A guy with an Indian accent called me at work stating that I commited a crime and that I owe money to the Sonic Bank.  Then asks me for my SSN#.  I did not give it to him but insted tried to get some information about his "company" and he did not want to say much but started to get nasty.  I manage to obtain his phone number and searched it.  It is an ID fraud.  Do not be scared it's a scam.  Call your authorities and FTC.

SAME THING.  BEGAN YESTERDAY,  CALLED MY WORK ( my work was already aware of a situation regarding my pers. info being stolen, so they could tell something was fake.  My co-worker just laughed & hung up on them )

they just called my mother at 7:00 in the morning!!!

I called them back & told them that Iam filing a police report, & that they are no longer allowed to call me.

He then screamed at me:  "  DO NOT CALL HERE ANYMORE, YOU ARE NOT ON MY LIST"

He Call Me Yesterday and Said I owe money and they wanted to make me a public example but he knew my ss#, where i bank, my address, also my friends name and my sister name. I did not know what he was talking about because I DID NOT HAVE ANY PAY DAY ADVANCES IN MY NAME AT ALL. Tell me what should i do now

he said the Company was CashNet and his name was Brad, later said he was a Law Firm

i got a call from this phone number. a guy with an indain accent, and he said i owed sonic cash some money. it is a scam.. its fraud.. don't be fooled

I received the same call. This guy had all my info. I called the police they said tell them your phone has a tracer on it. I closed my bank account. I'm putting a flag on my credit report just in case and a identity theft report with police. I was also told to call the Attorney General. His name was Brad and I owe cashnet! Told me to call him back and I could never get through!

This is a scam. After speaking with "Brad" I wrote to Sonic Cash (the ones they said I had a loan with) and they said:

"We're sorry to hear about the call you received.  There is a group of people who are calling from outside of the United States stating to be affiliated with Sonic Cash.  This group has no affiliation with our company, and you have no debt with them or us for that matter.  The tactics and threats they use, are to scare you into paying them,  which is an illegal tactic under the rules outlined in the F.D.C.P.A. (Fair Debt Collections Practices Act)  We ask that you report this phone call to Doug Zloto who is the Secret Service Agent from the Department of Homeland Security.  His phone number is 989-497-0580.  Again, we're sorry to hear you were contacted by these people, and please be assured they have no affiliation with our company.
