I got two calls from this number on March 11th of this year.   The first, placed to my mobile phone, was immediately followed by a land line call.  Not trusting the bizarre number and funky prefix, I ignored them.   These calls came in around 0920 hrs; I might add that the unknown calls are always placed in the morning, before 11 AM.   It was only one of several unknown numbers that have been attacking both my cell and home numbers over the past couple of months.  The home phone regularly identifies the caller as a "William Dallas".  My rule is, if I don't know him, I'm not answering.

I received a set of the tandem calls (William Dallas, identified caller to the landline) around 0933 hrs on 4/15 from a different phone number, but the prefix was a known local one.   I made the stupid mistake of answering the call to the mobile phone.  No answer from the person on the other end, and the line went to a busy signal, I believe.   On 4/16 I got a single call from a phone number comprised solely of zeroes (which went unanswered); on today's date (4/17) I received an email from one of my Internet providers, telling me that the attempt to change my password couldn't be confirmed, yadda yadda yadda.   Additionally, emails traveling to my mobile phone were interrupted.

Well, they poked the bear.  The conspiracy theorist in me now on alert, I did my own research on William Dallas with the phone number that most likely had the local connection.  I determined that William Todd Dallas, 4/11/1963 did (does?) exist, and is directly or indirectly related to a number of south Tampa addresses that correspond with various businesses, (shell?) corporations and at least one law firm in south Florida, Spiegel & Utrera, P.A. (also d/b/a amerilawyer).  I'm not exactly sure who this guy is, or why anyone involved with a legitimate law firm would be interested in hacking my Internet account and taking on the whole identity theft issue.  I'd advise against it, though - this newly retired police detective has a considerable amount of time to look into the whole ball of wax.   To kind of paraphrase part of my favorite WWII movie, all he has done is awakened a sleeping giant and filled him with a terrible resolve.   More later.

I received a call from "Paul" at Bullseye Auto Glass.  It was a robocall.  He asks if you have a crack in your windshield you need repaired.  He later explains options to press to speak to someone.  When you press it, you get a  recording and he asks you to leave your number and someone will call you back.  This happened at 8:48am.  I am in the do not call list.
