Hi. My name is Nanette and I work at the company that owns this phone number. We make phone calls on behalf of automotive dealerships across the nation. We call customers for various reasons like customer service satisfaction inquiries, scheduling service for a dealer, etc. Dealers would like us to speak directly with the customer, so we make multiple attempts to reach the customer before leaving a message. If you would like to be removed from the calls, we can do that. Just call us at 818 725 2292.

I'm at the dealer getting my car serviced and while waiting i got a call from this number: 818-725-2292
and it was an automated voice calling about my warranty, and left a local number to call back.

Why in the hell would I have to unsubscribe from a list I NEVER WANTED ON IN THE FIRST DAMN PLACE?
You are calling a work phone. Your harassing number has been forwarded to our legal dept.
Ron 2012-01-20 19:40:20 Survey
Unsuscribe??? I'm on the DO NOT CALL list. I have no direct business with you. I have never contacted you. You are calling about a specific action that happened at a dealership, this does not qualify as a survey which means YOU SHOULD NOT BE CALLING US!
You are in violation of the DNC laws.
Rob 2012-01-19 15:38:16 Unknown
The Do Not Call Registries aren't going to be tremendously useful here, and I seriously doubt that the FCC or FTC (whichever government entity has jurisdiction over this particular business practice) is going to be of any real measurable help in this matter.
In my situation (and I suspect many others), the caller behind (818) 725-2292 has been hired by my local car dealer to make these calls. Because I am a customer of the dealership, and because the caller was hired by the dealer, they aren't breaking any laws or violating the tenets of the DNC registry legislation per se. I would like to see them leave a voicemail when sent to voicemail or not call as frequently, but that's another matter entirely.
Your best bet is to contact your local car dealer (assuming this applies to your situation) and simply tell them to make the calls stop. If they want your repeat business, they'll listen. I also had to process a request to be removed from the calling list when I got the last call. It's probably wise to do the same, if you can.
I hope you are successful in getting this caller to stop calling you. :)

OK, so, here's what I've found out about the caller and purpose behind (818) 725-2292.
This is a service, most likely used by the automotive industry for customer retention and other marketing purposes. I've been deluged by calls from this number and when I did my initial research I was bothered that the call was coming from the Los Angeles area since I've never purchased any automotive services in the State of California. In fact, my car has never even left New England.
Over the past weekend I received yet another call, so I answered it. Unfortunately I only half listened to it, but I did recall hearing the name of my local dealership, even if I did not any opportunity to try to get my number removed from the call list.
The notes here and on other community-based sites such as this seem to point to Online Administrators or Peak Performance of Northridge, CA being the party behind the calls.
I reached out to my local dealership and told them how annoying these calls are and that I wanted them to stop. They responded in quick order acknowledging my request and stating that they've done as I asked. One or two days later I get another call. Perhaps it was too soon for my number to be pulled from the next call rotation, but annoying nonetheless. This time I went through the process of telling the system to remove my number. Now it's a waiting game to see if any more calls come in since they have been occurred every 1 to 3 days.
The next step will be to write a letter to the owner of my local Audi dealership and the folks at Online Administrators (Peak Performance). Their contact information (per Google) is: 9255 Corbin Ave., Northridge, CA 91324. Fax: (818) 773-0401, Tel. (800) 888-0024, Email: info@peakpartner.com.

WTF? This is b***s*** with all these telemarketing or phising calls. My wireless phone is on the Do Not Call lists for my state and the federal government, yet all of a sudden I'm seeing more and more calls with most of them coming during the work week at a time when those of us lucky enough to have jobs SHOULDN'T be bothered by these fools. Looks like I need to get in contact with whatever federal agency oversees the Do Not Call lists and start making some noise.
Marilyn Dilley 2012-01-06 23:09:42 Unknown
This phone number is CA is not abiding by my do not call listing
Beth 2011-12-29 00:23:23 Unknown
I would be happy to research this if you provide me with your cell phone # and name. You can email me at info@gotopeak.com. You shouldn't be called on behalf of a dealership 90 miles away but without your information I can't investigate why this is happening.
Have a nice holiday.
Beth 2011-12-29 00:18:35 Unknown
Judy,
If you provide me with your cell number I can remove you from the call list. I apologize for the inconvenience.
Islander 2011-12-13 20:01:12 Unknown
This makes sense: just got my car serviced last week and the calls began right after that. Does anyone know if they eventually give up without my having to answer?
sprintimp 2011-11-29 05:28:03 Telemarketer
Beth,
Explain how I receive a call from a VW dealership 90 miles away I have not done business with, ever? The rules are clear in that I should not receive a pre-recorded commercial message from someone with whom you do not have an established business relationship and to whom you have not given permission to call you. So the DNC rules *** DO APPLY ***. FIle DNC voilation complaint. Oh and I am suing the dealership.
When you asshats pay my cell phone bill then you can advertise to me.

I live in VA. I do not have a new car. I have never had a car serviced at a dealer.......Don't know why they are calling me. No one on the other end when I answered.
Beth 2011-10-18 19:20:54 Unknown
Because you are a current customer of an automotive dealership, the national DO NOT CALL rules do not apply. However, if you would like to unsubscribe, simply call 818 725 2292 and we will be happy to unsubscribe you.

Same as most, I get called daily. I called back late one evening expecting no one to answer, got a voicemail for a peak performance(?). Let a message telling them I've been getting their calls but they never leave a message but since I do not know who they are and will not answer, to take me off their calling list....they just called 5 min ago, haha....getta clue..
