Tucson number here too.  Someone should stop these people.  I think I would prefer the aliens over a timeshare presentation!  Thanks for the site!

Same thing as everyone else - got a letter from Denise Long at 303-209-6934.  Want to sign you up for a meeting.  They refused to sign me up unless I took the appointment at that momemt.

Is this like the Kars for Kids, where they give you a travel voucher, and then when you try to actually redeem it, you realize they actually charge you for it?

Never got a call, but did get a letter from Denise Long with phone number 817-204-1016.  I called.  They are advertising for a travel agency.  They said they want you to take a tour of the travel agency facility and for doing so you are supposed to get airline tickets.  I todl them I wasn't interested.

I called the local South Carolina phone number (843-264-7055)for Denise Long, VP of the Travel Awards Division of Hoffman Sims.  Dialing the local number without 1-843 did not work, but adding the 1-843 did.   Janet, extension 19, very pleasant.   Hoffman Sims is a marketing company that is trying to get the word out about a new travel company with products like timeshares, cruises, flights, resorts, etc.   She offered to set up an appointment within the next couple of days but did NOT pressure me when I said I would have to talk with my wife.   90 minutes presentation on Meeting Street in Charleston, no promises required, two travel vouchers good for 12 months within the lower 48 states.   $50 taxes per ticket charged only at time of making the bookings.   It SOUNDS legit, but like most of you--I remain skeptical at this point.

My husband received the same letter from a Denise Long, with no return address, handwritten in blue ink with a first class stamp all crooked in the corner. Postal stamped from Phoenix but with a Dallas phone number (214) 269-9106. We live near Dallas.

Denise's hand must be very tired signing all these letters...LOL! I'm a direct mail consultant and this is not a cheap mailer, they are paying some bucks to send these out. They must be having a good response rate or selling a high ticket item to make this worth it... but I won't be calling thanks to this site and all those who posted here.

Not sure where they got our name from. We just moved into an apartment, so most people do not have our new address yet. We do not have any active credit cards (other than debit cards), so it is a mystery to me.

Received mine in Dallas, TX, dated 16th Nov. with a (214) 269-9106, signed Denise Long.  Sounds like Denise does a lot of traveling around the country in a very short time frame....  NOT planning on calling.

l received the same letter - Hoffman Sims from Denise Long, postmark not visible, but has a Dallas callback#214-269-9106. lt's just a marketing ploy as any of the other travel reward companies offer, a bunch of possible gifts if you attend a presentation. Key words " you qualified" not won so since we all are qualifiers do the math on how many more people are qualifiers and the chances of anyone winning. Total waste of time.

Received same letter 11/20/09 with the # 520-494-3170, Denise Long, HoffmanSims, handwritten on envelope, no return address, sent on 11/19/09 from Phoenix. Sure it is a SCAM! Any legitimate business would have included an address either on the letter head or envelope. Said they have been trying to reach me. I doubt it. Contacting State Attorney Generals office.

Denise Long VP of Travel Awards Division seems to be in AZ now. The letter has no return address, but was postmarked in Phoenix. The number listed was (520)494-3170. The call could not be completed as dialed when I attempted it on my land line. The call went through on my cell phone though. You didn't win anything. The are awrded after a 90 minute presentation (restrictions apply). When questioned about what and where the presentation was to be, they gave me no information other that the cross streets. Forget it.

Here is a website though: info@hoffmansims.com

Called for appointment and was told that at presentation would need to present not only id but valid credit cards, in case I bought a subscription to an unnamed membership (Suckers' Club, no doubt) This is clearly a scam to steal credit card identities for "Ms. Long" and her merry band of thieves. Hope they wind up with several "free" tickets to Gitmo.

I  received a hand addressed envelope with a stamp that claimed to have made several attempts to contact me without success. I am qualified for an award of 2 roundtrip tickets in the US valued to 1400.00. I don't fly and don't use award programs. I contacted the email address provided and requested to know how they got my info and to cease any business or correspondence. Denise Long is the Vice President and the phone number is S.C. area code for the lower part of the state....

I, too, got a letter from 'Denise Long' at 817-204-1016. She must be filthy rich to have offices all over the country from the other area codes posted here. I won't be contributing to 'her' bottom line.

I called the number.  Set up an appointment.  Went to the event.

At first I was a little nervous.  It was at an old abandoned warehouse, 4400 Pacific.  When I first got inside, they informed everyone that we would be getting a slight anesthetic from a nurse, while they carve a tiny "V" in our necks to make sure there is skull.

Then the leader proceeded to inform us that there are aliens among us, and they have been here for years.  They only masked their true identities under a shell of skin.  They are really reptiles that are going to eat us, after they give us universal health care.

Worst part, after 90minuts, no airline tickets.

I guess we are the first from AZ.  Postmarked Phoenix with a Tucson phone # of 520-494-3170.  Also with no return address and from Denise Long.  From the looks of this they must have bought our information from a precompiled list.  This usually occurs when we sign up for contests.  Shady credit cards used to do that alot a few years back too.

I got one too.
There are several company names and VP names.
All use the same brown and gold letterhead
hoffman sims
214 269 9106
signed by desnise long

exact same type of letter..

This is from another site:
As of today, with my previous post about Watson Brooks, I have received many comments about similar shell company names that this shady company uses.  It appears that they are using at least 8 different company names.  Many of the actual websites appear to be down, but people continue to get letters from them:

Spencer Burns
Hammond Reed
Donovan Rich
Lambert Steel
Peterson Burke
But three are still up and playing that awful website music:

Watson Brooks
Bradley Tate
The latest edition: Hudson Stone
Also, it appears they have at least four letter signers of fake Vice Presidents to:

Amy Yates
Sandra Wallace
Julie Harris
Ashley Wilcox
Jacqueline Penn
I wouldn’t put it past this company to continue to put these letters out under different shell company names.  If you know of any others, let me know in the comments so I can add it to the list.

Update 9/18/09: Added a new company name and Vice President to the list – thanks to Sam for sharing another shell company name!  Also – it appears that all of these shell companies are being driven by “TravelAgencyAppointment.com“.  It looks like most of these shell company sites are down, but they are certainly still pumping out the scam letters.  This is getting down right stupid.

Got letter yesterday.  Dallas, Texas.  Called from anonymous line.  Confirm have to sit through/take tour of services offered by travel agency to receive tickets, have to pay tax, one calendar year to use, anywhere in continental U.S..  Said they were hoping to drum up some "word of mouth" advertising for travel agency.  Weird how envelope was hand addressed in blue ink, post marked Phoenix AZ, no return address.  Typical marketing scam IMO.
