Robert Mahlburg at the Florida Attorney General Office, writes
"We have an ongoing investigation into this firm. We have received a number of complaints against it. Requesting a "charge back" from your credit card company often can be a good idea to pursue to try to recover your money. Be sure and tell their fraud section that there is an active investigation into this company by the Florida Attorney General. Be aware that the company operates under many other names and often changes their name."

That, my friends, tells it all.

GSA Applications/ Federal Verficiations and their 300+ names are at it again- The just hired back a former employee named Cindy Bertoli that left there and is now back again. Watch for her as Cindy Holman too.
Check on FDI and any other companies with her name. You have been warned!

I responded to an ad in the Tampa Bay Times and was contacted by a woman who wanted to set up a time to interview me for a sales position.   When calling back her number, there was no company name mentioned; also, she's never available to answer her phone.

Also, each month they have a new name so this tells you something and they use a professional organization to remove ALL bad press about them.  Also, they use their employees to try and recant any negative feeds such as this one.

Yes! There is a company in the Oldsmar, Tampa, Florida area and surrounding areas as they change their name and move to other Florida locations. BEWARE, unfortunately of any of those companies in that area. Now they have changed their name about 10 times! GSA Services, GSA 1000, GSA Schedule Services, etc. They are also in a few other states. They have been and may still be investigated by the Florida Attorney General. Go to www.ripoffreport.com and do a search under: GSA Services, GSA 1000, and a few other names and you will see their history. Do a few checks on this website as there are a few entries about this company. Below is only one of them.

http://www.ripoffreport.com/r/gsa-application-services/oldsmar-florida-/gsa-application-services-fema-today-gsa-1000-gsa-preview-gsa-application-services-is-sca-713454

Contact the Florida Attorney General and ask to speak with Bob Mahlburg 813-287-7950 or Robert.Mahlburg@myfloridalegal.com

He was the original person investigating the company. Also do an internet search under: "Florida Attorney General investigating GSA Application Services". Im sure their name has changed since then; it changes frequently!

I know as i was bilked by them!

actually im in litigation right now with the state of flordia over having an exemption without license and still got a cease and desist letter, so someone please tell me how this works, i spoke to marcus smith and mr dietrich at the state department, and they tell me two different stories when i question them the tell me they cant comment on certian questions, so if the state department cant tell me info i need who can? their inestigators give different responses than the state department, so I think the Attornny General should get involved, which I've submitted already, im writing this in hopes someone cares or someone has run into situations like I have.
A company should not have to be licensed to contact their own customers to confirm appointments!!!!!!!!

Complaint Category: Failure to honor refund, exchange or credit policies

Complaint: Within the contract it states the process for reuqesting and cancelling a contract. Therefore the company will not honor these promises if requested.
On June 6, 2011 our company was contacted via phone from GSA Applications. A sales representative from this company spoke with the CEO of our company. Robin agreed to review over the company's contract. The initial application was faxed to our office on 6/11/12 and approve was received from GSA as being qualified for their services on 06/11/12 at 10:01am Therefore when we received the initial application within the letterhead it listed the companies name as Fed Gov Consultant in Greenville, South Carolina. On 06/14/12 ************* contacted from additional information to complete the application. On 06/12/12 our credit card was charged in the amount of $6,750.00 for their services, but the application process had not been completed. On 07/05/12 ************* contact ********** to request additional information to complete the application. Therefore at this point our application is still not completed. Please note this information for documentation that was received at a later date from ****** ****** with GSA Applications. On 07/12/12 our credit card was charged again with a charge in the amount of $195.00. Following the charges on our company credit card we have not heard any correspondence back from GSA Applications. On 07/26/12 I contacted******** with GSA Applications to request for a copy of our receipts regarding the charges.

On 06/14/12 ************* emailed ********** our CEO to thank him for filling out and submitting our company's special identification numbers. Within the first couple of weeks the CEO of our company ********** submitted a cancellation notice to ************* via email. When I requested for a copy of a receipt on 07/26/12 from********, she stated a request had been submitted to cancel our contract. On 08/13/12 I contacted******************* to follow up on the cancellation and a copy of the receipt. On 08/17/12 she emailed a copy of the receipts, but included no information regarding the cancellation. On 09/13/12 I contacted******* ****** regarding the cancellation with GSA Applications. On 09/14/12 she did email me back again with what had to be re-submitted regarding the cancellation. This information was emailed to her on 09/18/12 and still have not heard back from the re-submission of the cancellation.

On 11/01/12 and 11/02/12 I left messages for Ms. ******. On 11/05/12 I emailed Ms. ****** regarding the cancellation and she stated that she would prepare the paperwork and submit it. This was over five months after the original cancellation had been submitted. On November 12 we received a letter that was dated 11/05/12 from a ****** ****** regarding the cancellation of our agreement. He stated within the agreement that ''Our agreement does not contain a provision permitting cancellation; therefore, we would like to complete and file a GSA application on your behalf as agreed.'' Therefore within the original contract it states, ''At any time prior to submission, client may cancel the GSA application process.'' In addition it states ''Any request for a refund, in full or in part, must be submitted in writing and specify in detail the specific reason(s) for any such request. '' Therefore the cancellation was submitted in writing not once but twice on company letterhead to GSA Applications. We have followed every step necessary to obtain a portion of our monies paid to GSA Applications. We are in great need of these monies to be used in other areas of our manufacturing plant. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

We are requesting for a refund of our original $6750.00 paid to the company. We see the company as a scam, because when calling them directly you are never officially able to speak with someone directly within the office. It is as if they have taken our money and ran. Legally within the binding contract we have followed every step to request for a refund. We are requesting a settlement from the company for a refund of our companys initial payment.

I have been working with them for months. they have been giving me the run around and cannot even tell where they are submitting my information too. The processor actually got pissed at me asking simple calm questions. they guarantee contract with gsa but gsa is hundreds of offices and agencies. They will tell you one second they are listing your services next they are gaining you a contract. This is not legal not moral. My boss didnt know what he was getting in to. RUN! it is a scam. These people should be in jail. RESEARCH first please do not waste your time like i have. I know 7433847 times about government contracts than these so called processors and im learning. please take advantage of gsa.gov and its links and do it yourself.

It saddens me that people would take jobs here. I didnt want to believe it was a scam bc my boss alrady hired them but its horrible and cant be denied.

This company only accepts credit cards for various reasons.  It is a quick transaction into their account, plus they can tell you ?we won?t charge you? then turn around and charge you without knowing ? or you will painfully find out the hard way.  Don't anticipate a refund if charged.

This company operates under so many names it would take me at least 2 ? 4 hours to list all their DBAs.  They have people working remote in their own homes, with the internal IT Department creating websites, email hosting, fax numbers, and applications ? so they can ?try? and throw off the trail of the following individuals investigating this company:

Wow. Right on the money. Everything you just stated is a true fact. I know John. (I worked there) No he does not make 280K) maybe, and I mean maybe 26K.  I was happy to read your post. I worked on commisions back in the day when they were Countryside. I started at 18%, then they would bring me down every week, until I was at 6%. I took a good look around, and I did not like what I seen. I was there for 4 months. I walked out. Ripping people off is the soul factor.
Glad to see you went further with your investigation. Every fact you have shared is true.
I hope they close the doors very soon on this guy. I don't know what's keeping the attorney general on this case for as long as it's been. I'm amazed the place is still open. From what I hear from my inside source, he is letting most of his staff go by firing them. There is little to zero work..... good for you, knowing to walk away.....

It is all a scam.  I give them a month at the longest. Jim and his sister, Pam run the place. But they both show as "not owners."  The lawyer that is on GSP premises, is a joke within itself.  I have a inside contact that has been with Jim for 8 or 9 years. They steal, and are a so called middleman for small contractors and the government. Short of story. They have nothing to do w/the gov't. Once this place closes, Jim will come up with another name for a busiess, move to a new location, and once again rip the public off.  Jail time, this man needs to get.
Been jailed prior. That is way his name is not on any paperwork.

Know someone who works currently at GSP Oldsmar. It's all a scam. Jim the owner, doesn't have the company in his name. (for reasons, you can only guess) He operated CountrySide Publishing several years back under his x-wife's name.
Huge rip off on contractors. The place is getting ready to fold. The person I know, said he is letting people go like flies.
Jim, does nothing but live off of people who don't know any better. Jim needs to be kept behind bars for a long time.....

(I worked for this company, back when it was Countryside) The entire process is upside down. A very troubled business, if that is what you what to call it.)  Scan, scan, scan....

looks like your house of cards is falling down. According to the news, you are the slimeballs everyone has said you are. Did employees make 293 complaints, does a Congresswoman get involved because of some disgruntled employees. I guess you should be more worried about when the Feds are going to start seizing documents and property.
