It's nice that you report the phone calls here, but in order for something to be done about it, you need to file a complaint with the FCC.  I just did, and it took less than 5 minutes.  If they get enough complaints, they will investigate:

Just got a call from this number.  I, too, live in PA but kept my VA cell phone number.  Answered the call, very bad connection, but did hear a woman say "hello?"  I said hello a couple times, then said "you called me."  Then the call ended.  Didn't call back and won't.  I took a call from an unknown number about 10 years ago, and nobody was there.  I was connected for about a minute, and when I got my phone bill (land line), there was a $700 + charge for a call to Vanuatu, and island in the South Pacific.  The phone company took the charge off, but it was still a shock.  Just be careful...

Just got called myself. These can be scams.   Pennies multiplied millions of times adds up.  Multiple scenarios.  Some include this number being a spoof of a 900 or charge number, these encourage you to call back (so you initiated the call) then keep you on the line with bs, others include schemes that charge your phone company fees for connections.  If your phone rings once and you don't know who it is,  don't call back.  If it's real,  they'll call again. These schemes depends on you calling them back.

Just received a call from this number. Live in Pennsylvania but kept my Virginia cell phone number. Thank goodness I missed the call!

I just got a call from this number, I answered, no one there.  Thing is it is my work cell number that is not published anywhere outside of our facility.

Got a call at 10:41, I'm from VA but its my cell and I live in FL now...answered and they didn't say anything and hung up

Just received yet ANOTHER call from this number.  I didn't answer it this time.  No message.  Same as all of the others above.

I got a call from this number. There was no one there. When I called back, an old man answered and told me this number hasn't been used in over 30 years!

Or..Ya know. No one picked up.

Two calls within 5 seconds, 1 ring, no message.  Why?

Two calls within 5 seconds, 1 ring, no message, hangup.  Why do these scammers even bother?  What are they trying to do?

I get called by this number at least one a day around 3pm. Used to answer it and no one was there. they never leave a message so now i just ignore the call

Just got a call from this number saying that insurance rates can go down because the new 2014 insurance law. Seemed pretty bogus to me. It was pretty persistent woman.

Received call at 16:26 (-06:00 Z)  on my 540-area code mobile phone.  There was a loud tone for about 500 msec then the call disconnected.  On call back, I got the following message:
   Sorry we missed you.  If you would like to find out more about discount automobile insurance, press (1).  If you would like to be removed from out call list, press (2). [transcription, from memory]
After selecting (2), I heard a brief tone and was disconnected.

Recieved a call on my Virginia based cell phone at 12:40 P.M. on 4/11/14.  I answered and after I said hello there was a pause, then a women said there were cahnages to automobile insurance laws and asked me if I had a couple minutes.  I said I did not and hung up before she could say another word.  

Received a call from this number around 10:30 am. Told my husband that they could save him on car isnurance on his recently purchased 2014 vehicle. He told lady that he didn't own a 2014 vehicle. She said thank you and hung up. Funny thing is I purchased a 2014 vehicle in Dec 2013. My purchase had nothing to do with him. Plus they're calling a cell phone number.  So where are these people getting their information? Clearly a scam. She never indicated the name of the company she represents.

Also received a call from this number.  No one said anything.  I hung up.

This number just called me.  I said hello 3X and no one spoke.  Hung up.  weird.

Received a call from 804-835-5030 and when I called back, automation stated the number had been changed or was no longer in service.  

Actually a lady named amy talked for a while saying that she could save hundreds of dollars on my car insurance- when I asked that I didn't asked for quote from anyone  and how did she got my number- she got smart and kind of got agitated- I asked her to not call me again. End of the story and of course googling this number- I saw all these comments.

who was my provider. Then hung up. I called back, msg said phone is disconnected or no longer in service. This is directly after the hang up.
