Just got a call on my cell with the same number for Dish Network.  I plan on calling my cell phone provider, Dishnetwork as well as the FCC for internet and phone scams.  I suggest everyone do the same.  Somehow they have to be able to get the information and prosecute to the fullest extent of the law.  I'm on a Do Not Call Registry.

car warrantee:  when you call it back it says "either the number you have dialed is a non working number or the number dialed incorrectly..."  so there you have it.

I've been getting these "Warranty About to Expire!!" calls on my cell-phone for a good 8 months. Each time I look up the number, it ends up being some person's old, non-working home number in some random part of the country.

Call warranty junk call. I kept asking who they were, which company they were with and couldn't get a firm answer. Kept saying, "we're with warranty services."

"My car is 14 years old. Why the hell are you calling me?"
"Well, whats the make and model of your car?"
"How did you get this number?"
"I don't know -- you pressed 1 and my phone rang so I picked it up."
"Is there a manager or supervisor there I can talk to?"
"Oh well yes sir I am a manager and a supervisor." (Supermanager?)
"Great. Can you remove me from whatever list you have?"
"Sure sir, no problem. Have a good day."
CLICK.

If you put up a fight and request why they are calling, how they got your number, and that you want to talk to a supervisor, you can ask to be removed from their list. Just ask for it straight up.

They called me once and told me my car warranty was going to expire.  The next time they called me it was the same thing.  The third time they called me I didn't answer and they left me a voicemail.  And then they did it again and left me another voicemail!

I've gotten the same crap concerning the warranty on my car, allegedly. This same g*dd*mned recording on my cell on the average of every 7-10 days for the last 6 months! Who knows HOW these scammers get the numbers, do they have people on the inside of the cell phone companies?  Whatever is going on is a fairly elaborate operation, I dare say.

These SOBs use/probably spoof multiple source numbers, too, even different area codes, but the recording is the same -- "The warranty on your vehicle is about to expire..." That's about the time I hang up.

You know what, it appears that these scammers are attacking cell phone numbers.  Would it be possible to assume that it's our very own cell phone company selling our numbers to these low-lifes, they maybe posing as a company when they're not.  I mean yeah we all know that the our cell companies SAYS they don't sell our information, but looking back over the years, and all of the complaints, even on my company sell phone I get these calls that my car warranty is about to expire. I can't help but to think the root cause is our cell phone companies selling our numbers to other "people" portraying as companies. I'm not saying that this IS the issue and maybe I'm completely wrong maybe it's just coincidence but when I see 1 + 1 it equals 2 to me. I don't know. what do you guys think? At first I thought it was just with AT&T which is who I'm with but my company uses Sprint (unfortunately) and I've received those calls as well still. Maybe I'm just KU KU for Cocoa Puffs
