If you can't be bothered to obey the telemarketing laws, why should be be civil with you? I don't do business with scofflaws and let callers know that in no uncertain terms. Callback are treated as harassment and reported as such.

same here...I have never spoken with anyone. It's always dead air. Today I have gotten five calls from the VA area....If I call back, it says it is disconnected...

They've called me six times in the last three or four days. My phone never rings, it just shows I have missed calls. They never leave a message, and when I try to return the call it is either busy or the number has been disconnected.

Immediately lied and told him i had to check on the baby since the call woke him up. Went and got a cup of coffee and made toast, picked up the phone and he was still there, was trying to give me the free partition upgrade to something.... he couldn't get past the barrier of me telling him I didn't understand the word "petition" as he kept pronouncing it. played with that word for 3 to 4 more minutes ... then asked him which country he was in, he responded "New York, ok?" ... told him I just searched his number and found it is from a call bank in the phillipines with a ported number to virginia. he just continued to asked me if i wanted the free petition.... then i kindly asked him if he really wanted to waste anymore time on me since I have now used 14 minutes of his precious scam time on a dead end call .... he hung up.... and depending on my mood or if i am bored or not, i will then decide if i answer his 804 number again ..... I used to get angry at them on the phone, but that seems to cause them to put on the "call back and pester repeatedly" list. seems like if you waste their time in the first call, they don't bother the followup attempts. ....... have fun.

Well I just got the call. Seems like there's been a lot of Auto Insurance companies selling things (Assuming that's what it was according to peoples comments).
I've already renewed, so I have no need.

this is crazy, that the government allows our cell phone numbers to be shared. You can not hide or place your number as unlisted anymore. SO now we have to deal with spam E- Mail and spam calls to burn up our minutes from our phone plans. I have received multiples calls from other phone company, as soon as you answer they hang up, and then call you back. Now i just look at the number and never answer.

They have called every day for 2 weeks. I wait until the come on the line, and request once again to be removed from their call list. They are very rude. I asked for the manager, but they hung up. I tried to call back but states the number has been disconnected, shows Warsaw, Va. They refuse to stop calling me, won't tell me how they got my number. I have renewed my number many times at donotcall.gov. I am tired of this
