I received an email and phone call...I reported to American Express who suggested that i forward the email to abuse@bankofamerica.com , which I did.

Sidney Hultberg is on caller ID but appears to be a scam on American Express. Don't give out your number or name. Call the American Express Customer Service Number instead.

Thanks for the info on American Express.  Weird that they are calling me.  They asked for a different name (not mine or anyone I know) and called back within less than 2 minutes asking again for the same name as previously.  First time the call came in a couple of days ago I wasn't home and there was no message left.

This is a total scam number trying to be American Express saying they are calling with an urgent matter (always a red flag to me).  The number even came up on my caller ID as American Express.  When I refused to give my number to them, they told me to call American Express.  I called American Express and they said no one from American Express was trying to reach me since my account is fine.  BEWARE!!

I do not even have an account and they called me. Scam.

They called 2 times today  recorded message said they were American Express , another time they said nothing. I think this is a police matter.

so, i called the number to find out why i rcvd the call and inform them i don't have a card - - - when their "represntative" finally answered my call ... he did not speak english very well and continued asking me for my account number after i repeatedly told him I DO NOT HAVE AN AMERICAN EXPRESS CARD ... i told him i want to know where they got my phone number and why i would rcv the call if i am not a card holder - - - HE ASKED ME FOR MY SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER so he could "look up" my account number - - - i told him i would not give him my ssn and at that time, he became *very* belligerent and told me to disregard the call - - - i told him i would not disregard the call, i wanted answers and i wanted to speak with his supervisor...he took my phone number so he could "look up any information attached to my phone number" and he would have his supervisor call me back...ok - SURE!
please, PLEASE, do not fall for this scam and DO NOT give these *EVIL* people your account number, personal information and certainly not your ssn!!!

Received two calls today (11am and 5pm PST) from this cell number. Caller ID says it's from Houston, TX. The second time, I got a recorded voice message nearly identical to 'lu, above. However the call back number was different: 888-265-4835. I didn't call them back and have no intention to do so.
