Just received a call from 810-742-1123 on my private cell phone number, which I do not give out and is on a do not call list.
When you call this number on the landline, you get the recording that this number has been disconnected or no longer in service.

I got this same call but looked into it. lol Its not a scam. I cant believe how annoyed you are by this. lol i get telemarketing calls all the time and you know what i do????? I HANG UP!!!!! I worked for telemarketing for a couple months awhile back. First off the company i worked for was non-profit. So guess what non-profit does NOT have caller ID. If you want your number blocked you have to give them the number to block!!! YOU IDIOTS!!! otherwise dont bother calling. And look up your facts cause do not call lists dont usually apply to non-profit. And they called your personal cell phone?? Should they have called your public cell phone??

A lady answered and said who am I speaking with. I said that didn't matter, that I wanted to know why they called me. Then she asked if I needed help getting out of credit card debt. I said no, I don't have or need a credit card. I told her there was a web site online with about 100 people on it complaining about them calling them. She said "that is unfortunate, what do you want me to do about it. I work in processing"
Marcus 2011-06-06 20:59:22 Unknown
Yup, got a "Hey guys, it's Rick Johnson, sorry for taking so long to get back to you about lowering your credit card rates" or some garbage like that.

I also just received a call from 810-742-1123, which when I attempted to call back I was told it was no longer in service. It is my opinion that when a carrier had been informed that they have the ability to black list these type of numbers say after a number of people have reported the same number as a nuisance or phisihng call.
kk 2011-06-06 20:59:22 Unknown
The caller left bogus voicemail about reducing credit rates. I thought it could have been a genuine mistake to someone else with a similar phone number, but after checking here, I realized it was a complete bogus call. Didn't even bother to call back. Now it's on my blocked list. If you get a call, don't bother calling back or even listening to their voicemail message.

Have gotten 2 calls on my cell from this number. Its a prerecorded message saying that an offer for some kind of program is still available if Im interested. It makes it sound like they got the wrong number but I could take advantage of the great offer if I wanted to. Total scam.

Pre-recorded message from a female - first portion was cut off but it was about "lowering my interest rates on my credit cards and she found the solution I was looking for"
I'm in CO like a couple other people - is everyone getting these calls in CO? Then again it could just be that their number generator was working on our area codes first.

A pre-recorded message from a person calling himself Rick Johnson trying to offer me a credit card offer. He apologized for being so slow in "getting back to me", but I had never had any prior contact with him.
I could have stayed on the line and pressed 1 to be connected to someone which I didn't do. Sounded really bogus to me.

It did not freak them out, but she's never available....and the woman I spoke to said she was a debt collector...I proceeded to explain that I cannot even get a credit card...she asked for my number and I told her that I used to be a debt collector and they all have called ID and that I wouldn't give my number out. She asked for my area code, which I gave...and asked when my number was called - I told her about 5 minutes ago and to never call me again.

I received a call from this number - a recording, I assume....it states we spoke last week about lowering my interest rates. First off, I cannot even be approved for a credit card because this economic hardship we've all been experiencing has ruined my credit, due to a lack of funds to pay bills, and 2nd - there's no way anyone would even know that I had credit cards....and I'm on the national "do not call" list. When I called it back, it was a disconnected number. It's obviously a scam and I'm not sure who to get in touch with regarding this. I've been told to press '1' to be connected but I don't receive any other credit card offers so why bother? I know this is a scam but don't know what to do about it.

Do not answer and do not respond to this message. It is a scam! I received a voicemail from a woman named Hailey Meyers who said we spoke last week about lowering interest rates on credit cards and monthly payments. I have never spoke to this person. Her call back number is 800-310-9982. People like this should be charged with fraud. So annoying.
Go Get 'Em 2011-06-06 20:59:22 Unknown
Calling this number back gets a no-longer-in-service recording. The voicemail is from Haley Meyers, totally bogus. Call 800-310-9982 back, and insist on speaking with Haley Meyers. This will freak them out.

Got called from this number did not answer their predicitive auto-dialer.
They left a bogus voicemail message claiming to be from Hayley Myers and falsely stating we spoke last week about lowering credit card interest rates, call them back etc.
Scam caller. Scam messages. Put them on your block list. You should probably not bother to call them back.

I got the same friendly Rick Johnson message and pressed 1. When Mary answered, I whispered in a creepy voice "stop calling me, stop calling me". Of course she hung up, but I like to give them crap when I can.

I just got a phone call from the same number, with the pre-recorded message from Rick Johnson offerng me a credit card offer. I was upset my cell was getting a recorded call, so I hung on the line and pressed 1 to talk to an operator. A lady picked up the phone but did not identify who she was working with, I said I would like to be removed from the mailing list and got the phone SLAMMED down and hung up on. I called the number back, it said disconnected.Totally a scam I'm sure, just sucks my cell somehow made it to their calling list.

A pre-recorded message from a person calling himself Rick Johnson trying to offer us a credit card offer. When you try calling the phone number back you get a message saying it has been disconnected.
You could have stayed on the line and pressed 1 to be connected to someone which I didn't do.

This is an IDENTITY THEFT SCAM!
When you call back a recording says the number is disconnected, but that's just a recording on an answering machine. -- Phone Company says it's an active number.
Report these criminals to the FBI https://tips.fbi.gov/ They are running an interstate fraud scam!!!
