They left me voicemail regarding my friend. In a thick indian accent:  "This is officer Mike Black. I am from the VCI, crime investigations. _____ ______ is a primary suspect in a crime and has supplied us with your name and number as a reference. Please have ______ ______  call me back at 804-414-6734, extension###. Or please call me back the very second you get this message."

Its fraudulent. Its not really an officer. Its illegal to pose as an officer of the law. Its a billy collector looking for my friend.

I receive a diferents calls from this number. I don't know who is???? Please somebody let me know about this number. Thanks.

They wait for a response to transfer you to a call center.  It is a school network.  I finally just waited and got transfered to a rep.

Received several calls.  Stated it was an online university.

We got calls from them today; the exact same situation as described in the above post by Ellie.
I googled the name of the company mentioned in previous posts and found reference to a private Saudi foundation.
How they got our cellphone, we do not know.

called 3 times in 2 days.  Education Direction is the name of the company

I just got 2 missed calls from them. Called them back, and waited through the terrible titanic/elevator music to speak to somebody. Finally got ahold of a woman who did  not seem to want to answer my questions, nor did she seem to understand them. I asked who they were and she did not give very much detail at all. I asked where they got my number from, and she said 'Yes'. So I repeated the question, then re-phrased it. She said they got my number from an online survey I filled out, expressing interest in an online degree, which I never did. She asked if I wanted to (do something I couldn't understand because of her accent and such) I said no, so she asked if I wanted to get some online degree with some sort of financial aid, again I said no. Then there was a very long pause and finally she said 'okay' and hung up.

They called me...when i called back it just gives me a dead tone. its really weird

I just got a call from them about 5 minutes ago.  I kept saying hello, hello and no one said anything and then they hung up.

I received a call this afternoon. The voice sounded like a asian female. The reception was bad and I asked them to give me a minute to walk outside.  I was outside within 20 seconds but she hung up

I guess when you block one of these numbers they just call you from a different number.

I got a call but did not answer it.  I looked up the phone number on google and got this site.  I am not answering.

Annoying. 2 Calls yesterday. I don't answer numbers I don't know. Been getting subscription text msg to for something I didn't sign up for.

I receive calls from this number on a monthly. If I do not know the number I let it go to voice mail. No message was ever left. I have this number blocked and goes right to voice mail. I would think after months of this they would quit calling?

However, the calls keep coming!
