. Why not ask them to give back a 1/4 of that to the school.

Super annoying when I have no connections to South Carolina and continue to receive calls after I contacted their person to have my number removed from the list. Someone needs to do their job and update their lists.

Very interesting posts. I could not figure out why I was getting calls from 803-777-2874. with no message and no caller ID. It was a little upsetting at first because I have elderly relatives in SC, where I went o USC...in 1974! These calls have been coming in on my smartphone. They didn't even have smartphones when I graduated Carolina. Maybe at some point I gave the school the number on some alum update. I've gotten calls and mail over the years, I've given when I could, but there has been something incessant about this last round. I'm tapped out like everyone else. It's a shame. At any rate, mystery solved. I don't have a problem with the mail solicitations, but I don't want these calls. My phone has a blocker, and many phones do now. For now, the blocker's on for this one.

Hung up on me too, but I wonder if these kids have finally gotten too ashamed of calling up strangers to ask them for money, esp. at a time when many of us have little extra lying around. I'd rather scrub pots in the dining halls.

I got a call from this number from someone claiming to be a student at USC and later in the conversation a student at USC-Aiken.  I asked him what classes he was taking and after a very long pause, he said "basic classes, biology and a math class, I think".  I told him it was mid-November, and that he should know his class schedule by now.  I then hung up on him as I assumed this was some sort of scam.

Called to remind me to finish my Honors Application before the deadline. I didn't answer but the nice guy left a message. :)

All 803-777-XXXX numbers are from the University of South Carolina.  It is most likely the Alumni Association calling for donations.  I'm a life member of the Association, and I donate to specific programs when I can.  Despite informing them of such, they keep calling.  I don't blame them, it is just students getting paid to do a job.  Politely inform them that you aren't interested, or that you will give when you can, or that you directly contribute, or whatever, but don't hate the University or the Alumni Association for doing it.  However, don't have any great expectation that next year or the next they won't come calling again.

I am also receiving multiple calls from this number on my husbands cell. When he gives me the phone they hang up. When I call the number back, they pick up the phone to stop the ringing and hang up. . .repeatedly. I don't care who they are or what they want. If they don't stop calling I will make a police report and demand that they follow up on it. If this is, indeed, the USC alumni association, shame on you and the imbecile (alledged) college students. What the hell is the matter with these people? If they want money, why can't they have a phone conversation, state who they are and what they want?

This number has called me about once a month since the day I graduated in 2011. It's University of Sourh Carolina trying to get me to donate money to future students or something. Excuse me but I'm 40,000 in student loan debt as it is. Where's my assistance?!

I am getting calls to my cell phone, once I tried to answer and  then called disconnected.  I don't know where they got my number or why they call me.  I am not a USC graduate I went somewhere else. I keep calling back and mailbox is full.  I am going to file a complaint with do not call registry.

I get calls from them periodically and it's OK.  I donate because I was helped through college and anyone that can just should.   Even if it's 10 bucks....   No reason to be mean if you don't have it...

I have received a call from this number on my cell phone a few nights each week for the past few months. It's so annoying. I'm a huge gamecock fan, but this is ridiculous. Even when I answer the caller hangs up.

I receive a call from this number at least twice a week...it's annoying and it's starting to get a little obnoxious.  You would think the University of South Carolina would have better things to do with their fund raising strategies than to piss off parents who spend whey too much on their child's college education.  Maybe they should harass the FED for the money?  Better yet, allow the "callee" to continue to call them back and NOT leave a message or have the courtesy to speak to whomever they are calling.

got this call last year, I picked once, and they asking for donation. they started asking for $500..  i said no.. i can't afford, and they are very good talking persuade me to give out $50 finally.
starting March this year, they call me again.. i didn't pick up, and now they just call me 3~4 times a week for last two months!

Got a call but couldn't take it. No voicemail received. Called the number back. It rang several times but no pick-up. I hung up, called the number again. Phone was auto-answered, said my call was being automatically forwarded to "Call Center."

I was at a MonaVie meeting and was unable to take the call, there was no voicemail.  I didn't return the call.  It came in at 7:26pm central time/5May
