Got a call from 815-556-2800.  They want me to answer questions about the water quality in my town. Don't know what they want to sell but I am sure it is something costly.

Yeah..I'm sure that will work. Dumb A**.

rec'd more than one call from this number, no messages ever, i never pick up numbers that look like telemarketers or numbers i don't know - if it's a friend they know to leave a message.  Thanks for leaving info everyone else, i know now not to pick up this call, what a bunch of d-bags, i get too many of these calls these days.

I continue to get calls from this number. When I answer they do not respond, then shortly after they hang up. If I let the answering machine pick up, they do not leave a message. Very frustrating!

Caller left a message stating  f""" you. Ialso got the same message at work. Creepy.

I received a call from 815-556-2800. After  4-5 seconds of no response, I repeated "Hello?"  I could hear another person breathing on the other end, although there was no reply.  This is not the first time I have been called and ignored by this number.  So, I hung up and called the number back.  A recording announced, "The person at extension 101 is unavailable.  Please leave your message after the tone... "  

Next I got online to look up reports regarding the phone number, and since others have posted  comments warning others, I decided to also leave a comment.

When I receive a questionable call more than once from the same number in which someone does not respond after I have answered, I wonder if there is a chance that the caller is discerning when a resident is at home or not.  I realize that many people who have answered a call from this number are asked to participate in a seemingly harmless water survey.  Whether the caller from this number asks a few water questions or ignores the recipient, it seems clear that this calls from this number should be avoided.

This number has called here twice today. I tried calling it back, but it states that their mailbox is full. They don't say anything, so I just talk into the phone and ask them to stop calling here. It hasn't worked yet :(

Call from some place called Plainfield, IL? I don't know anyone from IL. They didn't say anything when I answered anyhow. They called before without leaving a message.

Same thing just happened to me.
