Are you the one sending the text? LOL It is a scam you moron. If any bank would actually have you put your debit card number, pin number and the three digit security code over the phone you better switch banks. I entered a fake card number pin and code and it said thank you for verifying your information your account is now unlocked. DO NOT ENTER INFORMATION

According to Suncoast they are working with authorities. I called their customer service # on their website. My husband and I both got texts and we have accounts.

These calls and texts are fraudulent. There is info on the Suncoast web site.

Here's the message that's posted on "Suncoast Schools FCU":

The message is requesting the recipient provide their card information in order for the card to be unlocked.

You must be one of the individuals involved in this fraud. No bank would ever call or send any text requesting you provide your personal information via a recorded message. You would be informed that you need to contact customer service & speak to a "Live" customer service rep. This phone number isn't assigned to Suncoast Federal Credit Union & I've never been a member which means they do not have any of my contact info on file & would have no means, or reason, to contact me. Local, state & federal authorities are all ready investigating this matter so they may find your comment suspicious & may be interested in contacting you.

I received a text message from 18132175090@online.com//Suncoast Schools FCU alert. It was a text requesting me to call customer service at 813-217-5090. No one in our family deals with "Suncoast Schools" Thank goodness for google and postings indicating this is fraud attempts.

I just got another set of texts from this number, 2 within 4 minutes of each other. On a Sunday morning, 10:30 am... this is a week after my previous post. Again, vague messages about security warnings from Suncoast Schools FCU.
I called back. It said the line was busy and dumped me into a "leave a message" system. I left them a message that I hope fries their fooking eardrums, then went into my online account and added this number to the 5 I am permitted to entirely block. I didn't realize the phone block applied to text messages too.
I don't understand why nothing more can be done about this, and I think in these days of rampant phone abuse by scammers, phone companies ought to provide free, unlimited number blocking.

I got a text at 6:56pm with a Suncoast Schools FCU alert. Call now customer service: 1-813-217-5090. I called and a message said that a hold was put on my card for suspicious use that I needed to key in my card number. At that point I hung up and googled the phone number and saw this message board.

My husband just got the text I looked on Suncoast and it is a scam do not call it and if you have called, then call Suncoast immediately so they can watch your account. We just talked to customer care and they are going to keep an eye on our account. Just an FYI for help!!
Meghan 2012-06-23 22:43:02 Unknown
I got the same text message. I have already had my identity stolen for tax purposes so I definitely will not be calling.
Peggy 2012-06-23 22:18:48 Unknown
Is Suncoast going to notify the police or should all of us who have been contacted???
Kelly 2012-06-23 22:04:47 Unknown
Got a text message from the number. Said 18132175090@tonline.com//Suncoast Schools FCU alert. Said to call customer service at 813-217-5090. Glad I looked here first. I won't be calling.

received text message trying to get info from me on my accounts

This is a text message scam to get you to call 813-217-5090 and verify your credit cards.
This is not from Suncoast Federal Credit Union.
DO NOT CALL!
The computer generated voice system prompts you to enter card number, expiration date, CVV and ATM PIN. I called using *67 to block called Id and entered all fake numbers when prompted. At the end of the message, they thanked me and said that my card was now activated!

Received a TEXT from this number at quarter to 10 on a Saturday night: "Suncoast Schools FCU alert. Call customer service: 1-813-217-5090 to hear it" . That appears to be the calling number as well. I have nothing to do with Suncoast Schools Federal Credit Union, if that's who this is pretending to be. I have no intention of calling back.
