Thanks.
Same.
Glad I found this.
Doesn't texting back anything give them something to work with, though I share poster's sentiments below?

Text message from 334201@vtext.com ([TCFBank]) Call: 817-430-1037. 447913XXXXXXXXXXXAccnt Issue.
I am a Verizon Customer.

PS...it appears that these are initiated from your area code+your first 3 digits of cell number + @vtext.com.

Also Verizon customer. Definately phishing scam! Report to Verizon by forwarding to 7726 and follow their instructions. Regions Bank in my message which I don't bank @ and my bank sends only texts I ask them to from their secured site which are for my personal benefit. All other contact by them for any fraud activity comes to me by mail only and directing me to contact them through their legitimate phone numbers. Never, never, never call numbers that are sent by text about banking nor talk to people who call you saying they are from your bank wanting personal account information! Be very cautious about anything you have not initiated yourself and know who you are expecting a call back from...I won't even respond to Government Offices calling me, texting me or emailing me without my initiating the conversation first and knowing whom I am expecting to respond. Be safe people and always assume people are trying to get your important information!

I am a Verizon customer with repeated text message:

Legacy Texas Bank
Call 817-430-1037 Your
Attentions is Needed
Mis-spellings and all. Legacy Texas Bank has on their website not to respond, it is a scam, it is not the bank. How did Verizon information get out there?
| pepper 2013-05-10 22:22:12 Unknown |
it is a scam, they want your entire credit card number so they can drain it. Bank of America had all their clients accounts names and phone numbers hacked and it was a scam then, same thing someone got into the various bank firewalls and getting numbers and names with partial credit card numbers and want you to provide the rest...sorry for those who fall for this, as it can be alarming. Just call the named bank directly and they will tell you its a scan, just got called by Legacy Texas Bank. its a scam.
