I recieved a call from 240-206-4613 this afternoon from some lady called Renee saying i have a very urgent matter that needs to be address asap or else she will pushing legal actions against and she ask me to call 844-230-9128 to discuss my options and charges against me. Do anyone has a clue about this people? This is just crazy that you just get a call from someone telling all sort stuff like this

IF you actually did owe some company, you would receive WRITTEN information.  If it was real, would they not have your address???  Phone calls mean nothing.  DEMAND written proof of the debt (not a fax or email either).  Don't waste your time (or be upset) with this.  No, you can NOT be arrested either.


NOTE - the person above you told the caller to contact his attorney & the caller hung up! Would a person/company  with proof of debt do that???

Renee scott calling and threatening on my voice mail that she needed an address, something needed to be sent to me. i had one chance to call 844 230 9128 but the call came from 630 206 4038. NOTHING about what this was about (debt or what???). how do i know they have the right person????

Same as above, I received a threatening voicemail at my home and tried to reverse look up the number they called from (989) 244-4205 as well as the contact number left (844) 230-9128 all were VoIP numbers.
I asked the woman what it was in reference to and she said she could only verify and explain the charges via SSN #. I promptly refused and asked her for direct line to her full name and physical address, she refused to give me an address siting security reasons.  I told her I would be passing this information along to my lawyer, she abruptly hung up. SCAM CITY!! Don't give them anything.

Just got a call from a chic name Casey stating she has some court papers to serve me with wtf! she said to contact the lawyers immediately at 844-230-9128,i checkd my phone for the envelope information and it was a local phone number 714 644 8283.

they called from a 319 number ( my area code) and when i called back it said it will not take numbers calling in that i had to call back the number 844-230-9128. that their client has tired to get ahold of me? That further actions would be taken. It was a threatening sounding message and that they needed my address and place of employment. I will be calling back and reading the rights of the FDCPA to these people considering I dont owe money to anyone.

Received a call from these people at some point over the past few days.  They left a very threatening-sounding message.  Woman caller's name was Nicole something - though I doubt that's her real name. She did not name a company, just kept saying "the firm" (insert mysterious movie music here...)

Bottom line:  These people are scum-scuking bottom-feeders, trying to get you to pay something you very likely don't owe. They are violating the FDCPA (Fair Debt Collection Practices Act) when they leave messages like this.  
1.  They are not making the standard - and required by FDCPA - statement when they call that the call is to collect a debt and and info obtained will be used for that purpose.
2.  They are required by the FDCPA to identify themselves and their company and to tell you what debt they are trying to collect - this caller does none of this.
3. When leaving a message regarding a debt, the caller is not allowed to just leave a message - they have no idea who the message is going to.  They are required to leave a number for you to call back, but are not allowed to leave threatening messages.  This caller claimed to have "charges and a claim" against me - these statements are untrue - if I had any such "charges and claims" against me, I would have been notified long ago by way of a mailed letter or a process server.
4.  This part is not illegal, but it certainly isn't smart on this company's part. They claim they need my home and work address in order to serve me papers at both locations. Ok...so if this company has "charges and claims" against me, then they most certainly should have my address - right? There's your first clue that this company is not legitimate, nor legal. They are attempting to scare you into paying something you do not owe. The next clue is the aggressive, threatening messages they leave, in a near shouting tone of voice, using your name repeatedly and saying at the end of the call, "you have officially been notified!" before hanging up. They know very well this means absolutely nothing - you have been notified that a scam company is trying to collect a nonexistent debt!

i received a call from a Renee Scott stating she has a claim number concerning a debt I owe....you would think if I owe such a debt they would call my direct number. reason I say this if I made a loan of any type there is a space for a phone number.......duh
