I keep getting weekly calls on my 1-800 from this number 817-285-0587. When I answer it, it is a fax machine. CID says it is from  Tru Lists. How do I get this to stop?

When I answered I got a dialing tone and then a fax dialing tone so I
hung up.

they sell direct mail lists- problem is they call our 800 number so they use our money to try to sell their products to us- tacky,stupid was to conduct business. Have all of 2 employees!

These people suck!!

We HAD been getting calls from caller id "LISTS TRU" but had not seen any lately.  Then I realized that I got two calls today from them but the caller id no longer says LISTS TRU but only has their phone number, which today's phone numbers are 855-246-9650 and 817-282-0584.

Received a call from the today to my 800 number.  It went to my voicemail and it sounded like fax machine noises.  Good to see all the good information because when I did a reverse look up all I saw was List Tru in Hurst TX.

phone rings, shows LISTS TRU, AND THEN A HANG UP AFTER YOU ANSWER

I would really like to know how to get off of their auto dialing list.  Who do we complain to? Anyone been successful at getting off of the list?

Have been getting phone calls from this company listed on caller ID as "Lists TRU".  These calls come several different phone numbers each day.  I understand this is a phony company out of Texas.  
These calls are coming into a legitimate business and they need to be stopped.  When answered, the sound on the other end is that of a fax machine.  
We tried to call the numbers, but there never anyone on the other end, a machine picks up and then there are several type noices on the other end.
How do we get these calls to stop?

I called the FTC and made a complaint.  The phone number is: 877-382-4357.  If enough of us file complaints with them, maybe they'll actually do something.

I am going to call the Oregon Attorney General's Office.  Apparently they can fine the company up to $25,000.  I hope they do!!
 If anyone has any way else to stop these people please let me know.

RANDOM NUMBERS FROM THE AREA CODE AND POREFIX KEEPS CALLING AND SOUNDS LIKE A FAX

Got another call from Tru Lists.  They used 817-285-0981.   Our multiple phone lines are on the do not call list but Tru Lists obviously does not care. If anyone know how I can stop their calls please let me know.

These people are really becoming a royal pain. They call my 800 # and when I block that number, they pop up calling from another number. Seems to be a fax calling me, though previously there have been automated recorded messages left on my VM.

I continue to get calls from these people also. When I do not answer they actually tell my cell phone to page me, so I get a page notification.

they just call our 800 #s.  We have about 8 of them.  Of course, we all end up paying for their ''marketing''

I will forward the number to my fathers fax machine, set the trap up this week, and when I receive the faxes, I will petition the court to file suit under the Federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act of 1991! $1500 for each fax!

I am getting about 4 to 10 calls per week from these people.  They are an advertising outfit that buy lists with peoples names, addresses and phone numbers and then sell them to other businesses or groups for mailings, emails or what ever the target may be.

Luckily these waste of time callers have my google number, not my cell phone. I just go to g-voice and block the number. end of problem.

That is worthless, they adore these scum. Get www.callcentric.com and block the whole 817 area code.  Problem sovled!!!

Really, your police department actually works and takes police reports against teleterrorists?  The worthless Austin Police won't do it unless you are a business per Mitt Romney's Orders.  It is one of the reasons why Chief Acevado needs to resign, and Leffingwell needs to be voted OUT!!!

Okay, so, here is a 'resolution' to the annoying calls we have all been getting:
1.  contact AT&T and complain, since the numbers belong to them
2.  go to www.donotcall.gov and register
3.  if you use AT&T and have been receiving calls on your at&t line, go to att.com/acb and file a report
