I live in Atlanta, GA.  This number is registered in California.  Said he was looking for concrete subcontractors in my area.  Background sounded like a call center.  He told my receptionist he was looking for a company that could handle 'some more work', basically saying he had some leads for us.  His wording changed when he left me a message.

This is the third call I have received similar to this in the past month.  They seem to be a company that compiles a database of subcontractors.  General Contractor information is typically easier to find because of them being on a public bid list, but subcontractors are harder to find.

I don't like companies like this because they are deceiving.  Usually they claim they are a General Contractor (Company X), and are looking to build in 'your area'.  When they are confronted about being in a call center, they usually flounder.  Waste of time.
