Listen, caller ID is useless anymore because the government allows phone soliciting by companies that change their caller ID to what ever they want it to be. Someone did that to one of my businesses and we had to disconnect the number due to the amount of people calling back. So whatever number shows it is not likely them calling but someone hijacking their number with an auto-dialer to spoof you. If a company wanted to make it huge they would figure out how to get to the real caller.

keep in mind that some shady scam artists spoof their telephone id numbers to conceal their identities. When you back-track you get a legitimate company that has no record of you.

You should be embarrassed to be connected to them. Worst service I've experienced.
Jeff 2014-03-20 21:04:56 Unknown
Very unprofessional. Failed many times to provide tow. Sent truck to wrong city. Sent wrong truck. I was on the phone with them many many many times wasting hours and they continue to fail. 28 hours later, still no tow.
Do you want anything to do with this company?

Pep Boy's tow. Very unprofessional. Failed many times to provide tow. Sent truck to wrong city. Sent wrong type of truck. I was on the phone with them many many times and they continued to fail. 28 hours later, still no tow.

This number has called me non stop for half an hour. I didn't answer since I didn't know the number and continued to ignore the call since I saw the posts here. I finally received a voicemail from someone named Julie frantically saying she had been trying to reach me and she was from All State Road Side Assistance. She had a spare tire for me and it was with a man in Lewisburg PA. However, I do not live near that area, did not require any toad side assistance, and I don't have insurance through All State. Suspicious.

I got this call 2 nights in a row at 4:00 AM. They are looking for A tow for A roadside assistance program for their customer. They don't care who they wake up.I don't do service for motor clubs because they don't pay. I have requested they not call me and they continue to call. This company supports Verizon roadside assistance,Allstate Motor club,Signature Motor Club and many others. They say they can't list my number not to be called. My next step is to drop Verizon as my phone carrier if something can't be done. One pissed off tow man"King of The Ditch"

It's 2:17 am, and I just got a call from this number. Wrong number or not, I have a Hawaii area code which means I am 5 hours behind you. So rude and unacceptable. How can we get our numbers taken off this list?

I run a mobile repair service in NJ. I was under a car and missed a call from the above number (Texas).?? They left no message. My work number forwards directly to my cell phone. Don't know who it was, but if they needed help, they should have left a message. Probably a company trying to recruit business, or a scam that scans new business listings

Called me 8 times in 2 days, never leaves a message.

This an actual call center. I work there. It's AllState roadside assistance partnered with Avis and budget rental car company. We call looking for our customers who setup services with us and sometimes we have the wrong number depending on what is typed in.

There is no way this is a legitimate business number.
I was in a wreck this weekend, and yesterday someone approached the tow yard where my wrecked car was stored claiming to be Gerber Body Shop in Naperville (on Ogden Ave.). Evidently the tow yard I used had had problems with them claiming cards that they weren't authorized to perform work on, because he required written consent to release cars to Gerber Body Shop for that reason (no other body shops).
After he had told them he was not going to release my car to them, I received a phone call from this number claiming to be the Emergency Roadside Center telling me that the lot was "filling up" and it was going to "cost me a lot of money to store [my car] there".
They provided me with the phone number and name of the owner of where my car had been towed to, and instructed me to provide written consent to release my car.
I followed up with Don, the owner of NAR Towing (who seems like a very stand-up guy) who then told me about his policies ragarding Gerber. I followed up with both Allstate (my insurance company) and State Farm (company of the other drive), and neither had any knowledge of requesting service from Gerber. The prior day I had already arranged to have my car picked up by Sterling auto body, who I've used before.
Very, very shady.

This is a legitimate road side assistance company calling to see whether your auto/moto assistance had happened as scheduled. IE: Did the tow truck show up, did the guy come to jump your battery, did someone bring you gas, etc.
I have a Genuine scooter, and this is the number that calls me back when I request road side assistance of any kind. Just FYI.

I work in the office of a Marine and R.V. repair shop. I got a call from a lady saying a couple broke down, gave me the route number and mile marker. I asked what town they were near and if they needed us to go out to them. I got a run around when finally they told me they were taking the motor home here to the shop. They called back a few minutes later to confirm that the couple was on their way.
Nothing, several hours later nothing. We are only 30 minutes from where they supposed breakdown was. Nothing.
This number sounds fishy, and weird, and just out right strange.
Have I meantioned I am in NJ, what is a number from TX doing calling a shop in New Jersey.

Received call from 817-355-3405 informing me they were with Allstates Roadside assistance program. Still it sounded fishy. The accident was two days ago and the vehicle has already been towed. They wanted to know the extent of the damage to the vehicle.

and DUH..... I really liked your message about just answer it. I'll look up a number first before next time just answering it because some numbers are known to be linked to certain scams. If it's legit then you should be able to call it back and get a human during regular business hours. If you don't or it's always a VM you get and the company isn't coming up from your search of the number somethings not right about it.
HANYAK 2012-07-28 05:45:35 Unknown
well DUH! you think? But sometimes phones ring and ring and ring and never get answered or vm offered with a name. and sometimes it's answered and you know it's not legit whatever it is you're told it is. sometimes you call and it's a verizon customer but a non working number other people are somehow cloning for any number of reasons....whatever it is it's creepy. and my advice is to call verizon and tell them...... and report it
kim 2012-07-28 05:36:23 Prank Call
i thought too that it was a call from verizons bad roadside assistance program. i love verizon wireless they have the best customer service by far over any other cell service provider- but their 3.00 a month coverage sucks totally and they should stick to what they do best and that's home & cell phone service. But if you call verizon they'll tell you their numbers for road side assistance and they'll tell you who was dispatched out and it isn't this number for verizons roadside assistance. Now I was thinking it was the actual tow service provider but Verizon gave me the company and I called them and it wasn't any of their numbers. I think someone is taking advantage of verizon and using this on verizons behalf. I don't get it and it doesn't make sense what they gaining from it. But I then again I'm not shady........ I did let verizon know about this number two days ago... which was calling my cell phone 4 hours after I got home from my very long night needing help with my car AND TODAY I SEE CALLS FROM IT TOO I MISSED. I CALLED THE NUMBER BUT IT SAID IT WAS A VERIZON WIRELESS NON WORKING NUMBER. I WILL CALL THEM AGAIN TOMORROW WITH THE LATEST.

Two incoming calls within minutes. I didn't hear first when near enough to reach phone, and didn't answer second.
Call leaves no message, but timing was within half hour of completed road assistance. I dialed this number, and greeting identifies as roadside service, but only suggests I call for service using "your" (my) usual road service request number.
So I can't give feedback.

After using the Good Hands Roadside Assistance road service at 800-255-7828, this is advertised as a way for everyone to get service at contracted rates on a per call payment basis; I had a flat tire and then called them to change it for $50. I provided a credit card number and authorization to bill the $50 charge for changing the tire and I received the service.
After not taking two calls from 817-355-3405, I received a call purporting to be the service provider at 469-645-6080. Calling this number back goes to an message saying: "This is Chloe at Inman's Auto Rescue, sorry I am not available. Please leave a message and have a wonderful day."
A check of this number shows it to be either in Lewisville TX or possibly a trunk line to India through Tata Telecom. Not sure which.
Anyway a woman who purported to be checking on my service call from Auto Rescue at 469-645-6080 called and said that I did not have a spare available when the driver arrived and had to wait for my wife.
This was not entirely true. Allstate Good Hands Roadside Assistance quoted a 25 minute arrival time which I agreed to because my wife was 10 mins away with the full size spare - I had only a compact spare in my trunk and preferred the full size to get to work tomorrow. Anyway I corrected her story and she gave some fishy story how I needed to close the line and wait for her Customer Service to call me.
I closed the line, redialed the odd Euless TX number 817-355-3405 and heard the message: "Emergency Road Side Center" to request service please use the number on your policy papers. Click.
OK so this time I took the call and the man asked if the service was performed and I said yes. He then gave the spiel about having to wait for my wife and the charge for service is $59.95. I didn't really know who he was, he never identified himself as being affiliated with Allstate's service.
I first corrected his story and said that the driver did not indicate any additional charges and that I gave the driver the option - since he arrived the second I got off the phone with Allstate's service instead of in 25 minutes as quoted - to either use the compact spare or wait for my wife who was on her way. The driver agreed to wait and did not request any additional charge.
So the guy says correct the charges are $50 not $59.95. Then he asks for a credit card which I refused to provide stating that the care was validated by the Allstate Good Hands Roadside Service and I was certain the card had already been charged $50 - which it has.
Again, I believe this guy was in India not Texas. He claimed he needed the card to verify that the funds were in the account. I said no way since I paid Allstate and had no idea who these people are that are calling me.
So someone has a bad leak in their data security - either the Service Provider or All State as no one could have had my cell phone number and rough service details without hacking into somewhere.
Beware and be careful! Never give out data to someone you do not know!

This is the Auto Club or Roadside Assistance calling back to make sure your needed service was completed. We had got locked out of our BUDGET RENTAL in the middle of the night. They tried 21 different companies to get us service which is excellent service that was completed before they called back.
This company is the insurance carrier that sells Auto Club policies or Roadside Assistance policies under MULTIPLE names, but only this Insurance Company covers around 90% of the policies.

Here's a new idea, answer the call and ask. Answering the phone has worked for me for years and I don't have to waste time searching the internet to find out whose call I missed.
