I get text messages from them. They call themselves Homebank.us and tell me to call this number to hear a voice mail. It's most likely a telemarketing call.
Art 2011-06-06 21:00:00 Unknown
I was contacted too. I've been having Scam-problems lately with foreigners telling me that I just won millions, of headaches and bank-frauds. However this one is just plain old telemarketers.
Oh, and to f**k them back, I took the liberty to trace them for ya! Here's what you wanna know about these guys:
T. BROWN
70 Greenwich Ave #281, New York, 10014
1-212-337-9785
tBrown@Equiry.com
GoDaddy pump these idiots out!
However this number is from a residential (private) source out in VA:
1-828-348-6847
THEY WANT YOUR MONEY IN THIS BUMMED-OUT ECONOMY!

I have a T-Mobile account and received a solicitation from this number. I did NOT give them the satisfaction of a reply!

Does anybody else getting calls from this phone number?

I got the text message too - 3 times on Mar 17th 2010. I'm from MI, T-mobile pre-paid. Looks like some company sold our numbers, and it looks like it's T-Mobile or someone from MI stole the numbers from inside T-Mobile - probably a T-Mobile employee.

"You have received a new Co-op Services Credit Union voice message. Call now toll.free: 1 828 348 6847 to hear it." Sent as a VM pic mess. ?? Crazy scammers.

We have a family plan from T Mobile and there are 4 cell phone numbers, we got the same message on all the numbers 3 times between 3/16 and 3/17. We called the customer care at T Mobile to track the source but they could not find it.
Michigan 2010-03-18 18:34:29 Unknown
(I'm the same MI person as on page 1.) I'm in SW Michigan here, and I've gotten three of those messages. I am a T-Mobile customer, though--probably they're just targeting T-Mobile users state-wide.

Live in Michigan, also got the same text. Used http://www.whitepages.com/reverse_phone. Call appears to be originating from an unlisted number; the site states it's in Asheville NC. Intellius shows that the information on who the phone number is registered to is available even though it's unlisted; it hasn't become annoying enough to pay their $4.95 fee to find out this information.

This same thing just happened in Texas a few days ago same scam different phone number. All effected were Tmobile users. I live in MI and had this happen to me too that is when I found out about Texas. Huge issue w/Tmobile getting numbers out there.

Traced the call to a Land Line in Asheville, North Carolina
No such bank listed as "HomeBank" there, but there is a HomeTrust Bank at different phone number.

I received 3 texts in the last 2 days, my wife has gotten at least 2. T-Mobile is giving me a load of crap "not to worry about it, just do not respond". Great, but what if one of my kids gets curious? Seems like T-Mobile would be interested in the security aspect of this :- (
Deania 2010-03-18 00:30:02 Unknown
I've gotten that message several times over the last several days. I called it and it says that there has been a request for my banking info from an IP address in India and they want my credit card number and other info to be sure that my account has not been broken into. I hung up and am calling my bank tomorrow. It smells an awful lot like a fish that's been dead for at least a week to me.
EmS 2010-03-18 00:29:13 Unknown
Same story as everyone else but this has been going on for days with me (tmobile, in MI)
I wonder does tmobile have anything to do with this

I love this site. I always look up unknown numbers here. ^_^ I am from Michigan, received this text moments ago and knew something fishy was going on... Considering I currently don't have a bank account... I'll be sure to pass the message along to friends and family to warm them.
A.Dark 2010-03-17 23:40:01 Unknown
Same here.
Dave 2010-03-17 23:15:25 Telemarketer
I've received three of these texts. Detroit area & T-Mobile.
I've submitted FCC complaints for each of them. I recommend everyone do the same. It only takes a few minutes. If the Feds catch-up with them, violation of the do-not-call list is something like a $16,000 fine per incident.
Also, if you have to pay for texts, call T-mobile and let them know they are spam. They can't credit your account until your billing cycle ends, but they'll make a note of it in your file. I'm not paying $.60 because of these jerks.
Considering calling the police department in NC tomorrow.
