These people are crafty. They keep calling from different numbers (e.g private) than the one used initially (the one cited above). They claim we have a car loan and it's past due. We don't and when pressed about why they're calling they want more information from us. It's very annoying. We're checking our credit just in case there's identity theft afoot. I wish there was something more to be done about the nuisance calls.

I am on the East Coast.  This number begins calling me at 11am and calls every 5 minutes until MIDNIGHT!!!  If I answer, no one is there.  They do not leave a message, just let it ring over and over and call back five minutes later... Once I tried to turn off my phone, and accidentally picked it up instead... That 5 seconds before I hung up was charged at the international rate not the domestic long distance rate!!!  Ridiculous!

Keep getting phone calls from this number leaves no message and is quite annoying, I would suggest not answering I havent and do not plan too

Citi Financial Auto or some collections agency calling on behalf of Citi and regarding an older auto loan that was originally with Arcadia but was converted to Citi some time ago.

So, if it is Citi Financial Auto, why don't the leave a message and say so?  Is it that hard to leave a message?

It is Citi, and they will eventually leave messages- some automated with your name slipped in and some made by a live person but these calls will come from a different TX area code...

They call and harrass about a payment thats not even 30days late. Stating that they will report it to the credit bureau, when by law (FCRA)the payment has to be at least 30 days late before they can. They are rediculous and I will go on every website to discourage business with them.

I am getting calls 3 and 4 x a day..  then they hang up!!  No message!! and when I call the number back, it says all circuits are busy..  I want this number blocked.. It is ridiculous and rude, not to leave a message..

this is a University of Houston dept , they have a form might do some good if they are inundated with complaints.

I have had same issue. I called to discuss payment arrangements and the told me its unacceptable. My payment would be 28 days late but they did not care. The lady told me I am a low life and people like me is the reason The economy is in a recession. They are the rudist and most unprofessional company I have ever delt with. Citifinancial auto should be investigated for unprofessional conduct.

I am having the same problem with these guys. I lost my job and fell one payment behind. When I tell them I will give them extra each month to make up for it they get all pissed off and start getting rude with you. don't answer the phone and you won't have to deal with them.  and now the other day I ran my credit and they are trying to add another $6,000 on my loan for no reason

I've been called up to 11 times a day from these numbers and it's rediculous! I spoke with them in the beginning of Feb. explained that my payment would be late.  I provided dates and check #'s for promised payment. After receiving 8 calls in 4 hours I picked up and explained that I should not be called since they have a promised payment arranged. The lady was a rude B who told me no matter what I'm getting called until they are paid. I spoke with 8 people over 3 weeks giving them the same information-when I called and spoke with the mgr today I was told only ONE note was in the system and completely different then what I said. She tried giving me some story about how they aren't compensated if they don't put a note in the system--SAVE THESE CONTACT NAMES AND DATES! The write the wrong note and if you don't the one they enter your account gets a strike against it. THIS IS BS AND NEEDS TO BE CORRECTED! Oh yea, and did I mention---the manager was the ONLY one who spoke clear english.

i have my car loan through citifinancial auto and these guys are the worst! i have fallen behind twice, and they call non-stop. i tried to discuss the issues with them and i have explained my situation to countless people. they put nothing in the computer. they also insisted that i post-date an electronic check and when i do, i will still receive countless calls from other reps. they claim that they are on an automated system and that my name will continue to come up. then they will treat you like you're scum and insult you consistently. i have had to talk to countless supervisors due to rude and unethical behavior. and they wonder why people don't answer the phone!

By law no bill collector can call more than 3x's a day.  By law they have to have permission to call you on your cell phone (however, if you give them your cell phone number when you sign papers you gave them permission).  If they are calling and it the wrong number and they call more then 2x it can be considered harassment.  If they cross the line you immediately ask for a manager, supervisor.  Keep your cool.  Also it'll help if you have the collection laws handy, http://www.ago.state.co.us/cadc/PDF/cabrules.pdf is the site for the Colorado laws.  Be informed!!!  Find out your rights!  Each state is different so dig into it.

This number calls at least once per day. If it is CitiGroup Auto, they are wasting their time because I neither have dealt with them in the past nor do I have a loan with them now. As a matter of fact, my car has been paid off from day 1-used good old cash. I have not answered their calls but I have a feeling it is in reference to an account whose holder shares exactly the first and last name as me and lives up the street. These f**gots need to buzz off!

They have called my cell phone 5 x a day! Talk about persistent and you can't even talk to a live person either. There must be a law against there somewhere. This is outright harassment!

Called 817-835-3291 & informed rep that we're receiving 3-5 calls per day.  She pulled up my # & stated that it's linked with an active account & then transferred me to 866-687-7967.  Told that my # may be in their system because it's a clients old #, or someone gave them a fake #.  Requested my # be removed from calling list, was informed that they couldn't do that since I did not hold any account info other than the #, therefore they couldn't pull up or go into account & make note of incorrect #.  Insisted that rep before her was able to view account, so why couldn't she pull it up too & make a note that # linked with account is wrong.  I was told to wait until they call again & take care of it then.  NO, I said, take care of this NOW.  She claimed a note was put into system.  No less than 5 minutes later I was contacted by none other than 817-835-3297 & proceeded to blast rep on other end of the line & told him to rectify the problem.  He stated, "no problem", I'll just pull your # from the list.  We shall see how successful he was at doing such.  I also informed every rep that I was on 800notes.com & their are multiple complaints about calls from you company.  Hopefully this is the end, but if not, I'll let you know how I make out.

I don't even have a car and they call me, its really annoying.  I get calls from 803-835-2505 too, which is the number they call when you are late on car payments. I don't get it...

Just got the call from these a**les this morning @ 9am. Didn't recognize the number so I let the machine pick it up,,,,,,,,,,click. Must not be important. I added them to my "call block" list from the phone company which prevents the call from coming through.(extra fee)Wish I had the option on my cell phone. Unfortunatly I can only have a total of 5 numbers on the list. I need at least 15 for these idiots.

THIS IS A SCAM!!!!! I have never had an auto loan through this company and currently do not owe anything on any vehicle. They called twice today saying I was overdue and wanted to set up a electronic payment from one of my bank accounts. NOT A F#$KING CHANCE!!!
