Maybe you and your manager need to attend training in HOW TO HANG UP THE DAMN PHONE. Or are you afraid of being "rude" to crooks like this?

Geez.

Called my work, did the whole "I am wondering if you can help" me line and then acting like they forgot the name of the "guy who is in charge of maintenance". I transferred her to my manager because frankly I am so sick of answering these types of calls and I didn't want to deal with her. I heard my manager trying to get her off the phone but apparently the caller was being just too damn persistent. Whatever people.

The sales personnel are really RUDE.  I am the Maintenance Manager for our company and a sales person called and asked the receptionist to speak with me.  Our receptionist transferred him to my office number, but I was not at my desk.  The sales person did not leave a message on my office phone, but called the receptionist right back and asked to speak with me.  She told him I was either busy on the production floor or in a meeting if I did not answer my desk phone.  He then told the receptionist..."then page him".

This ompany is so rude, I will never, never, ever, ever purchase anything from them!!!  They have no respect for people!

A person by the name of "Bob" called me.  He acted as if I knew him and had done business with him before.

Dishonest cold callers earns my dial tone.  No way I'm doing business with a company who has to sleaze their way into my good graces and hard earned money.

Very Very rude, telling our buisness that we called you when I know for a fact we never called you.  Very hateful on the phone, our buisness is in KY and we have one person in our warehouse that does most of our repairs and would never call you.  You were very rude and told me over and over that he did call you and left a message but you didn't even know his name???? Don't call a buisness and lie.  And then get rude with the person answering the phone.  That will get you no where.  Your buisness should be investigated and I will be reporting you.  You have been calling and harrassing our company for weeks now.  Very annoying we have buisness to conduct and you interupt that.

I've gotten two very rude calls from these people. After the second call and the guy abruptly hanging up, I called back to tell the woman who answered to remove our number from their call list. She claimed she would hand it off to her sales manager to remove the number. We'll see in a week.

Do not give these people anyone's name over the phone or they will continue to call.

You need to train your inside sales people.  The one that just called me refused to identify herself but insisted I give her information on my company.  Your people are either poorly trained, or are very limited, or are simply working for dopes that do not care who they bother or how.  Do not call again please.

Do not give these people anyone's name. Usually when anyone calls with this kind of request  "I need to talk with your (blank) person, I forgot his name"  I tell them I am not allowed to give out that information and ask for their name and company. I do check with my manager, make sure that no contact has been made to that company, relay that to the caller, and DO NOT give over to voicemail as this will give them access to a person's name.

Agree with all the previous posters: Very RUDE.

My call went something like this :

Me: Hello, may I help you?
Caller: May I speak to (my boss)?
Me: He is not here, may I take a message?
Caller: Give me his cell phone number.
Me: Sir, I can take a message.
Caller: I heard you the first time, what's his cell number?
Me: I am not giving you that.
Caller: HUNG UP.

REALLY??? Now that I think about it, we had a call last week asking for our maintenance guy from another very rude person...I did not talk to this one, but probably was the same place and rude person.

Just recieved a suspicious call from this telephone number.  The caller was really pushy and came across as rude:

Caller:  I'm hoping you can help me, what's the name of the maintenance guy there?

Me:  I'm not sure what you mean.

Caller:  You know, the maintenance guy over there at XXXX (our street address)

Me: Who is this

Caller:  Tom, and I need the name of the guy who does maintenance over there at XXX (our street address)

Me:  I don't know who you are Tom

Caller Tom: I'm Tom, the lighting guy

Me:  We don't have a lighting guy

Caller Tom: Ok, well what's the guys name

Me:  I have no idea who you are so I won't be sharing that information with you

Caller Tom: Ok, well thank you

Then he hung up.

Then less than a minute later another call from the same number.  They hung up on me when I answered.

Using these sorts of "phishing" tactics trying to gain information about our company never work.

Someone called saying they were "our lighting guy" ...I told him that could not be because I do not have a "lighting guy". Was rude and quickly said, "okay I'll call him on the other line" and hung up. I called back and spoke with a manager who was very nice and apologized and listed me on the Do Not Call List. We will see if that works.

These people call all the time---I have asked to be removed from their list that we are not interested---and the line "I will just call him on his cell phone".  Really people.  How could you work for a company that is so unethical?

I have asked multiple times to be removed from you calling list, but usually on of your "inside sales representatives" has hung up on me before I can finish the sentence.  I agree with what the other posters have said, David in particular is very rude.

These sales people are VERY DEMANDING.  A salesman named David keeps calling demanding for me to page my boss.  I refuse and he just keeps being agressive.  I put him on hold and left him there until he hung up.

My company is in Fayetteville, NC but I am from the Tampa area so was curious when I saw the area code pop up.

Caller : "need to speak to who does your maintenance"
Me: Ma'am maintenance for what? (Side note we do web site hosting & maintenance). What company are you calling from.
Caller : Commercial and calling for ARC Design.
Me: Ma'am that company has been close for 2 year and clients were purchased by us.
Caller: (kinda rude) Well thanks. *Hung up*

You all need to be a little bit more forth coming if this is how you think you are going to get business.

(borrowed from "Kelli" above) Your inside sales people need to stop calling the same companies with the "I am wondering if you could help me" line pretending to have forgotten the name of "the guy in maintenance..who is that again?".  They have called my company countless times and still have the same line.

This is a sales call and we have never done business with this company. Sales person refused to leave message or call back number. Legitimate business practice is to leave message and call back number for verification purposes if nothing else. When companies call and refuse to give out this information, in this day and age of scammers, you will automatically listed as a "scammer". Whether legitimate or not. Also recommend stating your company's name clearly would be recommended.

David called asking to speak to our office manager.  When I asked what the call was regarding, he said "your lights", I asked for more info but he was very vague, not to mention right off the bat he had a rude tone to his voice, like he was doing me a favor.  I asked which lights he had sold to my company, and he said he needed a part number.  He insisted it wasn't a sales call, I beg to differ, for what other reason reason would he need a part number?
