Don't let these people drive you crazy!  Go straight to https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/FTC_Wizard.aspx?lang=en  Keep a record of every single time they call, including the number they called from, the number they want you to call back and the name they give you.  Most importantly, if you let it go to voice mail, keep a copy of that recording and every time they call, file another complaint - it only takes a minute - with each new complaint, give your reference numbers for your previous complaints.  Good luck and keep us posted how it goes and I will do the same!

I got a call at my place of employment form "kevin scott" saying that I have defaulted on a payday loan and that the local sheriff will be by to serve papers to "take me away" if i did not pay this. i told him this and all payday loans of mine were in a bankruptcy and to call my attorney. he said bankruptcy law has no bearing on this. i said yes it does. when i asked for compnay info from him i was told it was Patrick & Associates from Irvine, CA. google revealed no company in Irvine with this name. There was also a man named "randolph scott" who said the company he represents was American Payday who operates 300 payday loan sites. I called my local sheriff office who said this was a scam going around. i also called my bankruptcy attorney. I hope this camel jockey mofo gets what's coming to him!

I get a call on an 888 number I have for my business today, a number that isn't even linked to my name directly, but to a business name. The guy calls himself, "Jeff Johnson" or something and leaves a nasty message stating that I'd better call back or have my attorney call back immediately. If I don't call back, all he can do is wish me good luck.

I call the number, no clue as to who or what this company is. Someone answers with a "Hello" not a company name. Clue #1 Then a lady asks me for my phone number, I give her my personal number, she states that it is not coming up in the system. She asks me if that was the number I received the VM on, I say no, and expressed my confusion as to how or why they would call me on my business number. I then give her my 888 number, and she tells me it doesn't come up either. Clue #2 Next, ask her what the company was, and why they might be calling me. She advises me that they work on behalf of American Loan Company or something of that nature and they own 300 payday loan websites. She told me that I took out a loan and did not pay it back, now I will have to suffer the consequences and the Sheriff will come to my door and I will have a lot of legal troubles if I do not handle this matter.

I went on to explain to her that I have not taken out a payday loan and do not know what this company is, she interrupted me with a very rude "Way Back, ma'am, way back" I guess that her cultural equivalent to "hold on" or something. She continued to insist that I took out a loan and was responsible for paying it back...mind you, she still has not pulled up any of my information- exactly how is this information accurate? Clue # 3!

Eventually I went on to try to explain to her the voice message I received, and she cut in with a very warm and welcoming, "Are you deaf, ma'am, ma'am, are you deaf, are you deaf?" At this point, I'm burning with frustration, confusion, and couldn't help but release a, "B***h, what is your problem? You don't speak to people like that!" and hung up the phone.

Still unsatisfied with the original purpose of the call, I called back to obtain the name of the company to make a little Google and try to figure this all out myself.
The same person answered, the same way. I asked for the name of the company, she said that she would not give that information to me and stated something else I couldn't make out, something to do with having $1000 in my pocket- then she hung up.

I called back once more and she answered the phone, "TWC Lawfirm". I ended the call

I too am getting SEVERAL calls from this place and it's driving me crazy.  Thank you all for posting what info you could find out about them.  I've not had any luck getting any info on their company, only rude comments about sending the sheriff, jail, etc.  When they call, the caller ID on my cell shows up as "0000", so I don't answer and they just called TEN TIMES IN A ROW.  Finally a man named "Robin" left a voice mail that I needed to pick up the phone, I was in much legal trouble.  I did have a couple of payday loans out there YEARS AGO but filed bankruptcy on them back in 2009.  I've notified my attorney, who would gladly send a cease and desist letter if we knew where to send it.  He said to just ignore them, which is what I do but some days it's hard to ignore - after those TEN calls, I'm ready to BLOW UP.

Just found this on the FBI website - I'm going to try to log a complaint - may not do any good but worth a shot.  This harassment has to stop somewhere:
