Got a call just like Jim from Texas...saying the same thing...I hung up...tried to call Wells Fargo but only got recordings...evidently they don't have real people working over the weekend.

Same thing.  I got a call from the same number with an automated message saying this was a call from Wells Fargo and due to fraudulent activity we have de-activated your debit card. Please press 1 to speak with rep. We don't have a Wells Fargo account so I hung up as well. I called Well Fargo at 1-800-869-3557 to report the call to their Fraud Department.  Probably not a lot they can do but at least it was the least I could do.

call wells fargo, yes, for peace of mind about your account's status. But you'll have to then go online & register this Phishing phone # there.

@@@ URGENT - READ THIS @@@ Unfortunately WE are the company whose phone number is being given out. Vanessa (as stated in other posts) works for me. We have NO IDEA how and/or why this number is being given out. This is a PRIVATE business having NOTHING to do with Wells Fargo, or credit cards, or ATM cards or anything like that. I am trying to get through to Wells Fargo's fraud department while I'm typing this message. This is a total pain in the a@@ for us b/c our phone won't stop ringing!  **** WE HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS ****.

I'm on with WELLS FARGO right now. One representative told me that this is indeed a FRAUD. Unfortunately however, they are they are calling US!!!  

Wells Fargo is apparently aware of this scam and they they are working on it.  They said they would "pass this information on..."  I told the Wells Fargo guy to get on this right away, and he said he did not have the authority to call employees at home to get them in to work on this. Ugh!

I went on to GOOGLE, and this is Wells Fargo's Fraud Control number:  800-642-4720. If enough people call WELLS FARGO, maybe they'll take this FRAUD more seriously.

same thing......must be scam to get your information

received a call from this number on my cell saying my debit card had been suspended from Wells Fargo......I have no debit card, and nothing with wells fargo. said to leave message !!!!

Just got a call from this number. Answered and was automated message saying Wells Fargo calling and due to fraudulent activity we have de-activated your debit card. Please press 1 to speak with rep. i don't have a Wells Fargo account.  I hung up.  Called the number back and got a voicemail saying you have reached the voicemail for Vanessa at Validate Myself. Please leave a message. Did a google search for "validate myself" and couldn't really find anything.

Unknown call, probably another botto-m-feeding telemarketer breaking the law by calling my celphone.
