I am getting e-mails identifying this phone number (678) 671-3000 and they say their company name is Legal Group  USA (collection.manager@legalgroupamerica.com).  They say that I owe $981.59 to Advance Cash America.  I know this is fraud but now they are reporting it to Recovery Collection Services.  They have gone this far and when I call the number only an answering machine picks up.  I don't know what to do now that they have taken it this far.  I have reported it to the Better Business Bureau but they have not information on this company.  I will continue to report to FBI but that doesn't seem to work either.  Now Recovery Collection Services (Ms Williams) is calling from phone # 800-478-5809.   These people will stop at nothing to get my money and I do not have any outstanding loans with payday company's.  If anybody knows how to handle this situation please respond

Is anybody getting strange calls from this number? They have called me and a friend of mine ranting about some law suit. I'm not being sued,neither is my friend. They go on to say that if the call is not returned immediatly a lawsuit will be filed againt us but they don't say what for. They don't explain anything about why they are calling, they just keeping threatning us. The call is definetly offshore......you can hardly understand a word the woman says.........Any help will be greatly appreciated.

My mom received a call ranting about a lawsuit against me. It was a foreign voice but she couldn't really understand the name of the caller. Can anyone shed any light on who this is?

I received a call on my business line from a Daniel White on my business line looking to speak with a past employer of ours.  He was VERY RUDE and souned Indian.  He would not tell me what the call was in regard to other than legal criminal matters in regard to the last four digits of her social security number.  He would not give me any information....BIG SCAM!  He then called back 5 minutes later and when asking him what company he was with he said United National Legal Department and this call was in regard to some serious criminal matters.  The person he is calling for is a Minister for crying out loud and they would never be involved with any criminal matters! LMAO!  Really, I mean come on!  People don't speak rude like this AS_H_OLE did!  Please, they need wake up!

THIS IS THE SECOND TIME MY MOTHER RECIEVED A CALL FROM THESE PEOPLE AT DIFFERENT NUMBERS. IVE INFORMED THE FBI OF THIS MATTER. I WOULD ADVISE ANYBODY ELSE WHO RECIEVES THESE CALLS TO DO THE SAME. THEY ARE FAKE. I TOLD THEM I HAD REPORTED THEM TO THE FBI AND NOW THE FIRST NUMBER IS DISCONNECTED LOL GO FIGURE.

These scammers called me 3 times today in 5 minutes and the last call went to my voicemail. The message they left is that it was time sensitive matter and that if they didn't hear back from me or my town that the only thing they could do is wish me good luck and some kind of curse on me (was inaudible). The guy said his name was Daniel Jones but he sounded like he was from India or Pakistan.  

The first time they called they said they were with the United Legal Department and if I didn't pay them immeditately, they said they were going to have me charged with fraud and have me arrested. Knowing that it was a scam I told them that I'd call the police. Te guy said that's fine, I'll call them as well on you. LOL.

This is a total scam, so don't give them any information or send them any money. These guys are calling me from different numbers and I too have called the FBI.

My daughter called me last week about this same clown who was using the name Mike Brady and telling her that if I put one step in the State of FL I would be arrested, for what I don't know. That call came from a Miami area code cell phone. This week she got another call from the same jack*** - Indian - camel jockey whatever the hell you want to call his rude a** and he proceeded to tell her I committed fraud. Also told her he was a paralegal, yeah that might wash with me. I have done collections for way too many years to know he is a scammer, but the question is where did he get his information. That is what I am trying to trace. I know I didn't do anything, and all he is doing is calling my daughter and harassing her and using up her minutes on her cell phone. My intention is to find this idiot and any information anyone can write would be helpful. My guess is they are using pre paid cell phones. I tried to call them back this morning (9/18/08) and couldn't get thru a recording kept repeating itself to put an extension # in and then would disconnect me since I didn't have one. As of 2pm this afternoon (9/18/08) that phone number was no longer in service. Go figure!

There has to be a link for everyone who has put a notice on here. What that is I don't know. Cell companies, loan companies, I suggest everyone keep a close watch of their bank accounts.

they called a friend of mine saying that i used her as a refrence and that if she didn't contact them it would screw up her credit. she said they claimed to be a realtor the funny think is i'm a mortgage broker. i called the number back and just got a recording and a voice mail.

I receive calls at work from a man with a heavy indian accent (very poor english) always claiming that I owe money on a loan I did not pay and I am going to be arrested today if I don't pay. He says he from United Legal Processing Division and he is an officer. Because he has my SS#, banking info, address I filed a report with my local police dept and also wrote into all 3 credit reporting agencies to flag my SS#. The police explained that it's scam, they somehow found my information off of the internet (of which I am on all the time), the police said if you answer and it's them just hang up, once they figure they can't extort money from you they will eventually leave you alone. The funny part is I was scared for a few days, but I am over it now and they have called me from several phone numbers, I also gave my company a copy of my police repot.

IT IS A SCAM. DO NOT GIVE THEM MONEY. I bet that most of you or someone you know has taken out a PAYDAY LOAN before. They are stealing your information off of these websites, as well as anyone you used as a referral. Monitor your credit and accounts carefully, they have your SOCIAL SECURITY numbers, DRIVERS LICENSE NUMBERS, AND BANK ACCOUNT NUMBERS. I urge you to close your accounts and open new ones, as we had several unauthorized charges on ours. They have been harassing myself, my husband and my family as well. ABC News did a news report on it and the attorney general's office in WV did a press release about this. Here are the links:
