I just got a call from this number also.  They didn't leave a message either.  After reading Mike's message, of July 1, 2010, where they stated they were from Clean Energy Works it reminded me that yesterday, there was a young person, at my door, doing an "environmental study".  In order to enter their sweepstakes, for $1000, for answering the questions, about 5, she asked for my first name and phone number which, I reluctantly gave her.
The card she left was from T&T Hyla, Inc.  In looking that business up, I found it sells vaccum cleaners which use water and are supposed to clean the environment better.  I am thinking these are calls from salespersons, especially since the one asked for Mike's wife by her first name, which is what the lead person, yesterday, asked me for.

I'm getting calls from these clowns now. Since they can't leave a message on my answering machine, I consider it an unimportant call and do not call back. If they can't leave a message, it's trivial.

and if he called from 'the courthouse' it makes sense. these
scumbags use diabolical tactics. I received two calls today
from 816-423-2799 and simply did not answer.

The person has called our office 5 times asking if we are interested in the photoshop society. We tell them no. They keep calling. Apparently, this is a fake number.

Received two calls from 816-423-2799 today.  First one went to answering machine, with no message left.  Second call was answered by me.  After 3 seconds the line came live, and after I said "Hello?" for the 3rd time, a man answered asking to speak with my wife, identifying her by first name only.  I advised that she was not available, and he responded "I am from Clean Energy Works, thank you," and disconnected the line.

This just started --- when a friend calls from her house phone, my caller id shows Transcom Inc 816-423-2799.  She actually has her cable, internet & house phone with a  Time-Warner bundle.  Weird

I received a call from this number today shortly after 8am. The man left a message saying he was from  the local courthouse but did not leave a complete return number. I called the number back from the caller ID-816-423-2799, Transcom, Inc., but a recording said the number is not in service? I spent all morning calling different departments in the courthouse and nobody seemed to know anything. What is going on here and why are people allowed to make calls like this? something needs to be done!

Ths call came in at 1:44PM on May 3rd, 2010. When answered phone it hung up and when I called that number recording said this number is out of service. Someone is playing games.

I would love to know why this number keeps calling (816-423-2799).  Does anyone know why they waste their time?

Are they casing the place or just idiots with nothing better in life to do than this?  They just call and when you try to pick up it just goes dead. When you call back..the number isn't in service???!!!
